I Hate Systems

Chapter 370: Dellnum Realm

Chapter 370: Dellnum Realm

Dellnum Realm; appearing on the outskirts of an ancient forest was Straxia, gazing at a withering ruin before her.

It was only as large as a few blocks of houses combined, sporting withering walls that were covered by moss and creepers.

Straxia slowly walked towards the ruins, using her knuckle to tap on the wall, hearing the resulting sounds as she eventually came across a hollow section.

She then probed through the hollow spot, soon finding a hook hidden behind some vines that she used to pull open the hollow covering, noticing two spatial bags within.

She shuddered, gazing up as she felt a mystical feeling before noticing that she had become weaker, muttering in response, “I see, so the Restriction Order has been fully activated.”

To ensure none of the Luck-based Systems backed out, all of them entered the cultivation world at the last possible moment. This way, they wouldn’t be able to return to the System World easily after.

Considering the fact that every Luck based System was considerably high level, the hundred thousand Mental Energy required to return to the System World wasn’t much to them. It was something they could accumulate in a decade.

So, had they entered earlier, there was a good chance the Luck Based Systems could escape from the cultivation world. They could then patiently preserve their reserves while the rest of the Luck based Systems either get killed or suffer disastrous losses while fighting Compass Carburettor.

They could use this chance to get ahead in the competition. And in the chance they were wiped out, it would take time for them to revive from the minds of people that were aware of them.

This was a slow process that could take decades to centuries depending on the extent of damage the respective System had taken. It was not to mention that they might even suffer a loss in levels and would have zero Mental Energy at the time of reviving.

And, if a Luck-based System wisely stayed in the System World during this time, it would very well become the strongest in the Luck Genre. It was only a matter of time to reach Grade 2 if it worked on increasing the lead and eventually targeting the rest of the Luck based Systems.

The possibility of this was very high. And hence, all the 21 Systems that were part of the Luck Genre had entered the cultivation world at the same time. Moreover, they had done so a couple of seconds before the Restriction Order could fully take effect.

There were usually at least a hundred Systems per Genre. But, the four Genres of Luck, Monetary, Recovery, and Transportation were different. The number of Systems part of this were very few. And hence, the competition to seize their power from Systems of other Genres was insane.

Once Straxia confirmed that the Restriction Order had fully taken effect, she smiled, inserting her hand into one of the spatial bags to take out a six-faced die. It was as big as her head and sported a smooth surface, made from wood.

Three sides of it were written with the word ‘Yes’ while the remainder were written with the word ‘No’.

She rolled the dice on the ground, using enough force to make it roll ten metres from her, muttering, “Will Compass Carburettor become my ally?”

She slowly walked forward, frowning as she noticed one of the corners of the dice facing upwards. She grabbed hold of the dice and rolled it once again, repeating the same question.

She frowned, noticing the dice once again facing one of its corners upwards. She then changed the question, noticing the answer was still the same.

Normally, the dice should fall flat on the ground. Because of that, one of its faces would face upwards. But now, it coincidentally stopped at bumpy places on the ground, which resulted in its corner facing upward.

After attempting a dozen questions, Straxia rolled it once again, “Compass Carburettor is a man.”

Still a corner!

She sighed, storing the dice in her spatial bag, muttering, “It seems to be the truth that the Main Character System is inherently immune against divinations, including divinations using luck.”

“Well, that makes things interesting.” Smiling in response, she strapped the two spatial bags on her hips before covering them with her clothes, slowly entering the ruins as she observed the altar.

Hatchling Systems had landed at their respective areas first to set up the necessities that they would be requiring. This way, they didn’t have to waste time searching for resources and could solely focus on cultivating.

Thanks to that, they would become strong soon after and could begin to chase after Compass Carburettor.

Straxia saw that one hundred Essence Stones had already been embedded in the altar as she placed her hand on it, watching it lit up before struggling to pull in her consciousness.

Slowly, her consciousness was pulled into it as she found herself within the Martial Spirit Realm.

Martial Spirits of various Tiers all resembled shooting stars that flew around at tremendous speeds, alarming her.

There was a sharp contrast between what Compass Carburettor experienced and what she was currently experiencing.

Bam!

Suddenly, a shooting star slammed into her, almost destroying her body as Straxia grunted, enveloping her hands around the shooting star with all her might, tightening her hold as she watched her body beginning to crack immediately.

She gazed at the shooting star that had arrived at a stop, noticing that it was a lemur that was flickering with lightning, smirking, “As expected of Coincidental Luck. The Martial Spirit that’s perfect for me coincidentally crashed into me.”

As she successfully managed to capture it, the Lightning Lemur became her Martial Spirit.

Returning to reality, Straxia opened her eyes, feeling something different about her as she noticed the figure of the Lightning Lemur hover above her hand before disappearing. Immediately after, the altar shattered.

She grinned, looking around to see a house within the ruins. Externally, it seemed to have collapsed long ago. But, that was a front as she opened the door, entering it to see a fully furnished home within, with all her necessities stocked there.

“An open place to train, a disguise of ruins that none would wish to enter, a home with fully functional facilities, and a stockpile of food for a year.” Straxia smiled, “I’ll stay here until I reach the peak of the Origin Refinement Stage.”

“And, once a secret Realm opens nearby, I’ll enter it to scour for the perfect material to fuse with at the Martial Origin Stage.”
