his eyes, accepting his fate.
“For the greater good,” Karyk whispered, more to himself than to anyone else.
Just as he was about to strike, a powerful force surged through the air.
The Leader of the Angelic Group gathered all his strength and attacked Karyk and the altar. The King also reached fast, but before he could stop the attack, the other Angels appeared before him, willing to die just to stop him.
