I Know The Secret To Surpass Level 100

Chapter 273 - Drunken Champion

Midnight raised his hand while his body was laying on the floor. "I'm okay!"

"It seems like Midnight is still okay," Irv said. "Let us continue!"

"H-Here are the tally of points!" Zia waved her hand and showed the screen for the points.

"This will be our final round for the day, tomorrow we will begin the fourth round," Irv announced. "Champions, better prepare and suit up. We will see you all tomorrow."

Without waiting for the crowd to go home first, the Azure Scorch team ran to where Midnight was. He was still laying on the ground without a shirt on. Elliot ran to his side and saw his droopy eyes and his flushed cheeks.

"Aki, how many did he drink?" Elliot gasped. "What in the hell?"

"He drank a bit," Aquarius replied and stopped. "Oh, my god. He drank two bottles."

"Two bottles?" Elliot gasped. He requested for George to carry Midnight since he wasn't able to do it. He was too small to carry a larger man. "Aki, you know Midnight can't handle liquor."

"I know," Aquarius said. "The man works in a bar with a hundred of bottles of liquor behind him and he can't even take two."

"Let's take him home first, and then let's help him rest," Elliot said.

They were about to walk down from the platform when the two hosts hovered over to them. Irv looked at the team and then at Midnight who was being carried like a bag of potatoes over George's shoulder.

"Is he okay?" Irv asked. "Is everything alright?"

"Everything is just fine, Irv," Elliot smiled. "Midnight has problems with social interactions. He can get very exhausted after being in front of a crowd."

"I understand," Zia nodded with a frown. "Standing in front of people can be so taxing at times. And sometimes, it can take on all your energy, so you feel drained after. It's so hard to adjust to it–"

Midnight let out a gurgling noise before he spewed out puke from his mouth. He was pouring out so much, it started to form a small pond of puke.

"Oh, my god," Zia gasped. "I never expected his social anxiety to be this worse."

"I never expected it either," Elliot gulped. "Well, anyway. It was so nice meeting you guys. We will go now and help Midnight."

"What about the puke–"

"Good night!" Elliot waved his hand and pushed his friends out of the coliseum. They immediately got down the stairs and into the streets. Lance excused himself from Frederick and Luck and followed the group, finding them amidst the crowd.

"That was way too close for comfort," Elliot said. "They almost saw how drunk Midnight was."

"I know," Ed grunted. "My body is still sore and I had to run down these stairs and into these streets."

"Aki, why didn't you heal him yet?" Minos quirked his brow up with a smirk on his lips. "You got any issues with him?"

Aquarius scoffed and walked over to Ed. The latter was confused for a moment, watching Aquarius place his hand on his eyes. "Aqua Replenish."

This made Minos laugh hysterically. He was holding his stomach by how hard he was laughing, "Oh, Aki. So gullible."

"Whatever," Aquarius huffed and walked away.

The others turned to Minos who had no choice but to speak, "He doesn't like brothels, including the people who work there and those who go there."

"I told you you should stop coming to those kinds of establishments," Connor whispered to Ed. "Even Aquarius hates them."

"And earlier," Minos continued. "That scene with Alexei was very familiar to him. He was an Alexei once. He thought he had the love of his life but then she started to sell herself because she needed money for her father's medicine or something."

"That's messed up," Lance whispered. He wiggled his eyebrows at the group who was surprised to see him, and casually joined in. "Frederick and the others went home already. So it's just me coming to dinner with you guys tonight."

Elliot nodded but returned his attention to Minos, "Minos, please continue."

"So then, starting from then on, he has the fear of being the smaller guy in the group," Minos said. "I mean, he doesn't want to be belittled. He doesn't want to be someone in the room without the highest achievements and the highest honor. You think he got the title God of the Seas for his peace of mind or something? No. He got it because he's insecure."

"And you're not?" Lance snorted. "I think Aquarius is just someone who doesn't like to have nothing to contribute to. He doesn't want to be in a room where he's the only one who can't support everyone."

"Thus his versatility of his skills. He want to be involved in everything, and he wants to know that he could trust his allies," Minos finished. "He's probably further away now. Let's go catch up to him."

The group followed their blue haired friend and found him sitting outside a cafe. He was holding a mug of coffee while sitting on a bench with a tree on the side.

"You guys go on ahead," Minos said, referring to the restaurant beside the cafe. "I'll go talk to Aki real quick."

His teammates nodded and walked inside the restaurant. They were discussing the event for the day after with the fourth round going on.

Minos was left to sit beside Aquarius. He took his friend's coffee and drinked a gulp, "What's up?"

"It's been two days and Cecile still hasn't showed up," Aquarius said. "I just saw a girl her age pass by. I'm just disappointed at my mother, that's all."

"I just think she's somewhere in the crowd," Minos chuckled. "I also don't want to disappoint myself even more, but the father in me kept hoping. I kept hoping that somewhere out there, in the large crowd, my daughter is watching my team."

"Daddy!"

They both snap their heads to the direction of the voice. Cecile was running towards them, her maid was behind her and four tank-y Adventurers followed.

"My baby girl!" Minos kneeled and opened his arms, letting the girl run up to him and hug him. "I missed you, baby."

"Daddy, I've been watching your teammates fight," Cecile said. "They are so amazing, daddy. I want to grow up and become strong like you."

"Your grandma will never let you," Minos ruffled her hair. "Tell you what, tomorrow, I feel like daddy's gonna be the one fighting. Do you want to watch?"

"Yes, daddy! You better beat them to a pulp!" Cecile cheered. "Uncle Aquarius, have you eaten yet? I want you to eat."

"A-And that is the end of r-round four…" Irv finished, his words almost incoherent with all the stuttering. His eyes were widened and his body was gently shaking.

Minos fell to his knees and down to the ground, Daniel walking over to him and stepping over his back.. "Well, that was fairly easy."
