Chapter 1031 - Lesson
"Eh?" Rose couldn't understand what Anya was saying. "Why am I out with you hitting my head?"
"You haven't realized it yet?" Anya smiled. "This is all part of the plan, you know."
"Plan? There is nothing like that in—" Rose suddenly fell silent before turning to Alex with a shocked expression. "Master's Plan?"
Her answer came in the form of a smile, and it was when she realized that Alex had been scheming this whole fight.
"You just realized that I had bought Anya off from your side." Alex made a smug smile.
"Master. You are cheating."
"This is what I want to teach you. The process is not important. If you lose, you write the history." Alex patted her head. "After all, you would have died if this is a real fight, and with our current place, no one knows how you die. I can tell all Eulja what happens to you."
"Then…" She glanced at Anya.
"Alex approached me yesterday to give this lesson to you. He wanted to teach you how important the trust of your comrade is. For example, you didn't know that I was a double-agent until you lost. Why? It's simple. You didn't check us before the fight." Anya explained.
"Then…" She looked down, pouting.
"Yes. The reason why I could hit him was actually a part of his plan. If you saw me hitting him, you would believe that we were on the same side. After that, you would fall deeper into the hole. You remember what you did earlier, right? You kept protecting me even though I was the enemy all along.
"Of course, you could catch Alex's movement since he never really hit me with anything. Even the dragons were blocked by the others. Hence, you need to know your own allies first before knowing your enemies. Only if you trust them can you start a war without worry."
"Then, all this is only for a farce?" Rose asked before turning to the other girls.
"Nope. We didn't know anything about this." Alicia clarified while raising her hands.
"Well, Alex planned to ask them, but he went to me only. After understanding his plan, I agreed to it. This is the best time for you to learn that betrayal is the worst thing that can happen in a war. You can hate betrayal or fear it, but never forget about it and fear to jump into it." Anya continued. "This is the lesson."
"Yeah. That's right." Alex smiled. "Well, I can ask Anna another thing, give Alicia another task, or command the others to separate all of you. Of course, I am not telling you to distrust Eulja, you just need to take better care of it. Okay?"
Rose nodded.
"You have a talent in leadership. There were a few times that I thought you would hit me, and if I didn't have my current ability, I would have died a few times. I believe that you can get stronger after this. Remember this lesson and go on. Your Master will keep guiding you." Alex smiled.
"Master…" Rose looked at Alex with a warm expression before narrowing her eyes-dead serious. "Is this the truth? Or should I not trust your words?"
"…" Alex was taken aback before laughing. "Pfft."
The others also began laughing since Rose was just joking.
"That's right. Since this is also another lesson, that means there won't be a punishment, no?" Rose's tone was nonchalant, trying to make Alex say "Yes" so that she could escape from the punishment.
"Of course…" Alex said, making Rose happy, but he still continued. "Not. This is this, that is that. Your punishment will still be carried on. You can't escape from that."
"What?!" Rose stepped back. "But you said this is a lesson."
"Then, we can treat it as your lesson fee."
"But you are my master."
"Punishment or lesson fee. You can only choose one." Alex narrowed his eyes.
Rose looked down while pouting. "As expected, you are indeed a bully."
"Haha… Let's go back first." Alex laughed while snapping his finger.
They gathered inside his array and teleported to Eulja.
"Alright. You guys can go first. Anna, Anya, Xingzhi, stay with me after this," Alex said while waving his hand.
They nodded and walked away to do their own thing.
"I am thinking of talking to your parents first," Alex looked at Anna and Anya and said, "What do you think?"
They exchanged looks and nodded. Anna answered, "I don't think we have a problem. Besides, our parents are waiting for you, especially our father. He seems to have something important to tell you, but I don't know what it is."
"I see." Alex nodded. "Tell the others too that I will be visiting them shortly." Alex turned to Lin Xingzhi.
"Don't worry. I will give them a simple message and inform you of the best place to meet them." She nodded.
"Alright. I will go to meet them first." Alex turned to Anna. "Do you think I need a present or something? I don't know what to give them."
"You don't need to worry about that." Anna shook her head. "They don't need anything."
"That's right. Mother often threw the gifts away and will tell you that the best present is yourself. So, let's just visit the house." Anya supported Anna's statement.
Lin Xingzhi nodded. "It's true. Give my regards to Aunt and Uncle. I will be doing my job now."
"Yes."
"What about their name?" Alex asked. He realized that he hadn't asked about their names yet. It would be offensive if he didn't know their names yet after marrying their daughters.
"Ah! They will introduce themselves. That's what they told me." Anna answered. "After all, they want you to be true of yourself. If you know them first, it feels like you are the Sprit God instead of Alexander Sirius."
"…" Alex fell silent and nodded. "I understand. I will go there as it is."
"Then, I will guide you to the house. Of course, with your Teleportation Array. The direction is this way." She pointed slightly to the north.
"Use a quarter of the distance," Anya added.
