Chapter 972 - Father-Son
Chapter 972 – Father-Son
It was weird.
At first, Jason thought that he would be nervous to speak to his father.
But oddly enough, he was eerily calm as he waited for the preparations to be completed.
It took less than half an hour to finish everything, and the call via a hidden channel could be initiated.
Somehow, everything felt surreal.
Just a short while ago, he had been on Manyr traveling through the wilderness, and now he was next to the Sacred Elvyr’s Queen on their origin planet and was about to speak with his father.
There were so many things he wanted to speak about, to find out more about his father’s life with his mother, what had happened to his grandparents, and so on.
Yet, the moment the Queen started to dial using a large hologram that had manifested in front of her, Jason’s mind blanked out.
He had yet to see his father, but his earlier calm had dispersed and had been replaced by traces of nervosity.
Only he, Jennifer, and the Queen were left in the large room which they had entered to establish a connection with the Celestia race, and Celestia Yaldra’s abode to be precise.
Fumbling a little, Jason forced his hands behind his back where he clasped them together, trying to make himself not run away from the room.
Thus, it looked like he was staring at the empty hologram with a rather calm demeanor.
But upon taking a closer look, it was clear that he was nervous and unsure of what to do.
However, this sensation became even worse as an overly familiar image manifested in the hologram.
It was someone Jason had imprinted into his mind, even though they hadn’t been able to talk for more than a single minute…it was his father; Celestia Yaldra.
From the looks of it, his appearance hadn’t changed in the slightest.
He still looked unparalleled and mighty as if nothing or no one would dare step in his way.
His silky long silver hair fluttered lightly, while his silver eyes stared through the hologram, causing Jason to stiffen.
There was one huge silverish-white stigma around his eyes, leading down the same direction as Jason’s stigma.
Yet, instead of stopping at his jaw, the Stigma traveled down his neck, connecting to the back that glowed faintly.
Closely attached to his back, one could see several silverish-white God’s Halos of different sizes, with a large number of infinitesimal runes inscribed on them.
Contrary to the brief encounter with his father when he had only gotten a fleeting look, Jason was able to perceive them clearly, which allowed him to understand that their function was similar to that of veins.
The only difference was their function and the potency of the infinitesimal runes.
In the end, everything he perceived allowed Jason to understand that he was different from an ordinary Celestia.
After all, his eye color, the color of his Stigma, his Celestia aura, and even the God’s Halo were of a different color than that of his own father.
This allowed Jason for the realization to sink in that he was truly a halfling, and that he was unlikely to be accepted anywhere.
Not even Argos had accepted him wholeheartedly after they had found out about his true identity!
He let out a deep sigh at the realization, the sound of which was carried through the hologram that was still materializing on the other side.
Celestia Yaldra hadn’t expected to receive a call through the secret channel he had built for the Queen of the Sacred Elvyr race.
It was just for emergencies, and he hadn’t heard anything about the Sacred Elvyrs that pointed out an unexpected emergency.
Yet, the moment the connection between the Queen’s Abode, and a place far, far away in the deepest parts on Shima, the universe planet, Celestia Yaldra’s eyes widened slightly.
It had almost been a decade since he had seen a glimpse of Jason, but Celestia Yaldra instinctively knew who was staring at him from the other side of the hologram.
“You…you’re Jason, right?! Alive! You are alive, that’s great!!”
After seeing his father’s relieved expression and his voice, Jason found himself incapable of saying anything.
It was as if something had stuck in his throat.
He could only look through the hologram with a stiff smile on his face, his eyes imprinting his father’s image in his mind once again.
A few seconds of silence passed, but Jason still couldn’t get any words out.
Celestia Yaldra noticed this, but he was not sure what to say. Thus, he just blurted out anything.
“How….have you been?”
Both felt weird to talk to each other all of a sudden because neither had really expected to receive a chance to converse in the next few decades, or possibly centuries.
