Chapter 145 - Attack On The Royal Court (2)
The crowd had scattered throughout the entire building in panic. The two Vassals standing on top of the fallen debris started to move that prompted more panic.
"We're all gonna die!"
"Where are the Adventurers?"
"The Forest Folks have a seal in them. They cannot fight!"
…
"Strike warning!"
Their eyes could only widen as they heard the voice.
"Strike Warning Level, Double Alpha!"
"All Adventurers, proceed to the Royal Hall of Justice immediately! Lilith and Johnson will be coming in 20 minutes. Galaxia will come in 10 minutes. Hold out the threat until then!"
"So, we're the pawns," elliot chuckled. He raised his sword and assumed an offensive stance. "Then, brin it on."
Sora didn't waste any more time. She thrust her spear forward, her body moving with it as she dashed through the entire court and towards Elliot. Her movements were fast, as though she weighs nothing at all.
"Eliminating Target One," Sora said with a stoic expression.
Elliot blocked the attack but was slightly blown away. Sora's swift movements surprised him, didn't know she could move as quick. Her strong thrust worried Elliot even more.
It was a common practice to sacrifice one aspect of a fighting style to increase another. Woth Sora's speed, her strength should've been decreased. Yet it was though they were both balanced, scaring Elliot by how powerful she is.
"Hasty Aspire!" Elliot casted and dashed towards Sora. He was planning on attacking her head on, finding a weak spot. She should at least have a particular weakness with her fighting style considering both her Rate and Strength are equal.
Yet, it was though the woman was just strong and fast. Elliot could barely analyze where she is weak.
"Ed, help Elliot," Lance ordered. "You're more agile than Hope. Hope, evacuate everyone. Connor, let's take down the fire user."
The three nodded and proceeded to their plan. Ed, although slower than Elliot, was quicker than Hope. If Hope would be assigned against Sora, he would be at a great disadvantage. Even if he has more or equal strength with her, he was way slower. One attack from him are two attacks from Sora.
Lance and Connor relies on heavy offensive magic, enough to block and overpower Blithe. If they work together, the fight would be over not long after.
If they can keep their distance and combine their attacks, they were positive that they can defeat their opponent.
Meanwhile, with Hope's dragon form, he can easily create a path for the people to go to while protecting them with his wings. The hall was so big that even in his dragon form, he can still maneuver around without suffering setbacks.
"You know," Blithe said as he faced Lance and Connor. "I was always fascinated by you Terrans. Among all the Realms, you're the third ones to utilize a system to enhance your powers. Of course, three over six is still bad, but just enough to entertain me."
"Y-You use systems too?" Connor asked.
"Since I'll make use of you, flame user, I'm going to answer your question. And yes, we have our own system to level up and enhance our magic," Blithe answered. "Originally, Heaven was the first one to utilize such magic but then Hell entered the ranks and then Terra. Then the other three followed but they're not as good at it as us."
"You have your own system, and you also level up," Connor muttered. "Does that mean Malice is at Godly? With all her skills maxed out, that is."
"Godly?" Blithe tilted his head for a moment before he got what Connor meant. "Oh, well, we have different names for our ranks. C-class for the ones who can barely level up. They're levels 1-25, then followed by B with levels 26-40, A with levels 41-55, and then S with levels 56-75, SS with 76-99, and Malice herself, SSS, with level 100. I think we got that ranking from Heaven and then everyone else followed. All except Terra. I don't really know why. Maybe I should read more history books."
"So, all five Realms has the same system except for Terra?" Connor asked. "And why?"
"We don't have the same systems, you silly boy. That would only make things boring. Besides, our realms require different needs, different aspects, your system might not work well in another realm or vice versa," Blithe chuckled. "But enough with all that. Let's fight first. I'm going to take both of you and we will continue our talk in hell."
"As if," Connor said. "Infernal Morph: Ruler of Inferno."
"A new form?" Lance smirked. "Nice."
Lance raised his swords and slashed them, firing his black and white attacks continuously. Blithe on the other hand only raised a hand, blocking the attacks with a flat circle made of black flames.
