First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 536 A Goddess’ Apology

As Abaddon towered above Nyx, a woman suddenly appeared on top of his head, right in between his eyes.

“Oh, you’re up Audri? I thought you and Bekka would be down all day…”

“N-Nevermind that! Tell me right now what that Greek bitch said to you! Did she try to get in your pants?!”

“Of course she did.”

“D-Did you let her?!”

“I think you know me better than that.”

In an instant, Abaddon reverted back to normal while holding the curvaceous Audrina in his arms.

He kissed her immediately without reservation and reveled in the feeling of her body softening in his embrace.

When he pulled away, he could see that her cheeks were slightly flushed and she had a hazy eyed look.

“Feeling calmer?”

“…My head is atleast.”

Abaddon smiled as he in gently pushed her hair out of her face.

“Have a little more faith in me, darling. You girls are all that I can see, and I will never be taken from you.”

Audrina’s eyes became slightly watery as she rested her head on Abaddon’s chest.

She had never once been an insecure woman in her entire life, but she had to admit that Nyx made her feel a tiny bit threatened.

Perhaps because she was a goddess of darkness, she found Nyx to be slightly intimidating.

In the same manner that a 5th grade spelling bee winner would look at a English professor from Harvard.

She was almost unfathomable.

“So you aren’t… developing an attraction to her, are you?” Audrina asked shyly. “Because I would hate to bite that dick of yours off if it started trying to wander.”

Abaddon smiled like a helpless idiot, and Audrina knew that she had her answer.

“Nevermind.. it seems I was just being silly.” She said warmly.

Abaddon started to kiss her again, when suddenly he felt the energy in the air grow significantly heavier.

Looking down beneath them, the pair found Nyx being cornered by a very irate Bekka.

A very… very irate Bekka at that.

Since she had firmly claimed her position among the wives as the strongest, she had become even more lazy and relaxed than normal.

Possibly because she did not wish to start acting in some authoritarian manner or exerting some kind of dominance over those who were supposed to be her loved ones.

Due to that fact, she absolutely never used any more power than was needed for a given situation.

Almost as if she had imposed a certain ‘limiter’ on her self, if you will.

But now, the dam holding back her powers had been totally freed and she was more dangerous than ever.

Somehow, she had grown even taller to match her husband’s 7’4.

Her body that was once significantly buffer had slimmed down a bit, giving her a more lean and agile look.

Bold glowing tattoos dangerously similar to Abaddon’s adorned her dark flesh and gave her a holy and overpowering aura.

Her silver hair floated in several different directions as if they were in outer space, and the long skirt she wore was mimicking the same pattern.

Sitting on her shoulders was a pair of furry pauldrons with long black spikes pointing up towards the sky.

Covering her beautiful face was a large golden mask that neither Abaddon or Audrina had ever seen before.

On it was a depiction of some sort of snarling demonic dog paired with strange characters written in Chinese hanzi.

In her hand she held the largest nine ringed broadsword that any of them had ever seen, and she pointed it directly at Nyx’s neck.

“I will only ask you once… did you touch my husband?”

Nyx wore that same calm, amused smile that she always wore whenever she interacted with other beings beneath the primordial realm.

“…I might have gotten a little-“

*BOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!*

Bekka felt her eyes suddenly narrow as her husband appeared out of nowhere to grab her wrist mid-swing.

“Honey… please move aside.”

Abaddon smiled helplessly. “Not this time, my love. Please take a moment to relax.”

Bekka’s grip on her weapon tightened so much that she almost crushed the metal in her palm.

“What she did is inexcusable.”

“And I am not excusing it. I simply don’t wish to see you waste your effort on a futile endeavor. For the moment… she is still above us.”

Abaddon could clearly hear Bekka’s teeth grinding from behind her mask.

“…I’m sorry.”

Suddenly, Abaddon and Bekka glanced over at Nyx, who for some reason looked a bit embarrassed.

