Chapter 679: One Shot, One Kill
Chapter 679: One Shot, One Kill
“Dammit!” Horan cursed in response, staring at the number of Birdmen increasing in the skies, causing the people in the region to gulp in fear. They were around a couple dozen kilometres from Tentuna City, able to hear faint sounds originating from that direction.
It was apparent that Tentuna City was being attacked by the Birdmen in large numbers. And as for the group here, they had been chasing after Lelumi Xetuka from the start. There were people like Granak Burnak that was instigating everyone to kill her while there were others who had loved ones in Buhan City, placing all the blame on her, intending to make her suffer a fate worse than hell.
“We’ll need to buy time a little.” Compass Carburettor said in a hurry, able to sense the Mental Energy streams directed at him, “I’ll be able to bring us out of here soon.”
Though, he had no such thoughts, for he was able to sense danger from everywhere. With the loss of two Saints, the Burnak Kingdom wasn’t able to control their people as firmly as before. And wherever their control lapsed, the Talon Secret Organisation took charge to rile up the populace.
After all, Saint Calvos and Saint Balvador were from the Burnak Kingdom in the first place. So, they were aware of all the ins and outs. With that, they personally instigated the people to attack the Xetuka Kingdom.
And to make matters worse, Gormana launched an attack on the Xetuka Kingdom, causing its forces to be split thin. They had to face the attacks of both the Burnak Kingdom and the Gormana Kingdom.
That wasn’t all, the southern marshes were stirring up constantly, as if they were planning a large move. This meant that the Xetuka Kingdom had to constantly keep an eye on the south too, further tensing them.
Even the Guardian Saint had to make a move, personally heading towards the south as a deterrent against the Lizardmen. It was only thanks to his presence did Lethuna refrain from taking action.
After all, irrespective of how large the army grew, he alone was capable of wiping them out. The reason was simple, he was the strongest Saint in this region and also the one that wielded the Xetuka Kingdom’s most powerful Relic—Starfall.
Labelled as a weapon capable of bringing a country to its ruins, it was the perfect deterrent against the Lizardmen.
Unfortunately, even Starfall could only deter one side. And, Gormana dispatched two Saints to the Aira to pressure the Xetuka Kingdom which sent two of their own Saints as a counter.
This meant that all their Saints were away from the Kingdom, which forced them to recall the one dispatched to the Burnak Kingdom as an envoy. And, irrespective of what they did to control the situation following that, things just spiralled out of control.
It had to be noted that the master puppeteer was Slayer and his fellow peak System Slayers with hundreds of System Fragments and dozens of Core Skills. So, their methods were innumerous, and not easy for the two Kingdoms to resist.
Compass Carburettor condensed Anthozoa in his hand, placing it in Stencil’s hand as she was surprised to see it turn into a stream of light and vanish in her body.
[Dad, what’s this?]
[New extension of my power with the birth of the fifth Main Character. You’ll be able to use the six Bullet Templates I’ve registered in it by supplying it with Mental Energy. If you wish to conserve your energy, just use the regular bullets]
Stencil was surprised at the fact, her eyes widening in shock as she felt a connection with Anthozoa, able to do what he just explained.
She condensed it in her hands, watching it make dozens of bullets within a second, causing a gust as it sucked in air from its surroundings at a tremendous speed.
[Brat, among the six Bullet Templates, there’s the Fire Magic of Saint, Sahar Khara, Immortality of Tehela, and finally, Slayer’s power]
[Slayer’s power?]
Stencil was shocked, focusing on the sixth Bullet Template, failing to understand just what it was about, for it seemed strangely…complex?
[I’m not sure how this is possible, but using Slayer’s power, it’s possible to create Coordinates]
[C-Coordinates?]
Stencil was shocked, wondering how this was possible, given that Coordinates were something only the System World could create. But upon seeing her dad nod in response, she became a tad excited.
This meant that she could make Coordinates that were basically like food for her, given that one of her abilities was to become a Coordinate herself.
“Attack!” Granak Burnak shouted as he rained down curses onto Lelumi Xetuka while continuing to create a grand curse with the help of everybody.
“Can you fight?” Horan stared at Lelumi Xetuka, defending the curses aimed at her before glaring at Granak.
“Yeah, thanks to your lightning cloak, I can face the curses without problems for the time being.” Lelumi Xetuka said as her figure shot into the air, intending to disrupt the curse that everyone was creating.
As for Horan, he closed his eyes, focusing as thunderclouds formed in the sky, his Lightning Mana riling up in response as intense bolts rained down from the sky, hindering the activation of the grand curse as it was slowly being consumed instead.
“Be careful with your attacks.” Compass Carburettor looked at Stencil before holding a gun in each of his hands, aiming at the Birdmen as he shot nonstop, with each bullet splattering the head of a Birdmen Witch.
The opposing side was shocked, wondering how a Grandmaster Metal Mage was able to exude such a frightening level of power, for his bullets simply pierced through the defensive means of the Witches and killed them.
One shot, one kill.
His efficiency was on par with Horan that was unleashing large attacks, silent in contrast, but deadly.
Stencil too aimed at the sky and began to shoot. It was easy to shoot using Anthozoa for it didn’t even vibrate a little following a shot, a perfectly balanced weapon, allowing the bullet to hit exactly where she aimed at.
This caused her accuracy to be pretty high, even though she was just a beginner in terms of shooting.
‘This father and daughter pair are strong.’ Lelumi Xetuka noticed through the corner of her eyes, watching the head of a Birdmen Witch that had intended to sneak up on her burst as a bullet slammed dead centre.
‘Just who are they?’