"What a pity," Blithe sighed. He closed his hands and the flat flame circle reformed into a sphere. It gathered energy for a moment, enlarging before shooting towards Lance.
The latter raised his black sword, "Black Fortress!"
The black brick wall erected from the ground, blocking the incoming attack. Lance panted, feeling a drain in his energy. The wall he conjured slowly melted, his eyes widening at the sight.
"My flames melt even mana itself," Blithe said. "Just to let you know."
Blithe's attack continued to dash towards Lance. He crossed his swords, coating them with magic and blocking the attack head on. He made sure to saturate his magic with as muc mana as he can to prevent it from melting.
"Infernal Blazing Anguish!" Connor casted, shooting his attack to Blithe.
The man conjured the same flat circle in front of him. Only this time, the flames swerved slightly to the side, barely missing the shield and directly exploding in front of him.
"Hiya!" Lance spun and extinguished the flames with his powers. He covered them with black and white mana and compressed them. "Did we get him?"
"Almost," Blithe replied and suddenly came out from the dusts. He spun and covered his arms with flames, slashing the two in front of him. "But not really."
Connor used his sword to block both attacks, slashing a fan-shaped flames in front of him as a counter.
"Infernal Pyramid!"
The flames suddenly lifted up, forming a flaming pyramid that flipped to where Blithe was. The latter raised his arms beside him, opening his mouth and sucking up all the flames.
He wiped his mouth with his arm and burped like he just had a meal. A grin was formed in his face as he slowly walked towards the two.
"I can feel you two trembling," Blithe said. "But don't worry, I won't kill you."
He suddenly appeared in between them, draping his hands over their shoulders casually. The grin on his face widened, turning into a horrific contortion of his face.
"At least, I won't kill the flame user."
–
Ed and Elliot were having trouble against their enemy themselves. Even when they faced stronger enemies than them before, Sora was in a whole different level.
And to think that she still hasn't showed them her affinity. She was just using her physical strength, yet she was keeping up with them.
She's dominating the fight even.
"If this is all you Terrans got, then–" Sora suddenly stopped and turned to Ed. "Yet you're not Terran."
"I am the son of the previous Duke of Etheoria," Ed said proudly. "I am the destined Heir to rule the Realm. Got a problem with that?"
"No," Sora smirked. "Turns out, I need you."
Sora held her spear beside her, lifting it slightly before it disappeared from her hands.
Ed looked around to see where it went, "Where did it–"
He stopped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. When Ed spun, he paled at the sight.
Elliot was holding the tip of the spear, just barely making it through. The tip was almost going to pierce him. It was a puzzle for Ed and Sora herself how Elliot blocked the attack.
She was sure to put the right amount of strength for it to pass through him, yet the sound of the spear clanking on the marble ground says that something wasn't right.
"How did you managed to block that?" Sorra narrowed her eyes.
'Imperial Dragon Immunity Crest Activated.'
Elliot took a deep breathe as he felt his muscles relax. Though he saw the spear shooting towards him, his reflexes were to slow to dodge or block it. If it wasn't for the crest that created the shield, he would've said goodbye to his stomach.
"I think Malice would forgive me if I take both of you," Sora said. "What you did interests me. But could you do it again?"
In a blink of an eye, Sora was in front of the two. She took her spear and thrusted it through Elliot's shoulder, piercing it before slamming it to the ground. Elliot watched his arm fly off, activating yet his another skill.
'Flame Regeneration'
Ed spun and kicked Sora away while she was too busy looking at Elliot. She was blown back by a few meters but her composure did not broke.
Elliot's flesh and skin turned to the lava-like substance, patching themselves as he healed his almost amputated arm.
"That's really interesting," Sora laughed. "How could someone do that? Unless you're a golem, you can't do that."
'New skill < The Creator's Pride> gained.'
<< The Creator's Pride >>
// For the next 100 sedonds, the Creator is immuned to death. His HP will be replenished after the time an his next offensive spell will have a +30% power.
Sora spun and swung her spear to cut Elliot's head off. She could only gasp after her spear bounced back, as though she was attacking the strongest metal on all the realms.
Sora retreated, "What are you?"
