Chapter 976 - Purification
Chapter 976 – Purification
With the use of Solaris’ purification ability and his divine energy, Jason was able to cleanse the surrounding area of the dark and impure energies at a rapid pace.
In fact, given the circumstances, he had expected the cleansing procedure to be quite arduous and cumbersome.
But that was not the case, at all.
Solaris’ flames were able to burn through the dark and impure energies in no time.
By experimenting a little bit, it was possible for Jason to focus on finding the most efficient way to get rid of the harmful energies.
With Solaris’ help as an intelligent lifeform, he learned about its perception of the black miasma that was filled with impure energies.
Their combined intel and perception allowed the two of them to come up with a proper plan to utilize and waste the least energy while receiving the best result.
Cleansing the energies released the three dense cultivation energies from their restrictions, allowing Jason to replenish his energy even before he used it up.
It was a weird sensation, but neither Solaris nor he had to use much of their own energy before initiating the cleansing procedure.
This clearly showed that both Solaris and Jason had done a good job with figuring out the best way to complete the mammoth task.
Their experiments were working well.
They had even found out that divine energy was not required to cleanse the surroundings.
In fact, Solaris alone would already be enough to achieve everything the Queen demanded from him, which was to cleanse Lyina from the dark and impure energies!
However, if he were to supplement Solaris by using moonlight mana, divine energy, the Celestia aura, and the activated Stigma, everything could be completed much quicker!
Jason’s experiments were observed by multiple pairs of eyes that watched over every single move of his.
“We have also tested Origin flames, right? Even the higher-ranked ones were unable to cleanse the impure energies…” One of the powerhouses uttered in astonishment, visibly confused while gazing at the burning black flames that swept through the miasma, and cleansed it.
The Queen, who had come to take a look at everything, could only nod her head before wondering,
“Is it because he intertwines the flames’ strength with his divine energy, or maybe the activated Stigmas enhance the purification effect?”
In the end, they were just coming up with possible theories of how Jason didn’t appear to even break a sweat while fulfilling a task, all of them had failed at.
All of them had their respective opinions, but in the end, none was completely correct.
Even Jason had no idea what exactly Solaris was.
He had understood it long ago that his soulbond was no ordinary origin flame.
But that would make its existence, and the question of why Solaris had been found on Argos, even more mysterious.
Jason had found it in a Goblin settlement, after all.
Because Solaris’ identity was rather confusing, Jason didn’t think that it would be good to question it too much.
It was still possible for him to find the answers he was searching for later in the future!
After spending a few days cleansing the surrounding area from the dark and impure energies, Jason and the others were able to sense the shockingly high quality and quantity of the three cultivation energies for the very first time.
The mana in the surroundings was, at least, thrice as dense, and pure as it was the case on Myriad.
And for Jason and Jennifer, Myriad was a planet that could be considered a cultivation heaven!
‘Maybe, if we focus on practicing the Kanadi of a Primordial technique for an entire decade before averting our focus on cleansing and passively cultivating, we…might be able to reach the Specta stage!’
Both were quite satisfied with their individual progress, but there were still lots of other things they had to keep in mind.
One of these was their True Soul awakening.
However, what Jason wanted to focus on was not his True Soul awakening.
After all, the Queen would ensure to procure everything necessary for him.
This allowed him to shift his focus on something else apart from cultivating!
Ever since Jason had started customizing his soul world, binding objects, plants, and all kinds of things to it, his soulbonds had been much happier.
This had strengthened their soul connection, which turned out to be far more useful given his current situation.
Because of that, Jason felt the need to continue customizing his soul world and possibly turning it into a place that could not be distinguished from other planets.
The size of his Soul world was more than enough to make this happen.
With enough beasts inhabiting his soul world, it should even be possible to build his very own full-fledged ecosystem.
And that was also something Jason wanted to do.
He aimed to turn his soul world into a place where numerous beasts could rest, a safe haven for those that had been abandoned.
Ever since the day he had encountered the Earth Dragons, he had always thought about what he could have done to free them of their misery.
But during that time, he had been powerless and weak to even think of going against those who put them through a tough time.
Since then a lot had changed, and right now, it was possible for him to bind all kinds of beasts, without the restrictions of owning too little Soul energy.
Only the amplifications might tear him apart.
But by using the race specific weakening curse on himself, this issue was also solved.
As such, the only problem was that he had to bind everything to his soul before it could enter his soul world!
‘If I simply provide a safe haven in my Soul world, I don’t necessarily have to create a soul connection with the desire to turn them into my family….right? Shouldn’t it be possible to create a soul connection that is solely based on a business deal with no emotions attached…a win-win situation?’
This was one of the thoughts he had been mulling over for quite some time.
His current soulbonds were extremely close to him, but even then, there was a huge difference between the closeness Jason sensed with Artemis, whom he loved dearly, and Sira, the sleeping Sacred Squirrel.
It made him think that if some beasts just wanted to be safe while residing in his soul world, he should be able to bind them without any issues.
‘In that case, Artemis and the others wouldn’t feel threatened by a newcomer wanting to snatch their position and importance either, right?’
Jason was the most worried about the disapproval of Artemis and the others and if they would simply turn their backs on a new soulbond.
After all, they were the most important to him.
Yet, in the end, Jason still needed to start researching the existence of many beasts, who he wanted to bind to his soul.
He required their special traits, and, if possible, their elemental affinities too!
For example, what he required was to be able to see in the night, to breathe underwater, to have an overall elemental resistance, a regeneration ability, and to be able to conceal himself in a perfect manner.
Other than that, affinities such as lightning, light, poison and so on would allow him to fight in a much more versatile manner.
His combat prowess and survival abilities had to improve by leaps and bounds, as quickly as possible for the future tasks he had to solve!
Even Artemis and his other soulbonds knew this as they had perceived the threat of the powerhouses at the Mecynar stage.
They knew that Jason would have died without the help of the Sacred Elvyr called Kiat.
As such, they supported Jason’s plan if only grudgingly.
But on the other hand, they simultaneously asked him to hold himself back from forming close ties with other soulbonds, and interact with them only if necessary!
This made him believe that they were far more jealous than Jennifer could ever be.
It made him smile lightly as he turned his head to Jennifer, who looked at him in confusion, not knowing what he was thinking about.
Just at this moment, he heard an astonished voice ringing out in front of him, causing him to turn his head back to the front.
“J-Jason?! Is that you??”
