Chapter 594: The True Power of Bullet Template

Chapter 594: The True Power of Bullet Template

The one that appeared was a Human Saint. But, he didn’t originate from the Xetuka Kingdom; he had an unknown origin.

He resembled a youth, sporting long blue clothes that fluttered in the wind as he hovered in the air, able to fly naturally, something all Saints were capable of.

He was a Mage that wielded the Fire Element, gazing in surprise at Horan’s figure, muttering in praise, “You’re the first Pseudo-Saint to ever evade my attack. You’re talented.”

“I have to praise you for that.”

‘Damit!’ Horan’s expression was foul, having never expected to run into a Saint so abruptly. If not for Teto’s alarmed shout, he wouldn’t have been able to react so quickly.

‘How did he notice the Saint before me?’ Horan gazed at Teto in surprise before his body trembled in shock, noticing that a section of Teto’s hands had been charred black. He hadn’t managed to wholly evade the attack.

“I’m fine.” Teto pried himself out of Horan’s hold, wincing in pain as after a moment of thought, he retracted most of his power from the Dragon Bullet sent to the base of the Talon Secret Organisation.

Otherwise, it would be impossible for him to face a Saint.

Without any hesitation, he condensed a gun and aimed at the Saint, keeping the trigger pressed as bullets streamed out like a laser, slamming into the Saint as fiery sparks resounded.

Suddenly, a portion of his Mental Energy was expended as he unleashed a Dragon Bullet, one full of the emotion of fear and thoughts of distraction. It was made from his thoughts, intending to distract the Saint and also plant some fear in him.

This way, he wouldn’t be at his optimal battle state, allowing them to fight better.

But shockingly, even though he wasn’t able to see the Dragon Bullet, the fire surrounding the Saint took action, morphing in shape to form a barrier that resulted in a loud clang when the Dragon Bullet slammed into it.

“What?” Compass Carburettor was shocked, for he had unleashed a Mental Energy attack on his opponent. And, the Saint himself hadn’t reacted to the attack, but it was his profession that took action instead.

‘So, this is how the profession itself protects the Saints.’ He nodded in understanding, able to make sense of what happened.

This wasn’t the first time a Mental Energy attack had been used in this Fantasy World. The many System Hosts and System Slayers had done so countless times.

And considering the fact how various Relics had been turned into Personal Fragments, it meant that the world itself had adapted to such things, since the foundation of a Personal Fragment was the laws of the world it originated from.

There should have been a System Slayer with a Relic/Pseudo-Relic possessing the imprint of a Fire Mage. This meant that the Mage profession in the Fire Element was capable of using Mental Energy instead of mana and even interchanging between the two.

Currently, upon seeing that the attack couldn’t be defended conventionally by the Saint, his profession took action, morphing the flames into a form where it worked against the Dragon Bullet.

That was how Compass Carburettor’s attack had been defended against.

In other worlds, this wouldn’t have been possible, for there wasn’t even a System Slayer originating from most worlds. So, having more than one System Slayer was too rare.

But, the Fantasy World was an exception, having given birth to hundreds of System Slayers, including the First Main Character. So, its laws were by far the most developed.

After all, how else would its power system be capable of using Systems as a fuel?

Stencil had informed him about it through a Mental Energy stream after hearing about it from Wayna.

But now that he witnessed it first hand, Compass Carburettor understood just how deep the power system of this world had developed.

“…” Horan glared at the Saint in tension, noticing the other party calmly defending against the hail of bullets shot by Teto. He then observed that Gehera was barely able to stand before the Saint, trying her best to not fall unconscious.

‘It seems I’ve become involved in something beyond my power scope.’ Horan thought, sighing for a moment before he riled up his mana, staring at the Saint as he said, “Is this how Saints behave these days? Ambushing juniors without even an introduction?”

“Haha, you’re an interesting child.” The Saint smirked, saying after a while, “Well, with your strength, you are indeed qualified to know my name.”

He waved his hand, causing the flames dancing around him to vanish as he introduced himself, “I’m a Mage, the Saint of Fire, Sahar Khara.”

“Since you’ve stepped on the tail of a slumbering beast, I have no other choice but to send you to the afterlife.” Sahar Khara said slowly, raising his hand as he condensed a violent revolving sphere of fire, emanating dense heat as the hot rock on the nearby hill began to turn reddish, emitting fumes.

The trees there had long since been reduced to ash by now.

“Keuk!” Gehera grunted in pain, feeling a burning sensation throughout her body due to the sheer heat emanating from the sphere.

Sahar Khara observed the faces of the three that he was able to kill now, frowning all of a sudden upon noticing that the middle-aged man among the group break into a smile.

“Thank you.” Compass Carburettor said, having absorbed the entirety of the Mental Energy stream he unleashed, full of clear thoughts and by far the purest in terms of quality.

He processed all the thoughts, condensing them in his body before producing a mark.

Bullet Template—Sahar Khara!

Immediately after, he shot out a Dragon Bullet that transformed into a fire dragon, blazing through the air at speeds multiple times the speed of sound, opening its mouth wide as it gobbled the volatile fire sphere created by Sahar Khara, snorting as all the Fire Mana was turned into a tonic to further strengthen it.

After all, what Compass Carburettor was unleashing now was Sahar Khara’s power, possessing the same energy signature.

The fire dragon revolved in the air, slamming its tail into Sahar Khara as surprisingly, his profession didn’t protect him this time, for it seemed like a self-induced attack.

Boom!

His figure was sent flying as for the first time since he became a Saint, Sahar Khara stared incredulously as he crashed into the hill.
