I Know The Secret To Surpass Level 100

Chapter 120 - I Will Serve You For Life

Elliot was amazed by the amount of the leap his stats went. So this was what Lance meant by how not all Level 100 are equal.

Some could have upgraded their Heart and their weapons to the maximum level, reaching the peak of the peak while others could still be starting out and is only starting to upgrade their equipment.

Whispers ans murmors woke Elliot up from his thoughts. Everyone was crowding around Connor and the stone tablet he was on.

"Elliot!" Lance called. "Come here."

Elliot ran to them and saw the Priestess Geneva sitting beside Connor's head.

"Elliot," the priestess called, panting. "Connor has completed his task now."

"What's happening?" Elliot asked.

"Cain is being surrounded and Connor needs your help," Geneva said. "Revive him now, Elliot. This is the only way to make him safe. His soul cannot flee the temple but my mortal body and Cain's can."

"Why is Cain there?" Midnight walked over and asked. "What does a Guardian from Alorde has to do anything with Inferno?"

"It's a long story," Geneva said. "Elliot, revive Connot. We cannot stand for long if we don't escape and with our situation now, we can't escape."

Elliot nodded and instantly kneeled in front of the stone tablet. He didn't actually know what to do but he felt like kneeling, so he did.

The air was filled with the sound of silence. Elliot looked around and saw everyone looking at him expectantly.

"I-I don't actually know what to do," Elliot chukled awkwardly.

"Use your skill like you would use any other skill," Geneva instructed.

Elliot stood and branished his sword, Ed holding him and grimaced. "Are you going to kill Connor thoroughly bro?"

"God, no," Elliot huffed. He shrugged Ed's arm away and pointed the tip of his sword into Connor's chest. "Revival of the Fallen."

A dark purple light emitted from the blade of his sword to the tip, injecting the aura inside the dead boy's body. A few seconds passed and Connor's eyes flutterrd open. He gasped and when Elliot felt that he was going to sit up, he retracted his sword.

"Elliot, what have you done?!" Connor growled. "I was helping them."

"But the Priestess told us to revive you," Elliot argued. "She's the one who told me to use my skill, even instructing me how to activate it."

"What?" Connor paused, thinking deeply. "But I was beside the Priestess when it happened."

"Foolish Terrans," the flame holographic form of Priestess Geneva said. "You're so gullible just like everyone else said."

"Who are you?" Elliot took Connor behind him and raised his sword threateningly at the woman.

The flames slowly dissipated, revealing the true form of the person.

"So easy to fool fools." A man came out of the flaming shell. "You don't exactly have to try."

"Who are you?" Elliot pointed his sword at the man, the others brandishing their weapons and followed Elliot.

"Jester!" an old Succubus cried. "What have they done to you, my grandson?"

"They made me even more powerful than before," Jester said. He stood and leaped back, distancing himself from the crowd around him. "I am Jester the Trickster. And I will burn everyone here for the Ruler!"

When Jester started to activate his powers, a whisper sounded from nearby. He was struck with a blanket-like air magic, restraining him from moving.

"What is this?" Jester yelled. "Get me–"

"Shut up," Luck said before covering the man's mouth altogether. "Annoying weakling. Why bother attacking us witha a very low magical reserve?"

Jester glared at Luck. He was saying something underneath the coiling wingds, but he couldn't let his voice out.

"You even scared me when that chick suddenly dematerialized. Damn," Luck sighed.

Lance walked over to Jester and conjured his ropes. Wrapping them around the man, he felt the sky darkening.

Before they knew it, a sonic boom echoed the realm and a man in flames had fallen down from the sky. He was hugging a girl as his body fell at an incredible speed.

"That's Cain!" Connor yelled. "And the priestess!"

"Cain can travel through dimensions?" Midnight gasped.

"Apparently, he can," Luck said.

They followed where Cain had landed when a woman was already standing over their direction. She was holding a pole with two ends having a fan-shaped water magic.

"I idolized you, Cain," Petra said. "I even tried learning the flame affinity for you."

"Who are you?" Elliot asked, brandishing his sword and pointed it at Petra.

Petra turned and tilted her head. "Why are there flies here? I think I'll just swat all of them at once."

Connor froze after hearing the threat. An Incubus handed him his weapons and he could only stare at them for a few seconds before shakily took them.

"T-Thanks," Connor said. "Guys, that's Petra. She's the daughter of the Ruler and the second strongest person below her father."

"What about Therese?" Lance aked. "The one I defeated. Wasn't she the strongest general?"

"Petra is not a General," Connor mumbled. "And she's the most special one among everyone in Inferno."

Petra rotated her weapon for exhibition once again. It seemed like this was her warm up before would fight.

"Let me show you how I defeated Cain!" Petra yelled and recoiled her pole. She glared at the group and was about to thrust her weapon out when it wouldn't move.

Petra scrunched her face and forced her weapon to go, but it wouldn't budge. It was then when she felt a tremendou and terrifying presence behind her. Red flames cackled from behind her, sparking as it slowly got closer.

"Who said that I was already defeated?" Cain whispered. "You're too full of yourself, horseface."

Petra kneeled, taking cut the third of her pole to be free from Cain's grasp.

"Wouldn't this affect your performance?" Cain mocked, raising the broken metal stick and burning it in his hands.

Petra growled and leaped, enlarging the one fan-shaped side of her weapon and tried to fan Cain's flames, but was ineffective.

This made Petra back away. She was gritting her teeth, unable to find a perfect escape route.

A ring of flames appeared on top of Petra. She looked up and grinned after seeing a hand reached out to her.

The girl instantly took it, grinning mockingly at everyone as she was slowly being held up.

"Goodbye everyone," she chuckled.

Cain's flames lit aflame as he leaped and rushed to Petra. Everyone could only watch as he clutched the girl's foot and snapped his hand, closing the portal.

Cain landed on the ground, throwing the lower legs of the girl in front of Connor.

"I could feel the strong sleeping aura of Abel inside you," Cain said and kneeled. "Avenge my brother and I will serve you for life."

"A-Avenge?" Connor stuttered.

Cain looked up with flaming eyes.. "I already killed his child, help me kill the Ruler next."
