Chapter 778: CC Offers a Deal

Chapter 778: CC Offers a Deal

Mascot was in charge of the booming Isekai Genre, always transporting suitable candidates from one world to another, and as a result, causing development in both. There were millions of Gods under her, with each a representative of their respective Isekai World.

Her power was tremendous in that she had an entire organisation of celestial powers under her, forming one of the strongest forces among the Genre Representatives.

The one with the strongest force was still Immortal, having countless Immortal Gods under him that had each consumed entire universes to fuel their strength. And it was only thanks to their existence that he still maintained a portion of his powers.

If they were to die, his power would collapse alarmingly so. After all, the majority of those becoming Immortal Gods recently were all helped by a System. This meant that all the power they gained would be consumed by the System in the end.

This prevented Immortal’s power from growing, which was why even though he had the strongest army, he never waged a war with them. As the death of each Immortal God meant a permanent reduction in his strength, he refrained from using them.

It could also be implied that the majority of the source of Immortal’s power wasn’t from the Cultivation Worlds but the Immortal Gods that wielded power surpassing their native worlds.

But right after that was Mascot, with the second-strongest army. It could be said that the loss of those in her army wouldn’t affect her. After all, she embodied the concept of cheats.

Therefore, it was hard for the System to wry control over her domain. And as the number of worlds forming the Isekai Genre continued to multiply, her strength was growing rapidly over the recent years, causing her strength to boom in response.

It was why she was the first to take action, arriving at the scene as she glared at the Systems. And upon noticing the energy-condensed form of Zaira, her voice boomed, “You dare show yourself beyond the System World?”

“Did you finally lose enough braincells?”

“Keuk!” The Tell-Tale System groaned in response, feeling an indescribable pressure, only able to heave a sigh in relief when Zaira enveloped her energy-condensed form over it.

“Mascot has grown stronger…” The Grade 3 System, Apocalypse muttered, watching its body tremble in response to the pressure that was generated from Mascot’s mere words.

“This is just a representative form of mine. Killing it is of no consequence.” Zaira stated calmly, glaring as in an instant, Mascot’s body almost buckled under the pressure.

Zaira dared to face all the Genre Representatives on her own, forcing them to put aside their past differences and join hands. So obviously, she was stronger.

“Arrogant as always,” Mascot muttered as the pressure emanating from her intensified, resisting Zaira’s pressure.

A couple of seconds later, the pressure from both sides vanished as more Genre Representatives arrived.

Immortal!

Magister!

Martial!

Including Mascot, four Genre Representatives had arrived in total, causing the side of the Systems to feel nervous. After all, even though the Genre Representatives were unable to kill them, they were able to destroy their bodies.

Normally, it would only mean that they would revive in the System World.

But, it had to be noted that Slayer was watching from the side. Meaning, the moment they were killed, he would absorb their essence to strengthen himself. A fight erupting at his doorstep was a boon for his future.

Currently, Slayer’s power was on par with a Grade 3 System while the five Universe Relic wielders under him were on par with Grade 2 Systems. That was a sizeable power, especially since they have the home-ground advantage, capable of siphoning the power of their world.

Now that Slayer had expressed his stance, the face-off changed from a two-way face-off to a three-way face-off now.

“Slayer, why don’t we make a deal?” Suddenly, the tense situation was broken by Compass Carburettor as he stared at Slayer.

“A deal?” Slayer raised an eyebrow, acting calm while internally, he just upped the threat value of Compass Carburettor, ‘What is this maniac planning now?’

If not for Conjurer taking action, his plans would have almost fallen short. So, Slayer was indeed apprehensive about Main Characters, which was why he took charge to kill as many as possible previously.

It was to ensure his plans wouldn’t come to light for the reigning powers to notice. Main Characters were experts at unravelling plans that took tens of thousands of years to create and collapse it in mere days.

And indeed, Compass Carburettor had casually stumbled upon Gehera and grasped most of Slayer’s plan in a matter of hours.

Thankfully, Slayer managed to outwit both Compass Carburettor and Conjurer into facing each other, taking the chance to complete his mission. Gehera’s mother, Tehela played a vital role in the creation of the Plague Doctor profession.

Had Compass Carburettor remained in the Cultivation World, he would have done something to save her, resulting in Slayer’s plans going up in smoke.

Even now, he was nervous about the existence of Gehera, someone that used the powers of the Fantasy World to become something beyond, breaking past all limits.

And, for almost a year, she had been stealing his powers nonstop, which indeed worried him. Thankfully, it stopped when Gehera changed targets to Compass Carburettor.

Finally, there was Stencil, a potential threat in the sense that she was a Coordinate, one that could operate independently, the first of its kind. It was Stencil’s actions—that cleaned up the Fantasy World of all Systems—that was the final step to his plan, allowing him to take over the Fantasy World without any obstruction.

And now that Compass Carburettor had offered him a deal, Slayer was careful, unwilling to get himself into a situation where he offended all parties. Currently, the ‘threat’ he showcased caused Zaira to take a ‘wait-and-see’ approach, unaware of what he could do with his newfound powers.

But if Compass Carburettor did something, then things would fall away from his favour.

Of course, it indeed seemed to be the case as Compass Carburettor said, “I’ll offer you the Conjurer Profession.”

“What do you need in return?” Slayer frowned, honestly interested in getting back the Conjurer Profession. It would strengthen his world further.

“Just one.” Compass Carburettor, pointing at the Tell-Tale System, “I want a fragment of it, nothing much.”