Alex nodded and snapped his finger, creating the Teleportation Array. "See you later."
Lin Xingzhi waved her hand. "See you later."
They then disappeared.
…
A few minutes later.
They arrived at a small simple house. It had a unique shape.
"A mushroom?" Alex muttered while staring at the house. It was a mushroom-shaped house. He could see a small chimney on the very top and windows on the side.
The house itself wasn't that big, but it had this warm feeling. Considering that it was only a house for two most of the time since Anna and Anya usually slept in the castle, it was a perfect house for a couple to live their retirement life.
"This is our home." Anna smiled while stretching her hand, showing Alex the house.
"It's a good house." Alex nodded, genuinely thought what he said earlier.
"Thanks. How about coming in?" Anna then reached the door's handle, asking him to come in.
When she pushed open the door, there was an old lady carrying a pan.
"Mother! We're home!" Anya leaped toward the old lady, tackling her to the ground.
Meanwhile, Anna grabbed the flying pan, including the food in it. "Oi, Anya. It's dangerous!"
"My…" She smiled and stroked Anya's hair instead before glancing at Anna with a warm expression. "Don't worry. Anya means good."
"This is why Anya acted like this. You always spoiled her, Mother." Anna let out a long sigh. "I wish you can be more strict."
"Fufu. How can I? I will treat you the same."
"This is why you should have one strict person in the house or it will be ruined," Anna complained. "Just take a look at Father. He is annoying."
"Right. You are always helping with the house." Her mother smiled and stretched her hand to Anna's head before pulling her to her embrace. "Come here, Dear."
"Un. Mother." She nodded and hugged her despite the complaints. Anya put on a big smile, seeing her act this mild in front of their mother.
No matter how old you are, in front of a mother, you will always be a child.
"That's right. We have brought someone with us." Anya pointed her finger to the man outside the house waiting for them.
"My." She slightly widened her eyes and said. "Welcome to this humble home, Sir Spirit God, no, you prefer to be called Alexander, right?"
"Yes, please, Madam." Alex nodded with a warm smile.
"Come here, Dear. You don't bring anything, right? If you bring anything, I will throw it out."
"Anna and Anya told me earlier…" Alex didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Normally, he would bring something, but there was nothing that this couple couldn't have, so he decided to follow Anna's instructions.
"That's good. There is no best present other than yourself. Why do even parents-in-law want dowry when the best dowry itself is their son-in-law?" She patted Alex's head. "Let's go in. I just cooked something. We can talk inside."
Alex gently nodded and followed the old lady.
"That's right. I heard that no one told you about us yet, so I am just going to introduce myself. I am Vina. You can call me Mother like these two kids."
"I will do so, Mother," Alex called her right away, not rejecting it. After all, he had married Anna and Anya for a long time. Although there was no party or whatsoever, he had done it, so it was right to call her Mother.
"Good. Do you like tea? Or do you want wine?"
"I will drink whatever you give me, Mother." Alex smiled.
"Then, I will bring out my best tea then." She brought Alex to the living room. There was only one round table in the middle of the room. The floor was soft and perfect for laying down like that of tatami, but it seemed to be of higher quality. "Please sit. I will call my husband here and prepare the tea."
"Yes."
Vina then took the pan from Anna and headed to the kitchen.
Anna and Anya then sat beside him before an aged voice resounded in the room as an old man walked in. "Oh, it seems my son-in-law has finally shown himself. I thought you are going to make me wait a few more decades."
He tied his long hair to tidy his appearance up a bit while coming in with a cup of hot tea.
Alex bowed his head politely. "I believe this is the first time we meet, Light God."
"Well, it's true that this is the first time we met." He nodded and waved his hand. "Don't need to be this formal with me. I am Rilt, these two's father. You can call me father too."
"Then, I will do so, Father." Alex didn't hesitate and called him father. "I apologize for not meeting you even though Anna and Anya have…"
"No need to apologize. I understand your position and difficulty. We don't need to look at the past. After all, you visit me today. Let's talk about the future instead." Rilt smiled.
Alex couldn't help but smile when looking at this warm father. "Yes. I won't mention it."
"I heard that you wouldn't have a child before finishing that matter, right? Although it's a shame, I do agree with that. We are concentrating our resources on you, well, the Former Spirit God is, so I believe you can claim the throne as soon as possible. That's why I agree with this matter. Just make sure they don't wait that long, okay?"
"I will do my best." Alex nodded with a serious expression.
"That's good. I can't wait to carry my little grandchildren on my arm, but I will trust you in this matter." He nodded before his expression turned serious. "For now, I have one thing to ask you. This is a very important matter, so I want you to be honest with me."
Alex gulped down when he saw his serious expression. He also looked at him with a severe expression while wondering what he wanted to ask. "Please."
Even Anna and Anya furrowed their eyebrows. They thought this was a serious matter.
He closed his eyes for a second before opening them again, making the atmosphere tenser.
"Do you prefer boobs or ass?"
