Chapter 316 - Gravity Woman
The trio from Elliot's party was about to help Lance while fighting Polschk when they felt a force hold them back. They all turned to the side and saw a woman with a spherical cloak standing and staring at them.
"Who are you?!" Connor yelled. "You don't seem to be an Adventurer."
"I don't like talking," Sybyl replied. She let her hand pass through the holes on the side of her cloak, clenching both her fists that made a strong wave of aura shot to Connor, Ed, and Hope. "Gravity Push!"
Another burst of force blasted from Sybyl. This time, the three boys had to hold on tightly because the strength of the force was strong.
There was an invisible yet powerful magic that comes out from Sybyl. The magic was sudden but strong, making it harder to block.
"I'll deal with her," Ed said. "The two of you, go help Lance."
"Are you sure you're gonna be okay?" Connor asked, looking at Ed then at Lance's direction. "You're going to be okay, right?"
Before Ed could speak, a large sphere of water appeared on top of Sybyl. The woman raised her right hand to stop the water from falling to her direction. "What the hell?"
The water slowly spun, forming itself into a vortex. The vortex was spinning rapidly, making Sybyl grunt and use both her hands to split the attack apart with her magic.
"We'll take care of this," Aquarius spoke from the other side of Sybyl with Minos beside him. "You three, you're the keys to win this war. You need to go."
"I know you can take her down," Connor grinned. "We'll leave this woman to you."
"No one shall leave!" Sybyl yelled. She thrust her hands forward and created a blue-violet sphere. The sphere blasted towards the trio's direction but it was blocked by a metal mallet.
"Go!" Minos yelled. He was powering his hammer up with lightning, coating the head with a large amount of mana that was trying to counter Sybyl's attack.
When his arm was getting tired of holding the sphere, Minos grunted and hit the sphere away like a ball. The attack was thrown into the air, hitting the Zodiac Sphere and created a crack.
"How powerful was that?!" Minos gasped. He turned around and gestured the three to go. "Hurry up and help Lance! What the hell are you still doing here?"
Without any more options, Connor, Ed, and Hope had to run away. They knew how strong Aquarius and Minos were even when facing a strong enemy like Sybyl. They were just nervous about how Aquarius and Minos defeat her.
After all, she broke Jameson's Zodiac Sphere with a snap of her fingers. She also cracked Isabelle's Zodiac Sphere with just one attack. The woman was a dangerous foe.
"I don't particularly like old men," Sybyl said. "But you shall do."
She extended her arms and suddenly brought them both together. Aquarius and Minos felt a strong pull towards Sybyl. Their body felt like they were getting pulled to her like magnet.
"Fight it!" Aquarius yelled. "She's using gravity and magnetic magic. She can pull and push in all directions."
Aquarius had a small puddle of water under him. He was using this puddle to connect his foot tightly so he could stick and not get pulled.
"I figured that out," Minos said. When he felt the pull was getting stronger, he slammed the head of his mallet through the ground, piercing it. He held on to the shaft of his weapon while Sybyl tries to pull them close to her.
"You're both annoying," Sybyl whispered. "This is why I hate old men."
"We're not that old!" Minos yelled. When he felt Sybyl's magic was deactivated, he pulled his mallet from the ground and swung it for a few times over his head. He was charging his magic with every spin the mallet makes, the stronger the attack gets.
Sybyl grit her teeth and pointed both her palms at Minos. She conjured another sphere with the blue violet color, firing it to Minos before he could use his attack.
She was a second closer to casting the spell when a hand made of water got on your way. The hand pulled her right arm down, making the sphere vanish and making Sybyl get angry. "You filthy–"
"Lightning… Strike!" Minos yelled. He raised his mallet and shot a thick lightning towards the air. The lightning formed a cloud, gathering magic particles in the air before forming a circle mark on Sybyl.
"What is this?" Sybyl gasped when she realized. The woman looked up and saw a large lightning shot towards her. The lightning was so strong that it shook the ground beneath it, something everyone on the stadium felt.
The part where Sybyl was and where the lightning struck was filled with a large forcefield and no enemy deaths. Sybyl was inside, arms raised while trying to protect herself from the attack.
"She formed a forcefield using gravity magic," Aquarius thought intently. "If she can do that, she can have an invincible shield."
"It doesn't have to be invincible," Minos spoke from beside him. He placed his hand on Aquarius's shoulder and squeezed it. "With enough power, we can break it."
Aquarius smirked and shook his head, "Now you're giving me the pep talk?"
Sybyl deactivated her shield and glared at the two men. She was muttering something under her breath that Aquarius and Minos couldn't pinpoint what it was. Suddenly raising her hands in the air, Sybyl's cloak opened up, revealing her body.
Her entire body was covered with a thick tissue paper. It started from her chest, down to her feet. Sybyl smirked as she watched the two men look at her body.
"Are you both getting interested?" Sybyl asked seductively.
Aquarius scoffed and rolled his eyes, "You look like a mummy. I'm not impressed."
Minos laughed at his friend's comment. He held his stomach while continued laughing loudly. "Aki, that was a good one."
"Come Closer," Sybyl gestured her hand to Minos and recoiled it, as if she was pulling a rope.
Minos felt a stronger pull than Sybyl's previous magic. His body felt like it was being pushed from behind, like a large strong hand was pulling him closer to the woman.
"You dare laugh at my body?!" Sybyl yelled. "Well, let me show you what this angel can do."
Sybyl raised her hand that made Minos float in the air. The man held on his weapon tightly, feeling the force of Sybyl's magic all over his body.
"Bring Down," Sybyl whispered and slammed her hand to the ground. Minos yelled while his body was also getting slammed to the ground, the impact instantly knocked him out cold.
"Now that he's gone, it's just you and me," Sybyl grinned at Aquarius. "What can you do now, water boy? Your lightning friend had already fainted."
"Honestly…" Aquarius stepped out of the puddle and let his hand pass through it. "He wasn't really much of a help in the first place."
Aquarius pulled out a golden trident from the small pool of water. The trident spewed out a small sphere of crystal clear water encircling around Aquarius.
"Let me show you, the power of the God of the Seas."
