Chapter 487: Velar Secret Realm

Chapter 487: Velar Secret Realm

“Get her! Don’t allow her to escape!” A Martial Providence Stage cultivator shouted as he turned into a hawk, unleashing a torrent of rain that slammed like bullets onto the forest below, targeting a certain figure that was running away.

The figure rode a lemur that was sparkling with lighting currents, causing its figure to skate through the forest like it was a speeding track, constantly avoiding the hail of raindrops that caused fist-sized craters upon slamming into the trees.

“Dammit!” The Martial Providence Stage cultivator grunted in annoyance upon seeing the target evading his attacks constantly.

The figure wasn’t just escaping but was carrying a group of children on its back. And all the children were talents carefully groomed by his Clan.

The lemur spanned a length of ten metres. But despite the size, its speed was tremendous, able to mow down the trees while running away.

The figure riding at the front was of course Straxia, chuckling throughout the chase as she suddenly snapped her fingers, causing a mysterious portal to form between two trees as the lemur jumped into it, vanishing from view as the portal collapsed immediately after.

Following it, the two trees rotted.

“Screw you!” The Martial Providence Stage cultivator shouted in rage as he levelled the entire area. Many experts and a couple of powerhouses stood beside him, sporting a sullen gaze.

“How many times has this been?” The Martial Providence Stage cultivator spoke helplessly, “She has kidnapped pretty much all the young talents of our region. No matter how much we tighten our defences, she breaches through them all as if they are nothing.”

It wasn’t as if they could just jail all the potential targets to prevent them from being stolen. That wouldn’t be a sound strategy since all her targets were kids below fifteen years old.

This was why they always failed to protect them, allowing Straxia to steal them from time to time. And it wasn’t just one Clan or Sect that was facing this issue. Pretty much every force in the Dellnum Realm was in the same state.

The commoners too weren’t left alone as every mortal with even the least bit of talent was targeted.

“Hah, another batch captured successfully,” Straxia muttered, retracting her Martial Spirit as she gazed at the children now laid down on the ground.

Currently, she was in the Velar Secret Realm, a discrete Realm connected to the Dellnum Realm. It wasn’t a Realm that had openly appeared in the Dellnum Realm, so records pertaining to it weren’t much.

But, Straxia stumbled upon details regarding it coincidentally when she was being chased by a force that she offended purposefully by crippling their young master. Once she obtained this piece of information, Straxia began to look for more information, collecting them while offending many forces in return.

She then found a channel to enter the Velar Secret Realm, a Realm void of any human or Martial Spirit. It was a forested Realms, full of precious herbs of all varieties, not to mention the dense concentration of Origin Essence there.

Straxia explored the place, eventually arriving at the core of the Secret Realm where she stumbled upon a mysterious treasure that acted as the device to control the Secret Realm. When she obtained this treasure, it fused with her Martial Spirit, allowing her to control the Secret Realm.

The control was only in regards to where she could condense the entrance of the Secret Realm in the Dellnum Realm. And the only condition she needed to follow was for two trees to stand side by side that acted as the frame for her portal.

Using this, she began her scheme to steal the talents from every city, using the Velar Secret Realm’s power to condense portals and appear in any place she so desired.

As for the reason she stole the children?

“Ahem!” Straxia coughed as she summoned her Martial Spirit—Lightning Lemur.

It gazed at the dozen children before it as bumps appeared on its body. The bumps began to grow in size, becoming enlarged warts that continued to develop like cancer cells.

A minute later, the warts broke off, collapsing to the ground like large sacks of flesh. A couple of seconds later, the first sack was torn from the inside as a bloody creature walked out, resembling a cub version of the Lightning Lemur.

This baby Lightning Lemur slowly walked towards the first child, tapping his forehead, turning into a stream of light to enter his body.

“Gah!” The boy grunted in pain as his body wriggled, spasming about as grating sounds resounded from within him. Around a minute later, his convulsions stopped as the surrounding Origin Essence slowly began to seep into him.

He had become a cultivator.

And his Martial Spirit was the Lightning Lemur, a Heaven Martial Spirit.

Slowly, the boy woke up, massaging his forehead that ached as he looked around in confusion, gazing at the group of children beside him, shuddering in fear as he looked at Straxia, for she was infamous in the Dellnum Realm as a being that kidnapped children to feast upon.

“Please spare me!” The boy began to cry, begging for his life.

Bonk!

Straxia took out a straw bat that she slammed on his head. It didn’t hurt him other than making a loud sound, confusing him as she muttered, “How do you feel now?”

“Eh?” The boy was confused as he noticed that something was different about his body. He seemed strangely…stronger?

“How did I get a Martial Spirit?” He was shocked, stupefied upon sensing that it was a Heaven Martial Spirit.

“This is a gift I’m bestowing upon you.” Straxia smiled gently, lifting him up as she patted his back, “There’s great corruption in the Dellnum Realm. And only I know of this. Hence, they labelled me as a villain.”

Upon seeing the boy’s disbelief, she smiled, pointing at him, “Otherwise, why would I give you a Heaven Martial Spirit? You should understand how strong this is, right?”

Even if he didn’t wish to believe it, the boy could only nod in response, for those with a Heaven Martial Spirit could casually create the strongest organisation in the Dellnum Realm. And now, he was a Heaven Martial Spirit cultivator.

“Well, I won’t force you to understand everything. You’ll come to learn everything over time.” She smiled gently, snapping her fingers as two women arrived and instructed the boy to follow them, leading him away.

Following that, the remaining baby Lightning Lemurs touched the foreheads of a child each, causing their bodies to convulse in response.
