Chapter 667: In My Past (part 32)
“Is this…me?” Faura felt strange, failing to handle the emotion she was experiencing at the moment, feeling like she wasn’t being herself.
She stared at the panting figure of Hyunna, feeling that the other party was strangely…more handsome than before? It was suddenly as if her eyes were covered by a rose-tinted filter, causing every action of Hyunna to make her heart thump faster.
‘W-What is this?’ Faura was shocked. Actually, Hyunna hadn’t done anything to her. As she was a bloodthirsty individual, her fiancees typically screamed in horror while in her presence. No man ever looked at her like a fellow Demon, not to mention a woman.
They always stared at her as if she was the worst among monsters, a calamitous entity.
Therefore, upon seeing that Hyunna not only treated her as a woman but had also drawn such a gorgeous painting of her, her feelings were overwhelmed.
Hyunna noticed that Faura was staring at the painting with a flushed face, shocked at the scene as he thought, ‘How did this…happen?’
‘I made that painting!’ The Thousand-Eyed Beast announced in his mind, ‘Quick! Take action before she overcomes this.’
‘Wait, you can read my thoughts?’ Hyunna was shocked before he said in a hurry, ‘What do you mean by taking action? What should I do?’
‘You goddamn idiot! Tame her!’ The Thousand-Eyed Beast appeared before his face, shouting in a fluster, ‘Do it before she recovers. Pedal it further and make her fall for you. She’s weak to such things.’
A scroll appeared in his hands as Hyunna opened it to read its contents before his face turned red in embarrassment. He hesitated for a couple of seconds before getting up under the Thousand-Eyed Beast’s urgings, appearing before Faura to see her take a step back in fluster.
Her heart was thumping so fast that her face was flushed red, making it difficult for her to make eye contact with him.
“Faura…” Hyunna spoke slowly, using a base voice in all seriousness, seeing her flinch like a cat as he closed in on her, standing within an arm’s distance as he opened the scroll, “The first time I saw you, the poet in me awakened.”
“On that starry night, under the silver moonlight highlighting your crimson hair, my heart became yours.”
“I raced up the pagoda, to steal a glance close up, but like a fairy, you vanished.”
He moved right before her, almost touching her as Hyunna felt her hot breaths on his face, experiencing an electrifying feeling as he spoke, melodious in nature, “I longed for a blessing, a chance encounter with the thief that stole my heart, the figure that haunted my dreams…and reality…”
“To meet you again…” He raised his hand, gently placing it on her head as he brushed her hair, “my crimson fairy.”
He stared deep into her eyes, “Do I have the honour of becoming your poet?”
“T-T-This is…w-what…I…I…” Faura was like a broken record by now as she was absolutely flabbergasted, feeling that her body had gone weak when Hyunna gently pulled her into his embrace.
She then noticed, peeking above his shoulder, staring at a scroll that unfurled behind him, one depicting the scene of her laughing chirpily, wearing a flower that Hyunna had weaved out of grass, the two seated on a grassy plain like innocent kids, content with the presence of each other.
Something seemed to have been triggered in her with that as Faura’s hands coiled around him, tightening her embrace as her voice became resolute, “You’re…”
She stared into his eyes, her face red as she muttered softly, “Mine!”
‘Fool! This is the chance! Do it!’ The Thousand-Eyed Beast shouted in his mind as Hyunna instinctively activated his Tamer powers, causing his mana to flow into Faura as the other party jerked instinctively before she stared at him, revealing a gentle smile, allowing his mana to enter her freely.
Soon after, she became his Tamed Beast as Hyunna was unable to believe himself, obtaining a Blood Elementalist as his Tamed Beast.
…
“Hyunna is alive?” The Clan Head was surprised as he stared at the servant before him, “And not only that, he even tamed Faura?”
“This guy…” He felt a headache, for taming Faura was no different from instigating the Felasi Clan. It was a slap to their face, and if not handled well, it might even spark a war between the two Clans.
Sighing, the Clan Head waved his hand, “Summon Hyunna here.”
“Yes, Master.” The servant bowed in response and exited the study, summoning Hyunna soon after.
“Dad summoned me again?” Hyunna frowned, getting up from his bed as he adjusted his clothes, staring at the sleeping figure of Faura that was blissfully coiled around him like a serpent.
He extricated himself from her hold and arrived at the study, entering it to see his father stare at him blankly, saying after a moment, “Remove your enslavement over Faura. This matter will trigger the Felasi Clan.”
“I won’t.” Hyunna snorted in response, turning around to leave.
“If you take a step outside the study, you’ll die.” The Clan Head said, gradually oozing out killing intent as the servants stationed around shuddered in response, collapsing to the ground.
Hyunna too was the same, but unlike before, even though he was physically overwhelmed, he was able to endure mentally, harnessing all his strength to speak, “I’m engaged to Faura of the Felasi Clan. Once we’re married, I’ll become part of the Felasi Clan. So, it’s not your place to command me.”
“You!” The Clan Head glared in anger, having never expected this useless son of his to talk back, intending to smack sense into him when suddenly, the doors to the study opened as a lady sauntered in.
She was dressed lavishly from head to toe, seated on a seat of water that flowed across the ground, as if she was riding a boat across the river. A wave branched out of the throne and coiled around Hyunna, lifting him up as the lady smirked in interest, “You’ve managed to tame my uncontrollable daughter. How did you do it?”
“I…I’ve liked her since long ago.” Hyunna lied without an ounce of shame under the Thousand-Eyed Beast’s urging. Though, as they had already done the deed, it seemed Faura had indeed taken a comfortable place in his heart, so his words weren’t entirely a lie.
“Good, since you’ll be part of my Clan, I won’t hold you accountable.” The lady smirked before saying, “Also, it’s better to have someone rein in my unruly daughter. She had been giving me a headache all along, so keep the enslavement on her…”
“After all…” She laughed as an embarrassed figure of Faura appeared behind her, “It seems my daughter truly fell for you.”
“Then, I won’t press upon this matter further.” Hyunna’s father cupped his fists respectfully upon seeing that the Felasi Clan were rather happy about this matter.