Jason was not sure how to summarize everything he had faced so far and been through.
Thus, he pointed out the most obvious fact.
“I’m still alive… so, I guess I’m fine?”
This caused Yaldra to knit his brows because he noticed that Jason was hiding a lot from him.
Just at this moment, he recalled that it required lots of energy and resources to maintain and keep up the channel that allowed the secret call between his home and the origin planet of the Sacred Elvyrs.
As such, he clearly understood that right now was not the time to be sentimental or to speak about their feelings.
Jason must have had a reason to call him, but he felt incapable of saying something. As such, as a father, and the person, who was the most responsible for everything that had happened to Jason, Mina, and her parents, he felt obliged to help.
If he didn’t help now, how would he ever be able to call himself a father!
“It is great that you are fine….just don’t turn into an Infernal Celestia.
And please ensure that none of the Primordials find you…even the Celestias shouldn’t get you in their grasps…I’m not sure if they will kill you for tarnishing their blood, or if they want to experiment with you and figure out how you were even born, to begin with…
You might have some blood of the Primordial Primal Humans as you are your mother’s child, but, to be honest, I’m not sure about that as your soul awakening is just too…unique.”
After thinking about what to say further, he once again recalled something and hastily added,
“I guess you want to find more about your maternal grandparents…I don’t know where they are, but I can tell you where the Chaos Emperor is…”
Jason didn’t expect his father to simply bombard him with all of the information in one go. Nonetheless, he listened to him intently, glad that he didn’t have to ask every little detail.
There were quite a few more things he wanted to know, such as the story of his parents, how they had met, and under what circumstances had they separated.
However, Jason also understood that now was not the time for it…unfortunately.
But rather than focusing on this, he realized something else!
‘He knows the Chaos Emperor’s hideout! There is no need to go to Tagran then, right?’
Jason had already been annoyed because he presumed that he would have to search for the Chaos Dragon to find out about the location of the Chaos Emperor.
Yet, when Celestia Yaldra continued to speak, Jason frowned once again.
“He is in Tagran, hibernating in the Mountains of the Great Carnage…to be precise the Great Mountain of the Abyss. Some call it [Eye of the Chaos] and it’s quite easy to find, so I think you will know when you are closer to it.”
The more his father talked, the more confused and frustrated Jason became.
Unfortunately, the worst was just about to come!
“The Chaos Emperor is attempting to attain Godhood by entering the Tritaer stage which would allow him to become the first Beast God of Chaos.
It will still take some time for him to become a Beast God, and he might even die in his attempt, but to be honest, you shouldn’t enter the Eye of the Chaos… not until you reach the….Driekta stage, and become a Demi-God!”
Being oblivious to what was so special of being a Beast God, Jason was saved from puking blood in horror.
Yet, when he heard that his own cultivation base had to reach the Driekta stage at the bare minimum, stars swam in front of his eyes, making him feel momentarily dizzy.
‘So…I need to advance through the Ascendion, Specta, and Mecynar stage, all the way to the Driekta stage, and become a Demi-God before I can enter the Eye of the Chaos to start searching for the Chaos Emperor??? And even then it might be dangerous… Fuck it!’
Jason felt that the entire situation was unreasonable, and he wanted to vent out his frustration.
However, he also understood that he and his father didn’t have much time left to talk to each other.
The Queen was already looking nervously at the generator that provided the necessary energy to maintain the connection and allow both parties to converse uninterruptedly through the hologram.
Thus, he ignored his confusion about the comments his father made about his mother in which he had mentioned something about Primal human’s blood.
Instead, he had one last request for his father, and wanted to ask the only thing he had to know for now in order to become as strong as possible, in the shortest period of time at that!
“Eh…can you name all the items which the Celestia requires to undergo their True Soul awakening, including their quality and quantity? If possible, I require the list for the Primal humans’ true soul awakening too…please…Dad!”
