Chapter 333 The Apostle War : Arrival
Eris scowled hatefully as she stared up at the man who had nearly killed her sister mere moments ago.
Bekka was trying to play it cool for her sake, but the elf knew that she would never be able to see out of that eye again.
If she’d only moved just a little bit faster, she could have saved her and kept her completely in tact.
She felt guilty, angry, and overwhelmingly vengeful.
Eris’ whole body became engulfed in a strange white glow that she had never displayed before.
She felt the new odd energy within her body beginning to go wild and spread throughout her being.
“Eris…?”
Bekka watched with confusion in her remaining eye as her beloved sister became unrecognizable.
A large white caribou with wicked black horns and beautiful green eyes was now standing where the mature dark elf had been a few moments ago.
Jadaka seemed to be rather surprised as well, as he had absolutely no idea how to identify the strange energy that was now flowing off her body in waves.
Eris tucked her head down and charged at the floating Jadaka, uncaring of her new transformation.
The dragon king prepared to cut her down with his bone sword when shadowy chains wrapped around his torso and restricted his movement.
With no way to defend himself, Jadaka took the full force of Eris’ headbutt and was sent flying through a ruined wall.
A slight breeze on his chest alerted him to the fact that something might have gone wrong, and he looked down at his armor in concern.
There was a large hole dead in the center of his chest plate, and the rest of his armor had started to show some signs of cracking as well.
‘This isn’t possible..!’
This armor was supposed to be indestructible when it came to magic and weaponry, as it was made from the scales of the golden dragon himself in addition to the extremely rare orichalcum.
It shouldn’t have been damaged by anything, let alone the horns of a simple animal!
“You’re done, Jadaka!”
Crawling up from the ground, the dragon king saw a sight that made his nerves boil.
Audrina was sitting on the back of Eris, while holding the same accursed black chains that were still restricting his own movement.
But a small thing like that isn’t what made this scene so infuriating.
All eight of the wives were once again assembled and surrounding him like he was some sort of meager prey to be closed in on.
It was at this moment that he realized that he couldn’t sense his army anymore.
This was unbelievable!
He wasn’t counting, but he suspected that he’d been busy fighting for around twenty minutes or so.
It took them only that long to kill five hundred million people!?
He wasn’t sure if he should marvel at their prowess or curse the uselessness of his own men!
Even Lotan had been defeated, and his head was currently hanging on the side of Seras’ belt like some kind of fucking accessory!
“A joke… this is all a monumental fucking joke!!” He roared.
Apophis exhaled another wave of his Eitr level poison that made even the ground begin to shake, and Jadaka felt his body beginning to show some sort of reaction.
His lungs and eyes felt like they were being burned with hot peanut oil, and he could already feel the blood starting to well up in his esophagus.
While it wasn’t going to kill him, it was going to make him fucking miserable.
“No more games… NO MORE GAMES!!”
Jadaka flexed his arms and the chains binding him broke under his strength.
His sword quickly returned to his open palm, and he raised the blade high above his head.
“I’ll see all of you burn to death in front of me! This entire world will be underneath my boots, and none of you will live long enough to witness my glorious ascension!!”
At his behest, the purple gem in the pommel of his sword started to shine with a black light, and a hole opened up in the sky.
–
In the human lands of Gilgamesh, there stands a pure white cathedral that was the center of their worship and praise.
In the highest room at the top of the tallest tower, Samyaza could be seen sitting at a table in his private chambers.
He was currently reading a book and looking to be at total peace with his environment.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door to his private chambers and he sighed in disappointment.
‘Right as I was about to get to the smut…’
“Please, come in.” He said politely.
In the next moment the door opened and a woman walked in to the bedroom.
She was absolutely gorgeous, with long brown hair that went down to her butt and green eyes that shone like pure emeralds.
She did not have a voluptuous figure or a knockout sexy appearance, instead she had a slimmer build that was reminiscent of elves.
“Ah, it’s you Charlene. Are you doing well, dear?” Samyaza said politely.
The young woman seemed absolutely elated that she was being referred to so casually by his eminence, and even had free rein into his personal chambers.
It was akin to every young woman’s dream to live a life like this.
And it made her even more elated to tell him the news that she had for him.
She placed her hands on her stomach and let a small tear of joy fall from one of her green eyes.
“My eminence… It appears as though I am with child.”
Samyaza required only a millisecond to verify this information, and he immediately teleported in front of her.
“It… is true…! You are with child, my dear..!” He said excitedly.
The woman’s joy multiplied one hundred fold when she saw that the man she loved was even more excited than she was.
This day was truly a monumental and auspicious one.
Samyaza was so moved that he pulled her into his arms and carried her towards the bed.
“M-My eminence-“
“You are free to call me Samyaza now, my dear. You are going to be my empress, there need not be a hierarchy between us.”
“I see… my darling Samyaza..!”
The archangel lay the woman on the bed gently and started to pull off her white gown.
“I’m sorry for my haste but I feel so overwhelmed with emotion in this moment that I cannot think of any other way to relieve myself.” He said obsessively.
