The spider looked around for Boss Phoenix.
Feng Wu smirked. “Do you have a death wish?”
Feng Xun wanted to applaud her.
She was such a good actress that he almost wanted to ask her for pointers.

Feng Wu said, “I know I’m not your match. You can eat us any time you want.”
The spider’s eyes lit up.
Feng Wu smirked. “Let me remind you: Boss Phoenix put me in your care. If he comes back and can’t find me… Do you need your memory jogged again?”
The memory was too painful.
The spider gave Feng Wu a dirty look and turned to Feng Xun.
Feng Xun felt a chill run down his spine.
Luckily, his sister was as smart as she was pretty. She glared at the spider. “Don’t you dare touch him! If you eat him, I’ll tell Boss Phoenix what you did, and he’ll cut off all your legs!”
Feng Xun was almost in tears. He was so glad that he had such a sister.
The spider grew impatient.
“Humans are so annoying! I can’t eat anything!”
Feng Wu had two pets, so she had some idea of how to get through to the spider.
“You don’t seem to have many friends. Everybody avoids this area, and hardly anyone comes in. Have you eaten so many people that no one dares come here?”
The spider glared at Feng Wu. Did she have to bring that up?
“So what if I eat a lot? I hunt my own food. No one can tell me what to do!”
Seeing the spider’s reaction, Feng Wu smiled. “Since we all follow Boss Phoenix’s instructions, why don’t we team up? We can help each other.”
Feng Wu knew that if she wanted to persuade the spider, she needed to come up with a solution.
Now would be a good time.
Before the spider could ask, Feng Wu said, “You’re hungry, but I don’t want you to eat my friend. That’s our main disagreement. In that case, we should find another solution.”
She pointed in the other direction. “There are 50 people in all shapes and sizes out there. I’ll lure them in, and you can have a feast. What do you think?”
What a great idea! The spider almost said yes.
However, it didn’t want to seem so eager.
The spider said arrogantly, “Are they your enemies? Do you want me to kill them for you?”
Feng Wu was speechless.
The spider was smarter than she expected.
Feng Xun was anxious. The spider had discovered Xiao Wu’s plan. Would it eat her?
Feng Wu only smiled. “Why do you care? Will it affect your appetite?”
It wouldn’t, but the spider didn’t want to help a human girl for no reason.
