Chapter 474: I Alone Am Enough
Chapter 474: I Alone Am Enough
[System: 1]
Compass Carburettor frowned upon sensing the target, looking around at the powerhouses hailing from all Clans seated before him. They were all invited by the Blazing Sun Clan for a round of discussion regarding the Academy he had proposed to set up.
He thought, ‘So, one of them arrived at the Gaider Realm already.’
Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t able to sense the position of the opponent. After all, Info Scanner’s range was only ten kilometres to obtain any detail. This was its limit when it was at Level 10. And since he was only summoning that ability from his memory, the limit was the same.
…
“I just wanted you to call my name! Why is that a problem?” Gallo said, shedding tears.
“Can you shut up for a second?” The Elder that had turned into a tiger before snapped in anger. Currently, he was in human form, having expended all Origin Essence.
He wasn’t alone, for every single expert that tried to attack Gallo ended up in the same situation. And now, all of them found themselves wound up into a ball of yarn thanks to the whip Martial Spirit of one of the experts.
As for the expert that had summoned the whip and had lengthened it to such an extent for some reason, he was currently unconscious. So, until he regained consciousness, the fate of them all was to remain bounded.
It felt surreal that such a thing could happen in the first place. After all, they were all bound to it, unable to free their hands. So, they couldn’t loosen themselves even if they wished.
“Say my name please!” Gallo began to beg, “This is the best time to fulfil my wish.”
“Will you die if your wish is fulfilled?” The Elder snapped back in anger.
“Happily!” Gallo smiled like he had heard the happiest statement of his life.
“Retard.” The Elder snorted, turning silent. He then glared at one of the experts, “Where’re the disciples or the servants? How come none of them arrived even after such a big commotion happened?”
“Elder, they are all working in the fields. It’s an important occasion, so we’ve dispatched everyone there. Since Elder and Clan Leader were here, including us, we felt that it would be faster to send the servants to help the disciples.
“Dammit, when would they return?” The Elder snapped back.
“Only in the evening.” The expert sighed.
“…” There was a collective sigh following that as everyone turned silent, except for a certain someone.
“Please…”
…
“What will be the goal of this Academy of yours, Hazen?” The Green Centipede Clan Leader asked, “And, who will be in charge of it?”
“The goal is to train the experts to fight against the Evil Spirits. I’ll be training them in all sorts of possibilities to ensure they don’t die like weeds before an Evil Spirit.” Compass Carburettor said, pointing at himself to state with confidence, “And obviously, I’ll be in charge of the Academy.”
“Do you have the strength to defend it?” The Green Centipede Clan Leader snorted in displeasure, “Any casual powerhouse can trample on your Academy. Obviously, you’ll need our Elders to defend it.”
“That wouldn’t be necessary.” Compass Carburettor slowly got up as he looked at the Blazing Sun Clan Leader, asking, “Can I show something outside?”
“With pleasure.” The Blazing Sun Clan Leader let out a subtle smile, feeling a tad excited upon seeing Compass Carburettor’s steady gaze. Unlike the others, he was the only one that had seen Compass Carburettor bring out the Apocalypse World Compass Carburettor.
It meant that he had more than enough strength to protect himself and destroy his opponent.
Upon seeing the Blazing Sun Clan Leader give his approval, everyone else could only nod in response, moving out of the tent as they spread out in the open, gazing at the figure of Compass Carburettor casually walking further and further away.
Slowly, once he was a couple dozen metres away from them, Compass Carburettor smiled, waving his hand as he brought out the Heaven Grade Bronze Golem.
The moment the fifty-metre-tall golem appeared before them, everyone was shocked. But, the most shocked among them all was the Blazing Sun Clan Leader.
Of course, how could he forget? It was his regret at the time that he was unable to take the treasure within this golem and could only retreat helplessly. The four Heaven Grade Golems proved to be too troublesome for him to handle.
After all, they were equivalent to a Martial Providence Stage powerhouse in strength. He then gazed at its chest instinctively, frowning upon noticing a Martial Spirit inside.
“Heaven Martial Spirit, Putrid Crocodile.” Compass Carburettor announced, punching forth with his hand as the Bronze Golem mimicked his action, punching forth as it unleashed a murky mist that rapidly decomposed a tree upon making contact, “Velcorn’s Martial Spirit.”
“The World Decaying Evil Spirit’s Martial Spirit? And it’s a Heaven Grade at that?” The Green Centipede Clan Leader muttered in shock, trembling in fear upon feeling the sheer terrifying aura emanating from it.
“How…did you do this?” The Blazing Sun Clan Leader asked in shock. Just the fact of Compass Carburettor being able to command the Bronze Golem was terrifying enough. But he went a step further and gave it the power of a Heaven Martial Spirit.
“It’s my Clan’s innate speciality.” Compass Carburettor smiled in response, “It’s not something others can understand.”
He then smiled, looking at the Green Centipede Clan Leader, “Elder, is this enough proof of my capability? I alone am enough to protect the Academy and everyone in it.”
The Green Centipede Clan Elder gritted his teeth, unable to say anything else. He was hoping to extend his influence by posting one of his Elders in the Academy. This way, the genius experts of the Academy would have a stronger opinion of his Clan.
It was not to mention the Elder having the possibility to poach some of them that were unaffiliated. After all, anyone that joined the Academy would be an elite among the experts. So, poaching anyone would be beneficial for his Clan’s growth.
Of course, what he or the other Clan Leaders and Sect Masters didn’t know was that Compass Carburettor had been prepared for their petty schemes since long ago, ready to ensure none of their schemes would ever take effect.
