Chapter 850 - A Yandere?
"I AM SORRY!!!"
The scream echoed almost to all ears in his surroundings. People had been shocked by the appearance of these two creatures slightly turning their heads, only to find their king bowing his head while apologizing.
They didn't know whether to be shocked once more or thought this was a dream.
Unfortunately, the dragon king seemed to be not satisfied with this and narrowed his eyes.
'There is something I want to say about this, but I won't prolong this talk because we have many things to do. I want to ask you where you threw away that dangerous flower?'
'Eh?' The king opened his mouth in surprise. He tilted his head in confusion, not knowing why the dragon king wanted that dangerous flower that could kill a powerful being. 'Are you going to use the flower for the war?'
'Yes.' The dragon king didn't lie. It was indeed to fight the devils, but he needed to give it to Alex, so the latter could help them in a war. 'So, where is it?'
The king turned paler as he stumbled and fell on his butt. 'I… I…'
'I what? I don't need your excuse. What I want is an answer!' The dragon king roared again.
'I threw it to the sea that can't be mixed.'
'What?!'
'The nearby field couldn't hold that flower anymore because it kept killing people coming around that area. Because of that, I decided to throw it into that sea.'
The dragon king closed his eyes and informed Alex about what was going on.
'That's the case.'
'Ask him when he threw it.'
The dragon nodded and asked.
'It was a few weeks ago,' The king replied.
Alex thought for a moment. 'The flower itself shouldn't be possible to be extinguished by a mortal body. There is a possibility that a fish eating this flower will end up dying, but it's going somewhere. I think we should go to the sea and search around an area where we can find many dead fishes.'
'I understand. Luckily, it was only a few weeks ago. If it were a year ago or more, the area would become too unpredictable.'
'Yes. I will—' Before Alex finished his words, a loud voice echoed in his left ear. "Haha… Here you are!"
Alex turned left and found the hero along with his companions. Liliana was hugging her own body and couldn't look straight as if she didn't know how to face Alex. It seemed she had tried to stop the hero from going here, albeit another failure.
"Don't think you can run now. I might not be able to compete with you back then, but I can reach rank 1 within two weeks. I am a genius!" The hero made a smug smile.
"Annoying." Alex clicked his tongue and called Mithra. "Kick his ass for me!"
"I understand." Mithra nodded and leaped to the city wall, glaring at the hero with a cold gaze.
'Are you trying to make a problem for me?' The king gritted his teeth and shouted. "Stop at this instant! You Bastard Hero! Can't you even see what is going around you?"
"What?!" The hero twitched his eyebrows as he glared at the king. "You have summoned me to this world, begging me to save your world. And this is how you treated me?!"
Alex facepalmed, losing hope in the so-called hero.
"Just shut up a little bit!" Mithra leaped toward him, trying to punch this hero in the face.
"You were a little maid not long ago, and you are this arrogant now? I will teach you what it means to have strength!" The hero shouted and drew his sword, slashing it downward to make her step back.
Mithra moved acrobatically, adjusting her hand to not hit by the sword. At the same time, her right foot had struck the hero's left foot.
"Kh!" Pain spread around his ankle as his body shifted to the right because of the pain. The hero gritted his teeth, trying to hit the girl, but before he knew it, her foot was already right in front of his face, sending him flying with a single kick.
The hero flew, rolled on the ground, and stopped fifty meters from them.
"Oi, girl. Why are you using your kick? Are you trying to charm people with your underwear?" Alex shouted.
"But you said I shouldn't be ashamed when people see that? Because an assassin might come when I am bathing… I can't certainly be embarrassed and tell them to go away, right?" Mithra answered innocently.
"That's what I said, but I also taught you Swordsmanship for you to be more elegant! Or at least you should wear pants!"
"But they are too restrictive."
"There is a short pants, you little kid!"
"Uh… I will try it later." Mithra looked down, feeling down. "Maybe when I can finally buy clothes… Sir has trained me until I collapse, so I don't have any time to buy clothes…"
"Anyway, just make sure you don't make the same mistake after this." Alex scratched his head.
"But Sir… I won't have my sword when I take a bath, right? The assassin will kill me, and I can't use my sword, what should I do? They will see me naked…"
"Are you seriously asking that? Since they have seen you and want to kill you… You can torture them to get information before killing them." Alex answered with a serious tone.
