Chapter 823: Death of Cultivation

Chapter 823: Death of Cultivation

“I’ll…do it!” Technocraft sighed as he waved his hand, influencing the world before him to make it align with his genre, breaking it out of Immortal’s rule.

“Remember that you’re now one of those that caused a permanent change to the state of things in our multiverse.” Mystique appeared beside him once again to state in concern; this was the Mystique that had aligned with the Genre Representatives.

He had just appeared, only to see that things had already taken a turn for the worse. Technocraft had already done the deed, finally tipping the scales of a changing era.

“Immortal is harnessing the Regression System’s power to regain his peak power. That puts a strain on the timelines of every single world that once existed as part of the Cultivation Genre.” Technocraft sighed helplessly, “His actions would create a singularity that would destroy pretty much every single world. This is the only way to avoid that future.”

Tears streamed out of his eyes, “After all, a good fraction of my worlds too shared history with the Cultivation Genre.”

He then stared at Mystique, “What do you expect me to have done?”

“I’m not blaming you.” Mystique said with a sombre tone, “If only I could appear an hour ago, things wouldn’t have worsened to this point. I would have prevented Zaira and Conjurer from meeting in that world.”

“Alas, we have no other choice but to completely sever Immortal from history. Otherwise, his regression would cause every single world that ever had a connection to him to implode and take us all down with him.” Mystique shook his head, sensing through his senses that all the surviving cultivation worlds rapidly lost their alignment with the Cultivation Genre thanks to Technocraft’s actions.

And in order to maintain their functions, they rapidly aligned themselves with the Genre Representatives that represented them the best following Immortal.

Of course, there were also worlds with a stable foundation that could exist on their own. These worlds still maintained their cultivation world status, but were too discrete and cut off from each other to ever birth a Cultivation Genre Representative.

The domino effect of losing that one world resulted in the death of the Cultivation Genre.

The Era of Cultivation was no more.

“Let’s go,” Mystique said, “We need to pay those Systems a visit. There’s too much fate at play in the current battle.”

“Yeah…” Technocraft nodded in response before his eyes widened as he dodged an attack, staring at two massive figures appearing before them.

Grade 4 System—Transmigration (Level 377)!

Grade 4 System—Reincarnation (Level 391)!

And instantly, half of their accumulated Mental Energy was expended as a unified voice resounded from the two Systems, “Having you interfere would result in our loss. So, we were waiting to take action.”

“Core Skill Manifestation…”

“Shit!” Mystique cursed in alarm upon seeing the four of them being wrapped up in a space-time bubble.

“We’ll stall you long enough.” Saying so, the Regression System pounced upon the two Genre Representatives, taking care to endure attacks from two of the strongest Genre Representatives.

“Dammit!” Technocraft glared in anger as he manifested a gigantic canon that blasted a beam powerful enough to destroy a universe, watching the space-time bubble crack in response before the two Grade 4 Systems healed the damage, “It seems we’ll be trapped inside for a while.”

Mystique sighed, “Seems you’re on your own for now, Compass.”

Zaira gasped, unable to feel her body anymore, beaten and battered alarmingly as she was vexed upon seeing Immortal’s strength continue to climb higher and higher, almost reaching an explosive state, alarmed, ‘No, he has regressed too much. He’s about to implode now! That would destroy all worlds, including the System World!’

“Zaira! Catch this!” Upon the Invader System’s shout, Zaira’s eyes shot open, bloody as they glared at Immortal before sensing Stencil being flung at her in full strength.

Moreover, she noticed a baleful wall of bones appear in the path of flight, created by Magister, one that oozed with enough power to kill Stencil at a mere touch.

Zaira extended her hand to destroy the wall and capture Stencil when Immortal stomped on her hand, shattering it in response, causing her to scream, “Grahhh!”

“Give up, Zaira. Your death is imminent…” Immortal said as he raised his staff before plunging it into Zaira’s skull, intending to deliver her death when suddenly, the staff shattered, causing his attack to miss.

“Gah!” Immortal coughed up blood as suddenly, his body rapidly lost strength and began to crack.

‘Did they finally do it?’ Zaira didn’t let up the chance as she wriggled her body and broke free of Immortal’s hold, pushing him to the side as she leaped forth to jump on the bone wall, screaming in pain while she resisted it and opened her mouth, intending to devour Stencil.

“Shit!” Arnark cursed in alarm as he activated all his Core Skills at the same time, gritting in stress at the sheer pressure of activating so many powerful abilities. His figure boomed towards Stencil to push her to the side before punching Zaira in the face, causing her to miss.

But, things didn’t end at that point as suddenly, Stencil’s flight path began to regress, causing her to return through the path, towards a point closest to Zaira.

“Die!” Mascot screamed shrilly before unleashing another arrow suffusing with the power of cheats, sending it booming at Stencil.

The Apocalypse System hurriedly jumped in the fray to defend against the arrow, still being sent reeling back in response as part of the arrow veered off to slam into Stencil, destroying her limbs.

“No…” Immortal gasped as he tried to leap at Zaira when the Waning Essence System, World Spirit System, and the rest of the Systems ganged upon him to tear into his body rapidly. Having lost all his power, he was just a mere paper tiger of his original self, a feast for the Systems to dine upon.

Slayer erected a domain at the place, pushing the Invader System aside as he approached Stencil first, watching Arnark keep Zaira at bay as he condensed a fist full of destructive energy and sent it raining down upon Stencil.

Boom!
