Chapter 631: This Main Character is Such a Troll
[There once existed a tool, a weapon of…]
[million forms…]
“A hope, that can save me from this crisis!” Aronaut said, taking out the purified Tukkan Crystal that he bought from Stencil, noticing that before he realised, a gold coin had appeared in its centre, suffused with a mysterious power.
One side of the coin sported a blood-drenched smile of greed, eyes curled up grandly and a vicious depiction of avarice. And on the other side was the set of words that he read aloud just now.
“What does that mean?” Slayer frowned all of a sudden, his eyes widening as realisation dawned on him a moment later, recognising that the purified Tukkan Crystal in Aronaut’s hand was given to him by Stencil.
And what was the primary usage of the Tukkan Crystal? To create Magic Tools, including Pseudo-Relics and Relics.
Aronaut had already transformed into a human, harnessing his power as an Alchemist to begin refining the Tukkan Crystal.
Indeed, the moment Compass Carburettor’s silhouette manifested around Stencil, things had changed. His Personal Fragment had reacted at that time, being drawn over to the other party naturally.
And when he talked with Slayer, he understood what was up. But it was then that he felt puzzled.
Since he and even the weakest of the System Slayers were able to sense their Personal Fragments humming in response to Compass Carburettor’s arrival, it would of course imply that the other party too sensed it, right?
‘Did it happen when he deflected my attack?’ Slayer thought, feeling it was strange that for an instant, the Luck protecting Stencil doubled in intensity before halving immediately after.
“I see, in that duration, he used the luck to do something,” Slayer concluded, being right on the mark.
Once Compass Carburettor swallowed the Coordinate in Tehela while destroying her System, Slayer was alerted, for it was him that had painstakingly created it to aid the creation of the Plague Doctor profession.
Therefore, Compass Carburettor realised that Slayer would target Stencil to bargain her life with him in an effort to control him. Due to that, he directed a Mental Energy stream to the Dragon Bullet hiding in her body, strengthening it rapidly.
The Dragon Bullet transformed using Slayer’s bullet Template, deflecting his attack when its nature shifted to the Happy-Go-Lucky Luck right when Stencil transformed into the Happy-Go-Lucky System.
In that instant, when she influenced the luck of the region, Compass Carburettor sensed a good fraction of her luck remaining in the refined Tukkan Crystal that she had gifted Aronaut. It indeed symbolised Happy-Go-Lucky nature as Aronaut indeed made a beneficial trade regarding it.
Compass Carburettor was able to feel the Main Character System fragments in the bodies of all the System Slayers in the room beckoning for him to take them with him. But, he noticed that Slayer and the five System Slayers next to him seemed otherwise.
The Main Character System fragments in them were more tame while there was no reaction from the Main Character System fragment in Slayer.
This meant that should things get hairy, Aronaut, whose Main Character System fragment reacted to him would be on his side and be able to help him the most. And since the purified Tukkan Crystal was with him, Compass Carburettor shot out a Dragon Bullet by disguising it as Happy-Go-Lucky Luck, causing it to seep into the crystal’s innate Happy-Go-Lucky Luck.
Following that, it morphed, turning into a Money-Making Coin with the power of Lore.
Even though none had read the Lore he had created, there was a heavenly being that had read it in Tentuna City before.
This meant that it had already been registered in the mind of a high-level entity, and due to its mysterious nature, that heavenly entity indeed gave more thought regarding it.
And now, thanks to the guidance from his Main Character System fragment, Aronaut took out the refined Tukkan Crystal, noticing the Money-Making Coin that had appeared mysteriously, reading the information written on it, triggering the power of Lore which also contained Slayer’s power—as a Principal Arbiter, registering this into the region itself.
Aware that Yaka was Stencil, Aronaut understood that it was the Main Character helping him, so the words registered in his mind too.
Moreover, as Slayer had already been focused on Compass Carburettor recently, the words registered in his mind, not to mention part of his power being used to activate it in the first place. And whether it was Aronaut or Slayer, both were aware that this was from the Main Character, believing it entirely.
Both accounted it as Compass Carburettor’s Core Skill at play. And as they believed it, their reinforcement caused the Lore to take effect.
After all, both Aronaut and Slayer were heavenly beings at the peak of this world’s power system, their every thought refined, equivalent to thoughts from millions of people.
Aronaut’s Alchemist power was absorbed by the Tukkan Crystal as it used the power of Lore to automatically transform into a Relic as the Money-Making Coin’s power took effect.
“Kya!” Wayna screamed as it felt like her mind was breaking apart as suddenly, the System fragments growing in her mind were pulled out and sucked into the newly formed Relic.
That wasn’t all, as every other System Slayer too experienced the same, including Slayer to a certain extent.
“What the…?” Wayna’s face paled in response as her Pseudo-Relic gradually turned dim, becoming so weak that it was only a Pseudo-Relic in name alone, almost regressing into a Magic Tool as all the mental imprints on it were also sucked out.
The mental imprints of all Pseudo-Relics and Relics were rapidly sucked into the newly formed Relic as Aronaut stared, wide-eyed, noticing his own Relic losing a good fraction of its power as the Relic before him transformed into a shield.
The shield revolved around him, pulsing with a mysterious power as it enveloped all the System Slayers in the region—except Slayer—into a bubble as immediately, they vanished.
“Slayer, are you alright?” Balveta teleported into the space in a hurry to see Slayer standing alone in the dark void, amid the carcasses of world-devouring entities, “What…happened? Did you kill Aronaut and the rest already?”
“Haha…hahaha!” Suddenly, Slayer burst out laughing as he condensed a chair and took a seat, holding himself as he laughed uncontrollably, finally uttering under his breath once he calmed down, “This Main Character is such a troll.”
