Chapter 783 - A Surprise
Chapter 783 - A Surprise
A week later.
More than ten people gathered in a single room. They were supposed to standby since the dawn had come and the promised day had arrived, but these ten people were sitting in a room as if nothing mattered.
A man with black hair stood in front of them and glanced at them. "I am the representative of Spirit Nest, and these two are my companions. Thank you for coming here, Blackwade Clan, Drunken Pavilion, and Freedom Sect. I am going to be brief since we are going to proceed with our mission tomorrow."
The others in the room nodded their heads with a solemn look. They took a deep breath and asked, "May we know what and where will we go tomorrow?"
He nodded and took out a map. When he stretched it and let everyone see, they recognized the map almost immediately, since it was this city's map.
There were many markings all over the map, filling a third of the map. And they were mostly situated on the outer ring of the city.
"As you might already be aware, this is the map of the city. The red markings you see are the Arrays. I have the Array Plates to destroy their arrays, and you will throw the monster blood on the top of the arrays. I think this explanation is good enough. Anyway, this is the list of the arrays along with your name. Freedom Sect will help you in bringing you everywhere. After you have finished your mission, we will meet again outside the city." Nano handed them a few papers along with the Space Rings.
Each representative took the rings and paper before heading out. They couldn't really talk too much in this situation. Luckily, they had given a specific mission and enough explanation to execute, so it wouldn't be a problem.
When everyone left the room, one of the companions came closer and whispered. "Nano. Do you think they will do their job right?"
"No way. I have no trust other than everyone in the N squad, so we will check everything to make sure everyone did their job. Luckily, checking them would only take one or two seconds, so it won't take too much time." Nano nodded.
"If only we had enough numbers to destroy everything… If we only have another twenty people with us, I think we can do it without their help."
"It's fine. Everything has been calculated by Mistress Anya and approved by our Master. We will simply execute it." Nano waved his hand.
"Alright. An hour before we start destroying and another hour before the war break out…"
"Yeah. Everyone will get busy soon." Nano nodded and rose from his seat before the three of them disappeared.
Just like how Nano and the others had a secret meeting inside the Fire God Clan City, the three leaders also had the last meeting before going to the war.
"As you said, we have confirmed that the Spirit Nest only has less than twenty people. No matter how strong they are, they won't be able to defeat our people." Leo grinned as he couldn't wait to kill those people.
'Haiz. You don't know the plan of Alexander Sirius…' Davi closed his eyes in disappointment.
"That's right. I will make sure he pays for everything he did." Liza, on the other hand, had the same confidence as Leo.
"Since it's like this, I am going to capture the Spirit Nest first, so we can end this battle faster." Leo nodded with a solemn look. "The sun will rise within an hour, and I believe the disciples will get ready in another hour. Make sure that they don't get the upper hand by utilizing a surprise attack."
"I guess we should go to our position now." Davi shrugged. Leo had been observing him this whole time but to no avail. As much as he hated it, Leo finally considered Davi as one of them. "That's right. I want to request one thing from you guys."
"What is it?" Leo and Liza furrowed their eyebrows.
"I simply want to start the war. You know my people right? They seem to be pretty pumped up for this, so I think I want to utilize it to gain the upper hand. Since Fire God Clan is the focus this time, I apologize for asking something like this."
"Oh! Such a simple request. Our Fire God Clan doesn't have a problem since it will be awkward to rally the disciples with an opponent like the Spirit Nest. I will let you start."
"Fair enough. My Snow White Mountain isn't a barbarian like yours." Liza shrugged.
"In that case, I will leave first." Davi nodded. "I will try to hit them hard first before dragging them inside the town where we use the arrays to fight them."
"Yes." Leo and Liza nodded at the same time.
Davi then waved his hand and flew away.
…
One hour later.
Alex stood in front of his little group of elites, sandwiched by two giant influences along with the numerous disciples of the Fire God Clan together with the mercenaries they recruited.
"Hmm… Around three thousand Martial Monarchs and thirty thousand Martial Emperors… I guess the rest is Martial King or below. From the looks of it, the number is around the same as the Freedom Sect." Alex gazed upon the huge number of energy signs inside the city.
"Yes. If we also calculate their mercenaries, they have an addition of two hundred Martial Saints, two thousand Martial Monarchs and the rest are Martial Emperors. In total, they have thirty thousand." Anya nodded.
