Chapter 974 - Privileged?
Chapter 974 – Privileged?
Ever since his small but meaningful conversation with his father, Jason felt overly motivated to become as strong as possible in the shortest amount of time.
However, he couldn’t just rush through Lyina, cleanse the entire planet within a few days, and leave to cultivate for a few months to become a god-like existence.
This was simply not feasible.
As such, he required a proper plan to become stronger, enter the Driekta stage, that would allow him to go and find the Chaos Emperor in his territory, the Eye of the Chaos.
All of this would require quite some time, which was something that Jason felt like he didn’t really have.
Spending a century cleansing the planet for the Sacred Elvyrs was already too long and a cumbersome task in his opinion.
However, as long as he could cultivate even semi-passively, it should be perfectly fine.
That was why he wanted to come up with a good plan to complete the Restoration project, while efficiently using the time at hand.
The Queen noticed what Jason had in mind, and she didn’t really mind listening to his plan as long as it was feasible.
If he would take longer to complete the task just because of his plan, she would reject his idea, but for that Lilya had to listen first.
“Go on, tell me what you have in mind!”
Jason didn’t expect Queen Lilya to be so proactive, and accept whatever he requested or enquired.
But from the way she had acted earlier, he understood that she was rather open-minded and not very rigid, which was certainly great.
Her considerate behavior made it easy for him to demand quite a few treasures that would help his soulbonds to become stronger!
“I know it won’t be possible for all the ingredients I require to undergo my True Soul awakening to be procured anytime soon.
However, if possible, Jennifer should undergo her True Soul awakening as quickly as possible.
I know that this has nothing to do with my plan to cleanse Lynia at a faster pace, but I will come to that right now.
If you guys procure either a Life essence flame or a Flame of Destruction for me, I will be able to accelerate the speed at which I can purify nearly everything in my surroundings!”
Saying so, Jason gave them a little demonstration of what he wanted to happen as quickly as possible, before releasing Solaris’ flame in his hand, indicating that he required one of the flames he had named in order to do something.
He didn’t specifically state the reason for which he required the flames, but it was not difficult to perceive that there was something about Solaris.
The Queen noticed this quite easily as the flame’s purity itself was already higher than her lesser divine energy.
This caused not only her, but also the others to look at the black origin flame in astonishment.
Only when Queen Lilya regained her senses did she nod her head while saying.
“You will be able to enhance your flame’s strength with divine energy, right? Spreading it through the atmosphere…should create a massive effect!”
She hit the bullseye with her assumption as it was almost exactly what Jason had had in mind.
“Solaris will become stronger as long as you provide it with strong flames, preferably in crystallized form, which it will devour!”
Jason didn’t share the fact that Solaris would evolve after devouring either of the flames he named before.
Instead, he allowed the Queen’s thoughts to run wildly and let her make assumptions.
Through this, Jason hoped that she would provide him with stronger flames, possibly even multiple ones at once.
This was but a greedy idea of his, and not necessarily something he wanted as only one flame was required.
“After enhancing the purification potency of Solaris, I would prefer to cleanse the area around the world bridge that leads to Lyina, before spending a…decade, preferably more to strengthen my foundation in its entirety!”
At first, Jason’s words caused an uproar in the small group of powerhouses, just as it was the case before.
However, now nobody dared to say anything as all of their heads turned to look at their Queen in unison.
Her expression was hard to decipher, but one could clearly perceive that she didn’t understand his reason.
“Why?”
She asked just one doubt, but it was more than enough to sense that Lilya was not sure what he wanted from her.
After all, even while cleansing Lyina, it should be possible for him to continue cultivating!
It might be done passively, but it shouldn’t make much of a difference whether he was actively focusing on cultivating right now, or would do that later.
This was related to his efficiency in cleansing the planet, and not to Jason as an individual.
Thus, the Queen’s question was certainly justified.
Jason had already expected this question, so he was unfazed as he smiled lightly before answering her.
“I want to practice in the Kanadi of a Primordial technique for a decade, and if possible for a longer period. With this technique, you could say that I can enhance my entire being, including my cultivation veins, and the degree to which I can use divine energy.
I should even be able to replenish my divine energy at a faster pace as long as the surrounding area has an abundance of mana, primordial energy, and spirit force!”
The moment the Queen heard ‘Kanadi of a Primordial’ she froze in place. Everything Jason demanded made sense all of a sudden.
However, that was not something she could be bothered about right now as a realization caused her to sweat profusely.
“Are you sure that the technique you want to practice is called ‘Kanadi of a Primordial? …
Only privileged Primordials or those who belong to them are allowed to use this technique…Not even your father should have been able to hand this over to you as were not accepted by the race as someone privileged.
I cannot explain it well because I do not understand the complexity behind the technique, but I have heard that only beings that were approved by the technique itself can use it!
And, I apologize for my choice of words, but you are way too young and weak to be considered a privileged Primordial!”
Jason wasn’t affected by the fact that the Queen called him weak.
After all, it was just the truth.
Currently, he was just too weak to have any significant identity or presence.
But even then, Jason didn’t want to reveal the truth behind why he owned the Kanadi of a Primordial technique.
It was simply not necessary to do so, and just knowing that he owned the technique should suffice for now.
The most important fact was that only he and Jennifer were able to open the manual of the technique, to begin with.
Initially, it was only him, who could open it on his own, but when Jennifer received Jason’s stigma this had changed.
As such, only Jason must have deserved to use the technique before, while Jennifer gained the access rights the moment she became his.
At least that was what Jason presumed to have happened.
In the end, the reasoning didn’t matter and the only important factor was that copying the technique was not possible anymore.
For that, they needed the Creator of the technique to be alive which was not the case.
He even took the secret of the creation process for the Kanadi of a Primordial technique with him to death!
Thus the number of techniques available was severely restricted, much more than anyone could imagine, which was the reason for Queen Lilya to look at Jason with a newfound interest and a trace of confusion.
‘Is he really the weak halfling we were supposed to save…would he have deflected and fend off the attack of the Mecynar stage powerhouses without Kiat’s help? I wonder…’
