Chapter NaN: Shit!
Chapter NaN: Shit!
“I’ll wait. Give me your best shot.”
Upon hearing Dwun’s words, the Beast Lord snorted, feeling anger for being mocked like this. After all, none of his opponents ever dared to give him a breather, intending to kill him before his advantage accumulated to a certain extent.
Even if they all failed and were killed by him, the concept was still there. None of them dared underestimate him.
But now, Dwun casually awaited closer to a tornado, being constantly hit by the pebbles while he looked at him, motioning for him to hurry up.
“Just you wait. You won’t even have a corpse remaining once I’m done with you.” The Beast Lord snorted as the pufferfish began to suck in a tremendous volume of Origin Essence.
“It’s beginning.” A Martial Providence Stage cultivator from the Licalm race muttered, smiling as he looked at the Beast Lord’s actions.
There were boxes installed all over the stands, intended for the powerhouses to be seated while they witnessed the fights. Typically, all the powerhouses would be huddled in the Providence League to gain enlightenment through the fights of their fellow powerhouses.
But, since the match was between the star-ranked cultivator and a dark horse who was eyed by many for the past year, a lot of powerhouses had arrived to witness the spectacle.
Roar!
The pufferfish spat out a gigantic beast that spanned a height of ten metres, sporting massive horns that were shaped to resemble a helmet, protecting all the vital areas on its head and neck. It had wide shoulders, acting like pillars to anchor its massive frame.
The beast was a four-legged creature, a hulk of undead mass that charged straight at Dwun, releasing a toxic mist that empowered the other zombies and seemed like it would cause Dwun’s body to rot upon contact.
In response, Dwun punched forth nonstop, unleashing many shockwaves that slammed the heavier particles of the mist in the air, perfectly separating the two as the mist was condensed into a layer of water that splashed into one end of the arena.
“Wha…” The anchor was shocked at the scene, stupefied for words before shouting in excitement, “Did everyone see that? Dwun used sound to filter out the toxic mixt from the air. This level of expertise is unprecedented.”
Of course, as someone who had been using the same ability nonstop in the arena, Dwun had long since grasped the composition of the air through sound alone. And through the unleashed sound waves, he targeted the mist whose particles had varying density as compared to the air, filtering it out before compressing the most into a liquid that he splashed into the wall at the end of the arena.
Unfortunately, there were countless twisters in the arena, and one of them absorbed the toxic liquid, beginning to spread it around as mist gradually once again.
The arena worked against him this time. But of course, Dwun wasn’t concerned, unleashing three shockwaves that changed directions of two twisters, causing them to appear before the charging zombie beast, stopping its charge.
Grrr!
The zombie beast growled, waving its hands to swat away the twisters as countless pebbles slammed into it, not to mention the twisters trying to lift its limbs off the ground.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Dwun continued to run around the arena as he sent all the twisters toward the zombie beast, trapping it in the centre as the twisters joined together under his actions, turning into a massive tornado that lifted the zombie beast off the ground.
Moreover, the tornado began to move towards the Beast Lord as countless pebbles flew his way.
“Tch!” The Beast Lord snorted, commanding the rest of his zombie army to charge at Dwun as they spread out, unwilling to be targeted as a group.
Roar!
A tiger zombie charged at Dwun as he unleashed a shockwave that stopped its charge before punching forth, snorting to see a rhinoceros zombie arrive in-between them, resisting his attack thanks to its armour that absorbed all the shockwaves.
The tiger zombie leaped over it, scratching him with its claws.
Three scratch trails formed on the arm he defended himself with as Dwun could feel a searing sensation as if acid was poured on him, ‘So, all the zombies too possess this toxic substance.’
His muscles wriggled as all the injected toxic substance was expelled out of his body through the wounds automatically before the wounds healed themselves.
Healing wouldn’t be the right word in this situation as Dwun reconstructed the wound, like a sculptor adding clay to mend the damage in his sculpture.
Dwun ducked, evading the tiger zombie’s lunge, placing his palm on the underside of its belly to course his shockwave through its body before rolling out.
The tiger zombie landed on the ground, intended to chase after him when it suddenly collapsed flat, for all its bones had shattered into countless fragments.
‘Of course, I can do precision attacks.’ Thinking as such, Dwun continued to unleash attacks stably, not once hurrying his actions, recovering as much Origin Essence as he expended, maintaining his reserves at an optimal state.
After all, he was wearing his Martial Spirit on his hands. So, he was able to absorb Origin Essence while fighting. This was something he gradually became used to while fighting in the arena.
Suddenly, Dwun unleashed a powerful shockwave akin to a blast that sent him flying into the tornado, vanishing from view.
The Beast Lord had been running around all along, escaping from the tornado that continued to chase after him. Suddenly, it chucked out Dwun’s body at frightening speeds towards him, causing the two to clash with one another.
And at the moment of contact, Dwun erupted with an attack that transferred all his momentum into a shockwave, landing on the ground casually, watching the tornado collapse behind him as the arena returned to normal.
After all, the Beast Lord had splattered into countless body parts thanks to his attack.
But, even though he had won despite his luck being fully suppressed, Dwun wasn’t even in the least satisfied, cursing in displeasure, “This doesn’t even amount to a tenth of the pressure I might face from the Main Character.”
“Shit!”