"Well, they will be fighting the Blackwade Clan, so you don't need to count them. Although the Freedom Sect could only spare a small number, they are elites. As soon as the Ancient Blue Family leaves the city, we will enter together with the Freedom Sect before activating the array." Alex nodded.
"Yes. I think everyone is ready."
Alex looked at the flag in the middle of the Blackwade Clan and Drunken Pavilion. He told them to change the flag into blue if they finished their preparation, so Alex smiled as he raised both hands, pointing at each influence. "Go!"
Just like that, a few figures appeared beside him. They were the ones he stationed in the other influences, which would only make it grander. After all, Alex only had less than ten people left in his rank, and they were supposed to take on more than a hundred thousand people on their own. If that wasn't insane, then no one knows what is insane.
Seeing this, Leo obviously began to fume in anger. He rose to the sky and shouted out loud.
"Alexander Sirius! Why did you separate your little force again?! Are you looking down on my Fire God Clan?!"
Even though it was from far away, the voice resounded across the region as it had been enhanced by his Spiritual Energy.
Alex also did the same, but his tone was more relaxed. "I don't know what you are talking about. But if you want to take it as me looking down on you, I don't really mind. To be honest, I really respect you because this is the first time I need to raise an army to this scale. It surpassed my previous record in my war on the Willow Continent."
"Hmph! You are still arrogant. Just look at you! We have more than one hundred thousand here, but you?! You only have less than ten people! I will destroy you here and enslave those women. I will make them experience something worse than death, and everything is because of you."
Alex narrowed his eyes and released his killing intent. "If you are provoking me with that, I can say you have succeeded to do so. That's why I am going to beat you to the point you can't even hit me back!"
"Hmph! With that puny number of yours? Come here. I am not afraid of you!"
"Then, I will show you what it means to be scary. Don't worry. I am not the same person as you. I won't enslave other people because I will kill them here and now." Alex took a deep breath and shouted out loud. "Blackwade Clan, Drunken Pavilion. Listen to me. If any of you dare to r.a.p.e or enslave the people here, I will be the first one to be your enemy! I don't mind being called a tyrant, but I am not someone who enjoys such a sight. I am not someone who will torture a person if I don't need to, and I dare to say that the count is still below ten."
"Ho?! Such an admirable speech… That is if you can defeat me!" He snorted.
Suddenly, a voice echoed in his mind. "Master. Everything has been taken care of."
Alex was startled at first, but he soon recognized Nano's voice before smiling.
"Why are you smiling?"
"It's simply funny. Now that I think about it, I believe our conflict shouldn't escalate to this if you held your greed. If you didn't send those people to me just for the sake of my Sacrificial Fire, we wouldn't need to face each other today." Alex chuckled.
"I will make you regret becoming my enemy." Leo clicked his tongue while releasing his killing intent. He couldn't admit such a thing.
"No. You." Alex snorted as he raised his right hand, signaling to get ready.
Leo also raised his hand before pointing his index finger toward Davi since they had agreed to let him go first.
Davi looked at this and smirked.
"All people from my Ancient Blue Family. Look at those guys from the Blackwade Clan. They have been living in luxury, not knowing how to fight this whole time. And now! Look at us! Who is the strongest in the continent?" Davi roared in front of his Ancient Blue Family.
"Ancient Blue Family!" The men and women shouted in unison, shaking even the ground.
"Who is the fighter that has been polished to the highest degree?"
"Ancient Blue Family!" They shouted again, trying to burst the enemies' eardrums with their voices.
"Now the time has come. Follow me!" Davi shouted out loud, took his sword, and flew toward the Blackwade Clan.
The Blackwade Clan raised their weapons as they planned to butcher these people. They looked at their leader standing in front of them while crossing his arm. His back looked very gallant and dependable.
With a Clan Leader like him, something like the Ancient Blue Family didn't need to be feared. They smiled, raised their fighting spirit, and roared.
Each family head looked at each other while releasing their killing intent, but the moment the distance between them shrunk to a few meters. Both of them roared.
"Ancient Blue Family!"
"Blackwade Clan!"
"Ooh!" With the shout of their two leaders and the incoming enemies, they were eager to fight them. And the two leaders shouted again.
"Cease your actions! Let them pass (We won't fight)!"
"…"
