Chapter 50.2
Chapter 50.2
Kalion grabbed her hand. She held him at bay as she arched up and undid the lower button.
Kalion was staring down at her so intently that she couldn’t concentrate on what her fingers were doing. She kept on fumbling over and over again.
Kalion said slowly, amused by her behavior, “You…”
“What? Why?” Erna shot back in a low, husky tone.
“I’ve been dreaming about this for so long already… I think I have a knack for driving people crazy.”
Words could only promise so much, what really counted were actions. Erna could see in Kalion’s eyes that he had something planned. And it was obvious that he thought he had a real talent when it came to making women swoon.
“What are you talking about… Oh my!” Erna yelled in surprise as he suddenly jerked her body. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw her robe float through the air to land somewhere on the bed. Hurriedly, she reached up and grabbed his muscular arm. “Wait! I haven’t washed up yet!”
Kalion stared down at her.
“What?” Erna asked.
“So what if you haven’t?” Kalion grabbed Erna’s hands and pinned them over her head.
Kalion had wanted to do this since he and Erna had entered the room. No, that was a lie. He had wanted to do this since the Marquis had spoken to Erna. It had made him wish he had done this more often, and he was starting to regret that he hadn’t.
I should’ve done this sooner. If I had done this before they spoke, she wouldn’t have heard such things from him. In fact, he wouldn’t have said anything at all.
Kalion buried his face in her neck breathing in the smell of her. He hated the fact that she said she wanted to wash up first. There was nothing wrong with the way she smelt. She had chosen to wear a sweet, flowery perfume for the banquet that evening. And mixed with her natural scent, it was like a drug to him.
“I’m dirty!” Erna protested.
“It’s okay.”
“No, it’s not!”
I don’t care. I’m happy right now. Kalion pretended not to hear her and pressed his nose into her neck again. He flicked his tongue out, dragging it over the skin of her pale neck. Erna stopped struggling, showing that she had now given into Kalion’s wishes.
Kalion accepted her surrender with a smile. He hugged Erna around the waist, marvelling at how flat her stomach was, even after the banquet. It looked like she’d had nothing to eat the entire night. Come to think of it, he hadn’t really seen Erna eat anything. He only saw her eating some soup and grilled vegetables.
“You hardly ate at the banquet. Did you lose your appetite because of the Marquis?” Kalion asked.
“No, it’s just…” Erna mumbled softly. “I don’t want to gain weight again.”
Kalion clicked his tongue at her answer. He always wondered why she was so thin. He thought it was because she didn’t eat properly.
“That’s why your stamina is so low,” he said.
“What’s wrong with my stamina?”
“What do you think I’m referring to? Or have you forgotten that you fainted before we could even do it three times?”
“That’s because you did it like crazy!” Erna said hotly.
His words irritated her. Yes, she did tend to eat less, but that didn’t mean she didn’t eat. The only reason she had fainted that day was because Kalion had wanted to have s*x nonstop! No normal person would have been able to withstand that. She couldn’t believe he was treating her like a weakling by bringing that up now.
Before she could say anything, Kalion laid his hand on her stomach and spoke again, “Erna, let’s have a baby.” The previous expression in his voice had disappeared to be replaced by affection.
Erna stared up at him blankly, almost surprised by the way he sounded.
The hand Kalion was stroking her stomach with came up and cupped her cheek. “Our child.”
Erna’s heart suddenly ached at his words.
They always called it a ‘successor’. A child born between a Haband royal and an Aether royal. The child was to become the future of the Kingdom of Hessenguard. They needed to have the baby for political safety. It was nothing more than a duty that had to be fulfilled.
Kalion’s words made her realize it was so much more. She had to embrace what was more than just an idea. It was something complex; it was a life she and Kalion were going to create.
Suddenly, Erna was curious about what their first child would look like. What color would their hair be? What color eyes would they have? Would they be a boy or a girl? These thoughts surprised her so much she was speechless. She had never thought about things like this before.
Then Kalion spoke again, “And… I don’t want my child to be weak.” His tone was still light and affectionate, but it carried a heavy undertone.
“Never. Our child won’t be weak. I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen.”
Erna remembered what Kalion had been like a few years ago. He’d been so weak that he’d stumbled trying to pull a bedsheet onto his bed.
Kalion was silent for a long while before he started moving again. His face relaxed, and he eased himself down to rest between her legs. He held her back firmly with both hands to keep her steady.
Erna’s expression hardened. She remembered the time he’d taken her so wildly… She knew that when he held her like this…
He blew out a heavy breath as he thrust forward.
Erna screamed as Kalion buried his hard erection deep inside her without hesitation.
