I Know The Secret To Surpass Level 100

Chapter 400 - The Maiden Moved

The two boys walked around the large maiden. They could only get about five feet away from it. Any closer and it would feel like their skin was getting peeled off.

"The bunker leads to the storage basement," Ed looked at Connot who seemed to have the same thought running in his mind. "There's food here."

Ed was about to return to the vault when Connor pulled his wrist, "But we're not sure if the storage was real or just an illusion."

"It's real," Ed flashed his bright purple marble-like orbs and blinked for it to go away. "I can see things nobody else sees."

"Okay," Connor nodded. "Let's go."

The two boys ran back to where the people were and told them about the basement. They were here before, so they knew where the food was being kept.

"These are from the kingdom's storage hall," Seitan said. "How dare they keep these in this filthy basement?"

"No time for that, sir," Connor said, walking to a hall filled with food. "Let's get you something to eat first."

While Connor and Ed distributed food, a shadow went past the letter's peripheral vision. He looked to the side and felt a presence looming around the corner.

"Hey, Connor," Ed called out. "Where was the Crystal Maiden?"

Connor's eyes widened. "Oh, lord. I completely forgot about her."

"Follow me," Ed said and ran to where he felt the presence.

"Rowena?" Connor called out, looking at the now conscious warrior. "Please keep an eye on them. Corry can help you sort out."

"Got that," Rowena nodded and let Connor and Ed run.

"What do you feel?" Connor asked, but Ed shushed him.

"Listen first," Ed whispered.

They got near the Amethyst Maiden where they heard incoherent words being spoken by a female voice behind it. They walked around the statue and found the unknown Crystal Maiden there, placing her hand on the Amethyst Maiden. The fact that she can get near it, made it clear that she was a powerful person.

"What are you doing?" Ed yelled.

The woman, who's face was still covered with the hood, didn't pay any attention to him and continued. The boys got closer and the woman seemed to quickly finish her chant. When Ed was about to reach out his hand, the Amethyst Maiden burst with light.

Kaminari kneeled on the floor while holding his best friend's body. He placed him gently to the ground and walked to Sayu. He was crying loudly, mourning the death of two of the most important people in his life.

Elliot felt a gentle breeze around him. He looked around and saw that a small vortex of wind was encircling him, making him unsheath his sword and raise it defensively.

"No, wait!" Kaminari yelled. "That's the Air Master's power. It's looking for a suitable Heir."

"Heir?" Elliot quirked his brow up in question. But before Kaminari could reply, the wind got stronger and stronger until it lifted him off of the ground. "What in the hell is happening?"

Kaminari looked around, "There's no other person here except you. When it was looking for an Heir, it found you as the most suitable person."

"What?" Elliot gasped. "Are you sure this is not just an attack–"

'Air Master powers seek to find an Heir and found you. Accept?'

"Oh," Elliot pursed his lips after seeing the notification flash in his Console. "That makes sense."

He pressed Yes that made the winds blow stronger and stronger until he was high up in the air. The vortex slowly had red mists joining it, like the attacks made by Angin.

'Congratulations! You have gained a new title and three new skills.'

Title: << Air Master >>

[ << Feather Bombardment >>

Cost: 2,500 MP (activation), 1,000 MP (per attack)

// The user will be lifted in the air and can shoot massive exploding air spheres in an area. The activation lasts for 10 seconds.

! There is no limit with the number of strikes in the 10 second duration as long as mana requirement is met. ]

The first skill looked mana draining. In the fight of Angin, he didn't even use this skill so it must not be worth it.

[ << Triple Sky Slash >>

Cost: 6,000 MP

// The caster will strike three crescent-shaped attacks. When three successive attacks lands, the enemy is slowed by 50% for 30 seconds. ]

This attack was rather useful, yet still costly. The mana requirement was still high, but the effect is good. He can land all eight shots of his Lotus Blast, including the lotus flower. Three strikes would be easy.

At the same time, the slow effect is greatly advantageous. Elliot relies on speed, making it better for him if he can decrease their movement. He was liking the skills he got so far. Then again, the cost was also not great considering it barely has any damage compared to the Lotus Blast

[ << Winds Uprising >>

Cost: 300 AP

// When activated, all the mana cost of the other Wind Master's skills will be reduced by half for 30 seconds. ]

And the last skill was the best among the rest. A skill that greatly reduces the cost of the mana consuming skills. This was s very important skill, even though it's only exclusive for the Wind Master skills.

The Feather Bombardment and Triple Sky Slash was in no question ridiculously costly. Elliot could spam both the skills especially the former where he can shoot long distance attacks and deal great damage.

It then dawned him a possible reason why Angin did not use these skills. Maybe he didn't have any Arcane Points. AP was a magic currency that you don't get to see every day. Maybe he didn't even know what AP was.

"Elliot?"

The boy woke up from his thoughts after Lance called hid name. He was back on the ground and the wind that wrapped around him had vanished.

Kaminari ran up to him, "Are you okay?"

"I am," Elliot replied. From the looks of Kaminari, something should've happened. Elliot checked his body in case he's missing any limb. When he didn't, he asked, "Should I not be okay?"

"No, no," Kaminari shook his head. "It's just that, the first time a new Master gains the power, they usually would have a raging headache. Do you really not feel anything?"

"No," Elliot said. "I'm perfectly fine. Plus, I had dealt with more powerful magic before. My body can handle it."

"I see," Kaminari nodded. "I hope you take care of Angin's legacy. Before he got corrupted, he was a very nice guy. I was there with him since we were young, I should know how he is."

"Relax," Elliot placed his hands on Kaminari's shoulders. "I believe you. Now, let's go find your father and my friends–"

A large explosion sounded from nearby. The three turned their heads to a bright purple beacon inside the palace.

"The Amethyst Maiden," Kaminari whispered. "What could be possibly wrong with it?"

The three didn't waste any time and went straight to the basement. When they reached the stone cave that led to the basement, they saw the people run out.

"What's happening here?" Kaminari asked a random person.

"Master Kaminari," the woman cried. "T-The Amethyst Maiden… I-It was… It…"

"What's wrong with it?" Kaminari grunted. "Speak."

"It moved!"