“I.. have known a great many entities. And I have had even more enemies.

My only constants throughout the multiverse are my family, so I suppose that you could say that the concept of ‘friendship’ is a foreign one to me.

In my excitement over this new avenue, I seem to have overstepped your boundaries with my playfulness… I do hope that you will forgive me.”

Nyx didn’t bow her head, cry, or utilize any overtly dramatic mannerisms to elicit sympathy from those who she was apologizing to.

And yet, she couldn’t possibly have been more sincere.

“Most impressive, Abaddon. Earning a sincere apology from a goddess as proud as this one is no easy feat.”

Izanami suddenly appeared with the young Nubia in her arms and Belloc and Sei at her side.

Briefly, Nyx felt like she had to do a double take.

“Izy?!”

“…I asked you not to call me that.”

“What are you doing here..? .. And why do you no longer resemble a corpse??”

Izanami’s scowl only deepened.

“I am a part of this family too. My descendent is Abaddon’s first wife.”

At that moment, Lailah came down with a much calmer Lisa and Seras in tow.

Though the proclaimed witch of dominion was glaring daggers at the night goddess.

“I see… no wonder none of you seem to be very in awe of my presence.”

At that moment, no one really had the heart to tell Nyx that they just weren’t the kind of dragons who got starstruck.

Sighing, the goddess of night sidestepped Abaddon so that she could stand directly in front of Bekka.

And then… the goddess just seemed to phase in and out of existence before returning to normal.

But Abaddon could tell she was different.

As the apex predator, he could practically smell it.

He could kill her now if he gave the battle his all.

“You fool… what are you doing?” Izanami questioned in horror.

However, Nyx ignored her and kept focusing on Bekka instead.

“You wanted to stab me, right? To show you the depths of my sincerity, you are free to give me a wound that will not heal.”

Bekka was stunned into silence, but Abaddon wasn’t.

“Nyx.. what have you done to yourself?”

The goddess smiled in amusement as she gestured to her body.

“I’m surprised that you didn’t pick it up during our fight, but primordial beings function on a different wavelength or vibration than the rest of you.

It is the reason that for all of your strength you could not overpower me, and why every injury that you subjected me to healed in nanoseconds.

But if I bring myself down to your vibration… things are different.”

Izanami couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

Gods are lots of things, but paranoid is chief among them.

This especially goes for Primordials.

Their power makes them a source of fear and envy for many, and the multiverses are always cranking out some new upstart being to challenge them.

As a result, the thought, the very idea that one of them would intentionally make themselves susceptible to bodily harm is utterly laughable.

And if Izanami wasn’t seeing this scene with her own eyes, she never would have believed it.

Bekka stared at Nyx for a long time as if she were trying to get some kind of read on her intentions.

Eventually, she sighed as she put her sword away and dispelled her transformation.

“Forget it… I’m not going to stab after you went out of your way to apologize… just keep your hands off my husband in the future… he is the one precious thing I own.”

Underneath the weight of Bekka’s possessive words and warm gaze, Abaddon blushed unconsciously as he looked away.

He was used to Bekka being his lazy and sometimes ditzy wife.

Who told her to start saying all of these cute and intimate things in person?!

Nyx went back to normal and tried not to unleash a string of perverted comments at the sight of a nervous Abaddon.

‘Don’t force yourself on him, don’t force yourself on him, don’t force…”

While Nyx said her new mantra over and over again, Belloc finally approached Nyx in his Sunday best and lowered his head respectfully.

“If you do not mind, goddess, I would like to ask you for a small favor.”

Even if you had’ve told Nyx this was going to happen, she still would have been surprised by this current turn of events.

“A favor..?”

“Yes, ma’am. If you don’t mind, I would appreciate it if you could help me and my siblings get safe passage to your alternate’s world so that I might marry the woman of my dreams.”

“…”

“…”

“…”

“…”

Unable to voice her surprise well enough, Nyx’s jaw simply fell open from shock.
