Chapter 380 - Age Of Paradise
Sayu groaned as she felt the power of the Maiden seep through her skin and dug its way into her flesh. There was a gush of the pale purple mana coming from the giant statue and made its way to Sayu who was now kneeling on the ground.
The woman hugged herself, feeling the intense euphoria running through her veins and the power of the Maiden to weave into her soul. Her eyes fluttered, barely open as the mana wrapped around her body.
"This is it," Sayu moaned. "This is her power! This is the power of the Amethyst Maiden and its mine now!"
"Not on our watch!" Elliot yelled. With his blazing red aura, he charged his sword and leaped right over the woman. "Enhanced Lotus Blast!"
Elliot slashed his swords with multiple times in under a second. He fired all the eight lotus petals who were now enhanced through the power of his Supreme Malevolence.
Sayu gasped after seeing the attack approach her. She raised her hands in front of her before the attacks rained down upon the woman.
The explosion from the attack along with the dust from the ground clouded over Sayu. They all approached her, feeling her presence that vanished in the middle of the attack.
"Is she gone?" Connor asked.
Before anyone could answer him, a beam of green light was fired to their direction. Lance put up his black fortress to block the attack, which barely held on after receiving a devastating blow.
"You think…" Sayu trailed off. "You think I'd easily die from such measly attack?!"
The woman shot herself outside of the smoke. She was now much larger than she was. With her five meter statute, Sayu towered over anyone in the room. "I am Sayu of the Illusion Mountains. I have lived my life as an illusionist before my Emperor found me."
She clasped her hands together as if she was praying. The group tried to fire their attacks at her but a gust of green wind stopped them from casting their skills.
"Age of Paradise!" Sayu yelled and raised her hands above her. In between her palms was a green spinning orb that she crashed by slamming her palms together. "Oh, light of the One True Sun, bless me with the light through the Maiden andet these mortals perish with my wrath!"
Out of nowhere, a pink lotus flower made of mana blasted Sayus hands off. The woman yelled in pain after she saw her hand drop to the ground, blood spilling on the soil. "What?"
"Amazing!" Ed cheered. They all looked at Elliot who had his sword raised. His blade was still smoking after firing the attack. He felt like Sayu still had a trick up her sleeve, so he saved the final blow when she pulls it.
"Were not going to be your prey, Sayu," Elliot said. "We came here as diplomats to connect the East and the West, not as mercenary to fight a war that is not ours."
"You dont understand anything, kid," Sayu chuckled. "To connect the East and West, you either have to join us or behead our Emperors. But then again, if you manage to defeat the Emperors, your reign will have no roots. We have been ruling over the East for years, you cannot please the people here with your ways."
"So?" Connor quirked his brow and took out both his weapons. He slammed his staff on the ground, igniting the head with his flames and used it like a witchs broomstick like he did before. He hovered over the giant woman and pointed his sword at her with both his hands. "We'll just make them obey the rightful emperors then."
He summoned an orb made of flames at the tip of his sword. Connor then fired the orb to Sayu who only smirked. The smirk got wider and wider as the flames got closer.
"You're all such petty humans," Sayu chuckled. She opened her mouth and swallowed the flames, making Connor gasp in shock. Her lips became the size of her entire face and her teeth became large and sharp. "Devour!"
Connor gasped after seeing the woman swallow his attack like it was nothing. His orb of flame was swallowed by Sayu with a single gulp.
"Thank you for the meal," Sayu snickered. She wiggled her body like she was being tickled and the flesh from her amputated arm grew back. She regained her missing limbs in just a matter of seconds.
"She's not just an illusionist," Lance said. "She's a threat."
"But how do we defeat her?" Hope asked. "She can just make another illusion."
"We have to fire an attack that's fast and destructive," Lance placed a finger on his chin. "Elliot managed to wound her with his Lotus Blast because she didn't anticipate the attack."
"Err, Lance?" Connor called out from above. "I don't think that's our only problem now."
Right in front of them was Sayu cloning herself. Another complete copy of the woman would appear on either side of a copy. The cloning stopped once all the giant women had surrounded the group.
"She's so good with illusions that we can't detect her," Elliot said. "She had completely hid herself within her clones who all have the same aura as her."
"Let's just take them down one by one then," Ed yelled. He brandished his sword and dashed into one of the clones. He leaped off the ground and raised his sword, preparing to attack when he slammed his face right on a flat wooden surface.
"A crate?" Ed asked, feeling the wooden crate in front of him. "Guys, why is there a wooden–"
When he turned around, his friends were gone. He was left alone with a crate in the middle of the cirle of giant clones of Sayu. They were now walking closer to him one step at a time like the undead, making Ed's body shiver with fear.
"This is not fun!" Ed yelled, running to one of them clones to hit her. He slashed his sword to one of the woman, but hit another wooden crate. With a blink of his eye, he was back in the middle of the circle.
"Offer to our emperor," they clones chorused in a monotonous, lifeless voice. "Our emperor who rules the South East. We offer this human."
With shaking hands, Ed he attempted to pierce his sword through the ground. When he felt a soft material under him, he retracted his weapon before it could reach lower. "What was that?"
He patted the material with the tip of his sword and casted, "Nullify."
Ed fell to the ground after seeing Viper there. His sword managed to hit Viper's arm who now has a hole in it. The kid was still unconscious, but the blood coming from his arm was flooding around his body.
"What?" Ed asked himself. "What is he doing here?"
"Sacrifice," Sayu's clone whispered. They were now huddled around the two while spinning around then in a circle. "We need a sacrifice."
"Stop!" Ed yelled. He slashed his sword to one of the clones, but felt another flesh rip from his own weapon. "No!"
Blood ooze from the empty space in front of him. Slowly, a body was revealed, making Ed lose his balance and make his body and sword fall to the ground.
"Elizabeth?"
