I Know The Secret To Surpass Level 100

Chapter 322 - The Hornbearer's Plan

Alice didn't know what happened to Elliot. She was unconscious when the boy blocked the beam that was meant to kill her, but there was a feeling inside of her that was screaming for her to find him.

"Elliot?" Alice tried to call out, waiting for Elliot to appear. "Elliot, where are you?"

Thinking he was in the battlefield, Alice stood with her remaining energy and sought out for the boy. She had seen him survive from worse situations before, she knew that Elliot was still safe.

Alice walked around the bleachers so she could have better vision of the stadium. There were bodies of bald people littered all across the streets, but barely any Adventurers. She was also wondering why the bald people wore the Son of Heaven cloaks.

This led to Alice thinking that the enemies are too strong for them, and the Son of Heaven followers who tried to help them were all defeated. "What is this?"

As she roamed the ruined seats full debris, a female guild mate ran to her. "Miss Alice! Where have you been?"

"I was–"

"Miss, there's no time," the girl said. "Azure Scorch's Guild Master sent a search party for you. He said he needed you as soon as possible."

"What is happening, Leane," Alice took a step back and looked at the girl in the eyes. "What does Azure Scorch's master want with me?"

"They needed a healer."

Outside of the stadium, on the island that was still inside the Zodiac Sphere, a camp was built. This camp served as the infirmary for the wounded Adventurers.

Alice was led to the end of the camp where the ones with the most severe wounds were located. Leane, her younger guild mate bowed and left saying she had another task to do.

"Hello?" Alice asked. The camp was built from sticks that served as stands and blankets as walls. The white blankets were tied both up and down the sticks tightly, making them look firm.

Right in front of her was a blanket that wasn't tied to the bottom of the sticks. She lifted the blanket and saw a table inside. Around the table were the guild masters, all in deep thought.

"Alice!" an old man called up to her. He walked closer to the woman and hugged her tightly. "I thought you were hurt. How did you get here?"

"I sent people," Frederick replied. "It was urgent so I didn't have the time to inform you, Kirk."

"T-That's okay," Kirk replied. He placed his hand on Alice's back and led her to one of the empty seats.

Jester, Galaxia, Elizabeth, and the other high ranking Adventurers were all inside the make do room. Alice was wondering why she was needed when she realized that she was now one of them, she was now one of the strongest.

"Alice, we have a big problem in our hands," Kirk said. "The Trinity was taken. Our goal here is to find them while the others fight Oracion Alma and the Fallen Angels inside the stadium."

"What?" Alice tilted her head. "But you gathered all the strong ones, how will the Adventurers inside the stadium survive both opposing groups?"

"They do not necessarily have to survive," a voice spoke from outside the blanket Alice passed through. There was a hand that lifted the blanket and a head peeked inside.

All the Adventurers stood, bowing their heads as the man with slender figure, grayed out hair, and a pair of square glasses entered. "We need the Trinity or else we'll lose the faith of the people. The Son of Heaven will collapse, the justice system will crumble, and the people will be swerved by the outsiders."

This man was Sivis Parvell. There was a law in Avancia that when none of the three members of the Trinity, the King, the Raven Justice, and the Holy Crow was fit to rule the kingdom, another force must be able to hold all the power.

This title was called Hornbearer, and Sivis was the current holder of the title. Sivis was, at the present, the head of Avancia. He holds all the laws and all the decisions.

"What about the Twilight Bless?" Alice asked. "You know we can't handle that power, Sivis–"

"The horn was sounded not five minutes after the Trinity was taken," Sivis shut Alice up with a glare. "And that is Your Excellence. You dare call me only by my name when you're nothing but a filthy Adventurer. How daring."

"Y-Your Excellence," Kirk cleared his throat. "We should be taking care of the problem at hand. "We will organize a search party to find the Trinity within Solaguer–"

"No!" Sivis screamed. It was then that Alice knew what the affinity the Hornbearer holds. His scream held force and pressure with a sliver of magic was added like an attack. "You shall all listen to me! Search the entire kingdom for the Trinity. I do not care if you have to pull out all Adventurers inside that stadium. We shall search for them!"

"What about the Twilight Bless?" Frederick asked. Everyone gasped when they saw him in his seat with both his legs crossed above the table.

"Who are you again?" Sivis walked closer, slamming his hand on the table. "I asked you, who are you?"

"Just a man," Frederick replied with a smirk. He fetched a cigarette from his pocket, flicking his middle finger and lighting a small flame on its tip. "You already handicapped our chances of winning because you pulled out all the strong Adventurers outside the war. Now you're expecting to pull out more?"

"Polschk lied to us," Sivis said with a silent tone. "He must be lying about the Twilight Bless and all this Twilight War to distract us from their kidnapping of the Trinity–"

Sivis was cut off when Frederick laughed loudly. He took his feet off the table and placed his elbows on the table, "You really think Polschk kidnapped them? What does he get by doing so?"

"I–I…" Sivis was speechless.

"You, however have an ulterior motive," Frederick smirked. "You're just taking the opportunity of a lifetime, right? Using all this chaos to your own benefit, the afterlife has reserved a seat for a dunce like you."

"That is a serious accusation against a high-ranking personnel of the kingdom!" Sivis yelled. He pointed at Frederick with nothing but anger in his face. "Seize him!"

He was waiting for anyone to follow his orders, growling after no one listened to him. Sivis looked at the Adventurers, only to see them bow down. "What are you all doing?"

It was then that Sivis felt three familiar auras behind him. One of the people clear his throat, making Sivis gulp in fear.

"Sivis," King Leopold sighed.. "Go to hell."
