Chapter 354 - Return
As the Armageddon raised both its arms, preparing for an attack, the Aventurers could only watch helplessly as they felt the charge of power come from the Armageddon's arms.
Just when the Armageddon swung its arms, a part of the rubble explodes and a figure flashed from the explosion in a blink of an eye. It was so fast that no one could barely see what happened, or what came out of it.
They could only feel the swift powerful aura pass through the Armageddon, stopping above it while holding it sword tightly.
The beast made a croaking sound and started to tremble. A large wound appeared on its body and blood gushed out from the wound like a river. The man hovering above it took a few spins before he raised his right feet above his head and slammed it right on the Armageddon.
When his metal boots reached the Armageddon's skin, a loud sonic boom erupted. The Armageddon's body was kicked down with such a large force that it created a crater down below.
It was an impossible feat. How could such a person exist. The Armageddon survived the attack from the most powerful Adventurers in the land, yet it took a single slash for a man to wound it and another kick to seal its death.
They watched the man levitate in the air. It wasn't doing anything, but stand there like it didn't just take down something that defeated the group of powerful Adventurers.
"That sword…" Connor trailed off, looking at Lance who had the same shocked expression in his face. "Lance, could it be?"
"Elliot!" Lance yelled. "Elliot!"
"Is that real Elliot?" Ed asked. "He looks different."
"Look at his height," Connor managed to blurt out. "That height is Elliot-standard. That man is him!"
Elliot looked and felt different. In his form now, his hair was white, and his skin was gray. His eyes were covered by a drape of his hair, but anyone could see the glowing red eyes underneath.
There was also a pair of sharp red horns in his head, curling from his temple and trailing back to his head like it was his crown.
He lost his shirt and his body was now covered with scars. His dark gray skin made the scars look almost invisible, but their sheer size made it seem like they were there for display.
Perhaps the biggest part that was different from Elliot was the large head hovering beside him. It was a face of a middle-aged man with a sharp nose, thick eyebrows, and a wide grin on his face. It had a dark gray hood over its head that only showed the face and covered the rest of its head.
The hood was connected to Elliot's sword like it was a shadow coming out from it. The head had eyes with orbs that were red in color. Like Elliot, the orbs were glowing and the light trailed in the air when it moves. The mere sight of him looked very disturbing to most of the people below.
"Elliot!" Lance yelled, trying to get his attention. "Elliot, eyes over here!"
With a cracking sound of his neck, Elliot looked down and saw Lance grinning back at him. His eyes remained with the growing red color, while he didn't make any move after turning his head.
"What's he doing?" Connor asked. "He looks so creepy."
With a single flash, Elliot appeared in front of them. He raised his sword and swung the blunt side, hitting Connor and Ed at the same time. The two flew from the impact, barely having the time to react.
"Mr. Moon, what are you doing?" Hope morphed back into his human form and ran to Elliot. "We're your friends!"
Elliot turned to him and pointed his palm at the boy. A black orb with red electric sparks tracing around it formed in his palm, shooting it at Hope who barely managed to block the attack.
The boy swung his giant sword and activated skills to help him block the attack. He was low both in stamina and mana, so it didn't take long for him to be thrown back by the force of the attack.
"What are you doing Elliot?" Lance called out. "This isn't you."
"Of course, it isn't him," the head finally spoke. He grinned and looked at Lance's helpless face. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Irus, the Seventh. I am the Sin of Wrath. I claim this boy as my host for acquiring the book that held me as prison."
"Held you as prison– I don't understand," Lance spoke. "That's our friend's body. Stop now or I will take it back by force."
"You couldn't even beat that petty beast," Irus laughed with sarcasm coating his voice. "How will you able to defeat the one that killed it with one strike?"
"Elliot, I know you're in there," Lance said. "Listen to me, Elliot."
"Too late, Terran!" Irus yelled.
Elliot raised his sword and charged it with a black and red aura, ready to slash it any second now. Lance was preparing to block the attack when Elliot appeared in front of him out of nowhere. The lattee swung his sword and fired a destructive slash in a close distance.
Irus, the one who was controlling him, wasn't giving Lance any time to react or defend. The prince could only cross his swords and charge them with as much power that would suffice the opposing attack.
"Oh, you can still stand," Irus chuckled. "You're strong."
While Lance was doing his best to block the slash, Elliot emerged from it. The boy slashed his sword that Lance managed to dodge by tilting his body to the side. He raised his swords that had Elliot in between and threw it above him.
"Why are you doing this? Aren't you from the side of humans?" Lance asked. "The Sins told us everything. You shouldn't be doing this. Stop it, please."
The slash vanished from the air, revealing Elliot inside. Irus was still beside him, the grin was now wiped out from his face.
"I was on your side," Irus said.. "But right after I helped you seal the other Sins, you killed my beloved mother and sealed me too."
