Chapter 462: What is Real? What is Fake?
Chapter 462: What is Real? What is Fake?
Boom!
Hundreds of fluffy golems rampaged on the mountain peak, attacking the four Heaven Grade Golems that Compass Carburettor had brought out.
Among the four golems, only the Bronze and Platinum Golems were able to unleash ranged attacks. The remaining two could only pummel their opponents manually. And shockingly, the fluffy golems were able to go toe to toe with them.
Boom!
The Platinum Golem unleashed powerful shockwaves that shattered two fluffy golems when three more leapt onto it, intending to tie it down.
Right as a fluffy golem was about to topple it down, a flash of black formed on its fifty-metre-tall body, slashing it into two, causing it to dissipate.
Grisha panted a little, having been using her abilities nonstop to destroy the fluffy golems. She had been trying her best to locate Chenger but failed all the time. The figures of Chenger that appeared from time to time were all fake changers made of the clouds.
It wasn’t just the fluffy golems that were attacking them, but also the mist itself, acting like water currents as they moved with the intent to send them flying in various directions.
Compass Carburettor brought out a Dolba with a fire attribute, rapidly raising the temperature of the place, destroying the mist in his surroundings.
At the same time, the Bronze Golem unleashed a putrid mist that began to eat into Chenger’s mist, reducing her powers. Slowly, the fluffy golems began to melt one after another due to the murky mist that seemed capable of corroding anything and everything in its path.
“Hiyah!” Chenger’s shout resounded through the place as hundreds of vapour blades slammed into the Bronze Golem, sending it flying beyond the edge of the mountain peak, also causing a lot of gashes to form on its body.
Some of the damage was ingrained into its chest, almost injuring the Heaven Martial Spirit—Putrid Crocodile—resting within.
The Bronze Golem had the traits of a crocodile, so its defences were stronger than the rest. But the fact that it was damaged despite that was a testament to Chenger’s strength.
Honestly, once she reached the Martial Origin Stage, she already obtained enough strength to go against a Martial Providence Stage powerhouse.
Her fusion material gave her a special property. And that was sentience. Sentience to her Origin Essence.
She had the Heaven Martial Spirit of Vapour Fan.
And now, when she unleashed a cloud, the cloud itself had its own sentience. Meaning, it was able to think for itself and act accordingly. Thanks to that, Chenger was able to make them attack her opponents, also making some of them turn into her to confuse her opponents.
Clouds contained water, capable of reflecting and refracting light. And if done in a certain way, they created illusions. Chenger had long since created illusions to take advantage of her Vapour Fan. But, the only illusions she was capable of creating before were environmental variety, for they were static.
But now that she could imbue sentience in them, her illusions turned dynamic.
But, just this alone wouldn’t have made her this powerful. This was where her attribute of Sentience truly came into play.
As it was sentient, Chenger slowly spread her mist, causing it to merge with the ambient Origin Essence. And now, this sentient mist drew upon the Origin Essence to constantly target Compass Carburettor without needing to expend her own Origin Essence.
Basically, through this method, she obtained an inexhaustible reserve of Origin Essence. After all, her mist was capable of absorbing the Origin Essence to generate more mist.
So no matter what, in regions like the Folkan Secret Realm, she was pretty much invincible.
That wasn’t all, if she truly expended her own Origin Essence, since the mist was hers in the first place, she could rapidly absorb it and recover her Origin Essence in a matter of seconds. It truly turned her into a strategic class opponent that was capable of taking down an army on her own.
This was why Compass Carburettor was having trouble dealing with her even though Grisha was supporting him.
She teleported above the falling Bronze Golem, teleporting it back to the mountain peak, panting in response as her Origin Essence reserves were at the rock bottom.
The mist from the surroundings converged upon her, creating hundreds of fists, intending to destroy her.
Suddenly, a jet-black entity appeared above her, waxing its hands before vanishing.
Apocalypse World Ability—Dust Wave!
Swoosh!
The mist throughout a three-kilometre radius was instantly eradicated, causing the place to turn sunny immediately. The target of the Dust Wave was only the mist, so immediately after, all the fake Chengers were destroyed, revealing the original that was atop a nearby mountain peak, situated a kilometre away.
Right before the jet-black figure vanished, it unfurled its wings, shooting out thousands of feathers, homing them all towards Chenger.
In response to the attack, Chenger summoned a fan in her hands that seemed to be made out of clouds, waving it as she created a lot of mist, sending it coursing like a wave towards the homing feathers, rapidly slowing them down.
Some of them were unable to resist the force of the mist wave, exploding one after another as the burst element destroyed the mist in such locations, allowing the homing feathers to use the opened path to approach closer to her.
“Protect me!” Chenger shouted, creating a fluffy golem that jumped into the homing feathers, causing most of them to detonate prematurely. Even though the fluffy golem was obliterated, she was able to mitigate most of the threat.
But eerily, Grisha appeared before her, bringing down a large jet-black sword, intending to cleave her apart.
“I won’t fall for the same trick twice!” Chenger shouted as the cloud platform she was seated upon suddenly grew spikes, piercing into Grisha, riddling her with holes.
“Gah!” Grisha grunted, eyes widened in shock, in disbelief, for one of the cloud spikes had pierced through her heart.
“Hah!” Chenger smirked, intending to rip her body apart when she was shocked, for there was no blood coming out of supposed wounds, “You tricked m…!”
“Die!” Grisha bellowed, phasing through the cloud spikes as she plunged her knife into Chenger’s throat. And this time, it was the real one.

I asked a question in chapter 438. The value of CC’s MC Traits in various worlds, considering his trait in Darble World as 100. Here’s part result:
Darble World Traits: Leader of a secret organisation (Secret Society) that big brain MCs usually create/lead. Creating his own Myth (Spirit). Ability to revive (Warble). Obtaining the loyalty of two races, with one of them being the strongest race in the world (Grogar and Haggon).
Result: 100 MC Points
Now, you have better clarity. Guess the values for the Apocalypse World before and after he became the Main Character.