Charlene seemed to have no real issue with his sudden passion and she held out her arms as she waited for him to embrace her.
“You need not apologize. All of my being is for you to do with as you wish!”
Elated, Samyaza prepared to dive on top of her and lose himself in ecstasy when he suddenly paused and his multicolored eyes nearly left his skull.
Even his new empress could feel it, for some reason the air within the world seemed to have become dreadfully heavier.
“W-What… is that..?”
“Charlene, stay here.”
Samyaza moved off the bed and pulled on a white robe to cover his upper body.
Before the woman could ask where he was going, he disappeared in a flash of golden light.
–
Jadaka’s sword had a very special and frightening feature.
It could be used to kill dragons and absorb their power, sure. But there was also an entirely different and some might say more unfair ability.
Subjugation.
Upon delivering a fatal wound to a dragon, Jadaka could actually takeover their minds and souls; making them into his own overgrown drones.
And since Jaldabaoth wanted to be sure that he could kill Abaddon, he gave him a few to spare.
Out of the enormous portal in the sky, ten enormous dragons that looked like ghosts started falling from a pocket dimension. πππ½ππ΅ππ²xt.π¬πΆπ
But these were not regular run of the mill dragons from Dola.
These were true dragons, and every one of them looked to have been over five thousand years old before they died.
For reference, the meant that each of these creatures were around the same level of strength as a greek olympian.
And Jadaka had just summoned ten of them onto this world that was never meant to handle such a level of power.
They were all different shapes and sizes, from eastern to western, and there was even an eerily familiar one with three heads.
The mere pressure from these creatures flattened most buildings in the already destroyed Luxuria, and severely damaged the structure of the rest.
As the wives and Apophis watched these creatures soar overhead, a feeling of helplessness sank into their bones for the first time.
This was so far beyond any of their current capabilities.
“Do you feel defeated? Does despair plague your being??” Jadaka taunted.
None of the family offered him a rebuttal, as they gritted their teeth hatefully.
Without a doubt, this man was the one person they hated with all of their being.
There was nothing that they wouldn’t give to see him die a fiery death, but as of right now they didn’t have any way to make that dream a reality.
Or did they?
‘Girls… I think I am going to make the ascension.’ Audrina said with great difficulty.
Unsurprisingly, none of the girls were having it.
Valerie: ‘What!?’
Lailah: ‘Are you crazy!?’
‘No! If I succeed in becoming an actual goddess, then maybe I can balance the scales before the world ejects me to the upper realm!’
Bekka: ‘We said no! You only have a thirty percent chance of success and after you leave this place we might forget you!’
‘I know the risks, but what other choice do we have, Bekka?? If I don’t do this then we die here now!’
All of the girls gritted their teeth as tears inadvertently fell from their eyes.
Was there truly no other way to come out of this situation alive??
“No… look!”
Apophis suddenly pointed to the faraway horizon were a horrifying scene played before their eyes.
Millions upon millions of demons and vampires were approaching on their wings, along with an army of blazing phoenixes and burly dwarves riding on the backs of whoever they could hitch a ride from.
In the lead, Valerica was accompanied by Darius, Audrina’s sister Isabelle and the Euphrates who had been sent away alongside the army.
“We will not abandon the royal family!!”
“We will overcome any triumph together!”
“That bastard killed my best friend, I want his head on a spike!”
The door to the manor was flung open, and all of the inhabitants trickled outside, led by Sei, Mira, and Gabbrielle.
It seemed to be very clear that they had grown tired of staying idle as well, and had finally come to help.
Even Yara and the scarred and one-armed Asmodeus were back outside, uncaring of the danger.
But the empresses were more than a little horrified to see all of the people they so wished to protect running head first into this suicidal mission.
“You fools.. why couldn’t you listen…!” Lisa sobbed.
She wasn’t the only one getting emotional, as most of the wives were now showing some degree of grief.
Jadaka smiled gleefully at their utter misery as his eyes also went to the reinforcements coming from the sea.
“Now this is perfect! You obliterated my army, I should pay you the same courtesy , yes?”
“NO!”
“Eviscerate them all!” he ordered.
As the ten dragons trained their focus on the Tathamet’s army, all eight wives lunged at Jadaka irregardless of their weaknesses or fear of defeat.
Laughing maniacally, Jadaka raised his own weapon and prepared to cut down the first one to clash blades with him.
A catastrophe was about to unfold, and the world seemed to brace itself for a battle in which irreparable damage would be done.
But before first blood could be drawn, there was a change.
It was nothing dramatic, and yet everyone noticed it.
A chill ran up the spines of every living and undead creature in the entire world without even known were it came from.
It was the feeling that comes from introducing a brand new apex predator into the animal kingdom.
However, only a select few were able to pinpoint who or what this new feeling could be coming from.
Even if it was drastically different from what they remembered.
For Samyaza who had been watching this debacle from high in the sky above, this was more than a small surprise.
‘I thought I might have to step in myself but it seems there is no need… Show me something grand then, Abaddon.’
