Chapter 565: Stencil’s Capability
Chapter 565: Stencil’s Capability
It had been drilled into her by the trio in the Dimensional Space of the various things at stake. All three of them were unique existences with a plethora of experiences.
And since Stencil was smart, to begin with, she came up to speed soon after. Following that, she trained and got used to all her abilities. It was especially since there was no lack of Mental Energy, considering a consistent stream continued to gush into the Dimensional Space nonstop, with it only increasing in quantity over time.
Manipulating humans, the acting Skills possessed by Compass Carburettor—inherited by Dota through Secret Society, the business acumen that he possessed, trickery, life skills that consisted of a variety of daily chores, general knowledge, etc.
Stencil trained in everything. Moreover, Gana taught her everything related to combat, beating all sense into her until it became her instinct.
Surviving in the apocalypse would naturally make one a damn well fighter, not to mention having experience worth almost a millennium. And with the powers of a Beyonder, Gana was a hellish training instructor.
Moreover, Stencil didn’t have a normal human body. Once she took on her Coordinate form, she was like a sponge that absorbed everything.
Following that, she worked on controlling her Martial Spirit to unleash various abilities, control them, and also integrate them with her other abilities.
And one aspect of them was what allowed her to mask herself currently as a Metal Element Grandmaster Mage.
It was an action executed through the usage of her Coordinate that her body took the form of, overlaying the metal attribute in her Martial Spirit by transforming into that, and finally, using Secret Refiner to change its nature from Origin Essence to Mana.
The last part was the easiest as she wasn’t changing Origin Essence to Mana. That would have been difficult to maintain for an extended duration. She was only changing Origin Essence to Mental Energy and then Mental Energy to Mana.
With Mental Energy’s versatile nature, adding on a Skill or two, and voila. Her disguise as a Metal Element Grandmaster Mage was complete.
Once she completed her transformation, Compass Carburettor casually used the thoughts from the Mental Energy she generated at him on purpose, using them to perfect his disguise.
There was no strongest ability but only the strongest individual.
In the hands of an idiot, even a legendary sword amounted to nothing but scrap metal. But in the hands of an expert, a butter knife was more than enough. And the latter route was what Stencil had been trained to tread onto.
Honestly, it wasn’t in Gana’s nature to train others. But, as she was overly devoted to Compass Carburettor, upon learning that Stencil was her Lord’s one and only daughter and seeing how he valued Stencil more than his own life, Gana took it upon himself to pour her everything into Stencil.
And that resulted in one terrifying candidate.
Through the horse, Stencil observed the caravan and kept an eye on the surroundings. She also heard the discussions of the people around her, linking them with the related Mental Energy streams.
Spying through Mental Energy streams was imperfect. After all, she was only able to observe the contents of Mental Energy streams directed at her. Everything else was something she couldn’t even see.
It was the same for all Systems. Only Mental Energy streams directed at them could be observed and used.
Therefore, anything not directed at her was a blind spot. There could be two people plotting at them while focusing on each other. It was a simple but definite method.
Therefore, she needed to use other methods to keep a track of things, ensuring that she was always prepared.
Of course, she didn’t just wantonly enter this world. Even though she wholeheartedly wished to just roam freely, she wasn’t that spoiled.
After all, losing an arm as a child ensured that she was always grounded in reality, maturing faster even as a child.
Part of the reason for arriving in this world was to distract her father, allowing him to just enjoy things without having to worry about anything.
Secondly, there was a deeper secret regarding Systems buried in this ancient world. After all, when she accessed the database of the various worlds accessible to the Systems, she chanced upon this.
And, it was a rather shocking fact.
A-001!
This was the first world in their database!
Meaning, this was one of the oldest worlds that a System had ever been to. Or rather, the truth regarding their origin was buried in the history of this world.
It was also due to its significance that no Grade 2 or Grade 3 System had taken over this world, maintaining it in its original state. And only some Grade 1 Systems arrived here.
Information regarding this world was too expensive for Hatchling Systems to buy and even though this world was labelled ‘A-001’ in their database, it was hard for even Systems to survive here, with the chances of death being high.
Even though the quantity of Mental Energy was a pitiful sum, the quality was superior. But, higher levelled Grade 1 Systems avoided this world like the plague, fearing of interfering with its natural operation.
After all, as the oldest world, if too many cheat-like existences were allowed to run amok, it would collapse sooner or later.
Therefore, only those between level 30 to level 50 arrived in this world. The level of cheat they could exhibit wasn’t even considered overboard in this world. There were races whose innate power was even more cheat-like than theirs.
Hence, these Systems wouldn’t trigger the cause and effect of this Fantasy World.
Stencil frowned as her horse focused on the carriage where Horan sat, from time to time sensing the Mental Energy streams directed at them by this Duke’s second son.
Her expression focused for a moment as a ring of starlight manifested around Horan’s neck, revolving rapidly. But after a couple of seconds, she relaxed her hold, causing the starlight ring to dissipate, ‘Not yet.’
‘Let’s verify the value of the information first.’ She thought, closing her eyes to rest. Even the Astral Network’s records related to this Fantasy World were outdated, so not everything she obtained from there could be believed word-to-word.
So, things had to be verified personally. And that was exactly what she planned to do. From the start, her objective was to get to the bottom of this matter and help her dad win this fight against the Systems.
