Chapter NaN: Leaving the Folkan Secret Realm
Chapter NaN: Leaving the Folkan Secret Realm
“Are all the System Hosts as terrifying as him?”
“Nope,” Grisha shook her head, “Most of them would be on Velcorn’s level. Troublesome, but still aren’t invincible.”
“I think there’s only Straxia and Dwun that we need to look out for among the remaining enemies,” Grisha said, gazing at Compass Carburettor, seeing him shake his head in response.
“We can’t be careless.” He said, “There’s a chance of there being hidden experts being in your world that they have discovered. Unless you’ve interacted with every expert from your world, you cannot rule out the possibility.”
“You’re right.” Grisha nodded, “I was a bit short-sighted.”
“But, you’re also right in saying that Dwun and Straxia would prove the most troublesome.” Compass Carburettor nodded, “Especially Straxia. She has been hyped up by even the Systems. And based on the data I obtained by spying on her, she’s indeed terrifying.”
Straxia was like a mixture of Compass Carburettor in terms of scheming, Rhizen in terms of foresight and luck, Chenger in terms of fighting prowess, Warktor in terms of leadership, and Shyvern in terms of manipulating the character of people.
She was a hotspot of many terrifying traits of humans, both good and bad. But that alone wouldn’t make her this terrifying. The reason she was terrifying was due to just a simple factor.
Curiosity!
Straxia had a curious nature. She was curious about everything and observed things with an unbiased outlook. And this unbiased outlook allowed her to arrive at the truth the fastest.
Moreover, the concept of being bored didn’t exist in her dictionary. She always found something interesting even in the most mundane of tasks. And that wasn’t all, her interest in any subject never waned, no matter how long she was engaged with it.
This was why she was perfect for every System.
An unbiased curiosity and a rate of interest that never faded or even diminished. Meaning, a System would obtain the maximum Mental Energy from her from day 1. There was no need to cultivate her as they did for the other System Hosts through Quests.
Straxia was curious and had the intelligence to fuel her curiosity.
And, she chose to land in a different Realm in the cultivation world. This was to first gather data regarding Compass Carburettor and then prepare a sure-fire method to kill him.
“Honestly, if both Chenger and Straxia had come at me at the same time, I would have died.” Compass Carburettor muttered.
“Maybe.” Grisha said, “Maybe not. If they had a guarantee, all the Luck System Hosts would have ganged up on you from the get-go.”
“But, there’s one reason for this right?” She spoke.
“Yeah.” Compass Carburettor nodded.
The reason was simple—Strength!
Velcorn, while at the Origin Refinement Stage was able to survive a chase for two days where hundreds of experts and even two powerhouses chased after him. He managed to kill five experts in this situation and injure countless others.
Even the two powerhouses sustained injuries as a result of his actions.
When he was capable of creating so much chaos while at the Origin Refinement Stage, what would he be capable of when he reached the peak of the Martial Providence Stage?
None of the powerhouses would be able to stop him. Anyone that hindered his path would be slaughtered.
This resulted in a simple status quo: The variables in the form of cultivators would be reduced to zero. None of the cultivators would be able to hinder the System Hosts once they reach peak cultivation.
So, Straxia’s plan was simple. Once she reached the peak, Compass Carburettor would have no other choice but to face her personally to kill her. Otherwise, she couldn’t be killed. No schemes or third party power would be effective against her.
And this would be true for all the System Hosts. So, their guarantee of killing him at that stage would be the highest than if they attempted to kill him at the start where the cultivators remained a variable.
Thanks to his innate luck, he would survive due to some lucky encounters.
Just as how he cornered his enemies before finishing them off, the Systems too planned to do the same.
Besides, in the upcoming race against time, some System Hosts would act as sacrificial pawns, sent to hinder his growth as much as possible.
In the meantime, the remaining System Hosts would try their utmost to reach the peak as soon as possible before invading the Gaider Realm en masse with the armies they have raised.
“Our time’s almost up here.” Compass Carburettor said, “Let’s exit the Realm before it sends us out forcefully.”
He planned to do this just in case there appeared a problem while sending him out of the Secret Realm. If he was either stuck here for some unforeseen reason or sent to some other foreign location, things would turn gritty.
Even though usually, being sent to a mysterious location from a Secret Realm was the bread and butter of Main Characters, such an action here would result in his death.
Compass Carburettor planned to tighten his web in the Gaider Realm and create a fortress. After all, it was the System Hosts that were in a hurry to kill him before the Apocalypse World loops.
So, playing defensively was the smartest option here.
“Before we leave, let’s ransack the rest of the resources here.” He said, “They’ll prove useful to raise our armies.”
He then summoned the Apocalypse World Compass Carburettor, harvesting the fusion material from all the Dolbas on the island. Of course, he didn’t kill them, for that would cripple part of what made the Folkan Secret Realm so special.
As long as the Dolbas continue to eat, they would regrow another fusion material soon enough. After all, they would be unharmed for another century following this.
After that, they made a speedy exit as Compass Carburettor stopped at the Imperial Treasury along the way, stealing all the remaining puppets.
He stored them in Grisha’s and Ranze’s storage bracelets.
After that, he entered the Essence Derby Palace, capturing all the Sparks using the Apocalypse World Compass Carburettor.
Content with all the arrangement, Compass Carburettor arrived at the Temperate Refinement Zone, stopping for a moment here.