"Then, this hero guy has seen my panty, but because he has no plan in killing me, I shall only torture him to get information as to why he wants to pick a fight with you, Sir." Mithra's expression turned dark as she let out a hollow laugh. "First, I need to make him unable to see anymore… Then, I need to cut his legs so he can't escape… And…"
"Wait, what?! Stop!" Alex facepalmed. After training her for the past few weeks, he never saw this side of her. In fact, it never came to his mind. Yandere… A scary curse that made him speechless. If she met Jeanne, the situation might be catastrophic. He still remembered when Jeanne told him that she cut people's dick and shoved them into their own mouth while killing them. If Mithra had the same character as Jeanne, it would be bad for this world. "If you are going to go that way, I will stop teaching you!"
"Ah!" Jea—Ahem, Mithra corrected her posture and expression before bowing her head to Alex. "I am sorry, Sir. I got carried away."
Alex let out a sigh of relief.
"After all, if Mother were more proactive toward Father and kept him from going, she wouldn't lose him, and I would still have a father. And she wouldn't fall sick and so on…" Mithra's expression turned dark again as if that incident broke something in her heart.
"…" Alex was speechless. She had told him about this, but her expression was calm back then. It took him a minute before he realized everything. She had been restraining herself this whole time. And that calm was the calm before the storm, not the calm on a sunny day.
He might be able to control the battlefield with his mind, but his eyes couldn't see through the emotion in that poker face. Even back in the upper world, he couldn't really read their emotions when they put a poker face. If he didn't have the information network from the N squad, he might have overthought many times.
In Mithra's case, he could only shake his head and waved his hand, controlling the Spiritual Energy to pull her back to his side. He patted his head and smiled. "It's fine to let go of your emotion from time to time, but don't go overboard, alright?"
Mithra's expression turned normal as if nothing happened. She looked at Alex and nodded. "I understand."
Alex sighed, wondering if the previous Mithra actually had a yandere like personality. It would be scary to see it to be honest.
"In any case, I have gotten everything I need here," said Alex while glancing at the dragon king.
'I understand. Since this is the case, I will help you until you get both things you want if it means you can save this world.' The dragon king then glared at the king. 'I have seen everything about you… Although I am thankful for the soldiers you place on the frontline, it's still far from enough to handle those devils.
'If you think you are on top of the world, then you better head to the front line two months from now. You will be able to see what kind of existence you have offended.'
The dragon king let out a long sigh. The hero in the past hailed from this kingdom as well, but the king in charge back then was the current king's grandfather. He was wise and gentle, knowing when to embrace powerful people like a friend and when to point his sword.
And this made him even more disappointed than the current one.
The dragon king spared no more words and turned around, flying toward the so-called sea that can't be mixed. He had asked Alex to follow him because he knew the direction and a place where he might need to pass before throwing the flower to the sea.
Alex agreed and asked Ian to follow him.
Meanwhile, those in the city wall had complicated emotions. The two girls looked at the hero and shook their heads, never expecting that the person they looked up to was garbage.
The king could only look down because this one mistake made the relationship between his kingdom and the Dragon Valley turned awkward. He looked at the unconscious hero and wanted to throw him away from this city wall. But he also wondered whether the maid back then concealed her strength this whole time, or Alex just trained her into someone like that in this short time. Either way, he had almost lost everything, so he didn't have any plan to make something big.
On the other hand, Liliana put her hands on her chest, looking at Alex with longing. She had so many feelings mixed inside her heart. To think the person she talked to back then was a person that could threaten the entire kingdom just like this… It was just too insane.
She closed her eyes and decided to get stronger so she could return to Earth. At that time, she wanted to journey all over the world, trying to see whether the Earth had many mysterious secrets that could power up a normal person to one like Alex.
Alex and the others were already far away, but she suddenly saw Alex glancing back, followed by his sound ringing on her head.
'Good Luck and Take Care.'
She couldn't help but smile, remembering this word along with the one he said to her in the throne room. 'Kindness, huh…'
…
After this journey, they flew toward the sea according to the dragon king's direction. There seemed to be a city around the sea whose sole purpose was to observe the sea and unravel its secret.
"Master… This is the first time I have seen something like this." Mithra pointed her finger to the ocean. The left side was a bit greenish-blue, while the other side was a deep blue. They were separated as if there was a thin wall that made them stop merging with each other.
'I have seen it on the internet, but I have never seen one with my own eyes. Still, to think I am finding the other world's version first instead of my own hometown, I don't know if I should laugh or cry.' Alex smiled and closed his eyes. "Don't be too excited with just this. If you have strength, you can go wherever you want to enjoy this kind of scenery. I have been visiting many places that can't be described with a simple word in my journey, so I believe you can do the same. Work hard."
"Yes. I will work hard." Mithra nodded furiously.
"Alright. Let's start by following this line." Alex commanded.
