Chapter 93 - The Clash Of The Dragons Part 3
'When Eternals pass their powers to their Heir, they become faded.'
"Now, you're giving out free information?" Elliot rolled his eyes and returned his gaze at the scene.
Lance was still snobbing him, acting like he did not exist at all. He felt bad, but he knew why Lance acted this way. Hope had a special place in his heart and his reckless actions almost hurt Hope.
"This was not the first time," Elliot sighed.
Meanwhile, Liberator slammed his palms on Clan's head. He continued pounding his hands on the dragon's head, Clan groaning in pain every time his father's palm hit him.
"You f*cking c*nt!" Liberator yelled. "You took advantage of your brother's death and stole the Eternal Crystal from me and locked me up? You didn't think I'd break the seal after all these years, huh?"
A thin sphere had appeared on top of Clan's head. It was though Liberator was doing something with him.
"Father," Clan cried, morphing into his human form as tears fell from his eyes.
Liberator slowed down, "You're nothing but an *sshole who gets jealous all the time."
"But father–" Clan looked down and sighed. He then chuckled and looked at his father in the eye. "You're the dumb c*nt. Fire!"
Liberator's eyes widened. He slammed Clan's head one more time, the hardest of all his attacks, and a glimmer of light shined in the center of the sphere. He leaped and took the shiny object, keeping it in his hand as the dragons surrounding them opened their mouths and gathered their power.
Clan chuckled, rising in the level of his father and kicked Liberator in the middle of the circle of dragons.
"Goodbye, father," he grinned, waving his hand mockingly. "Somehow, I couldn't bring myself to kill you. But they could."
The dragons fired their attacks, targetting Liberator solely. But just when it was about to hit him, a large pair of wings covered him, turning and shooting towards the ground. Clan appeared on top of the descending dragon and pointed his palms at it.
"The Emperor's Destructive Blast."
A dark gray beam was fired from his palms, hastening the speed of Hope who crashed into the ground, forming a large crater and destroying the buildings nearby.
"Grayson!" Liberator yelled. "My dear grandson, why did you do that?"
"I need answers," Hope replied. "Why can we turn human?"
"You silly boy," Liberator caressed the dragon's chin. "Let's answer that later. But first, let me return to you what you rightfully own."
"You fool!" Clan had smashed himself on the ground. "I need that!"
Liberator ignored him, kneeling in front of Hope who was weakened by the attack and the crash. He was laying, breathing slowly.
"The Eternals do not possess the power in just our blood," Liberator said, opening his hand and revealing a gray gem in it. "One must need these gems to activate the genes of the Eternal in them. Clan stole this gem from your father so he could be the Eternal. But he did not have the right genes, the gem was rejecting him, making him crazy."
"What do you mean?" Hope asked. "He wasn't really crazy before?"
The old man shook his head in amusement. "He was, but he's gotten even crazier. Now that he became a Cannibal, he's even more crazy, and powerful."
Liberator walked over to Hope's head and placed the gem on top of it. He started chanting words in a hushed voice.
"Give that back!" Clan yelled, running towards them. He felt something coming towards him, so he backed off. Just when he did, the ground collapsed and fire erupted in it like a geyser.
"I was close!" Connor groaned.
"You missed!" Ed tsked and dashed towards Clan. Lance, who was yet to talk to anyone, was beside him.
"Don't interfere, Terrans!" Clan yelled and formed a claw in the air, shooting them to where the two were. "This is a matter among dragons. You have no right to step in!"
"You're in our Realm though," Ed yelled, blocking the attacks.
"You're not from this realm, so shut up," Clan grit his teeth and morphed his arms into dragon claws. "Grayson is my son and my son needs discipline from his father."
Clan screamed in the skies, making the other Dragon Emperors descend. He was still in control of them, his supremacy over his kind was still overpowering.
"I had absorbed a crazy amount of that gem," Clan smirked. "I can still keep up with my power even without it for a while."
"Terrans!" Liberator yelled. "Protect me while I perform the ritual. These lousy dragons did a half-*ss boost on Grayson, thinking it would work. F*cking retards!"
"I don't like him," Connor sighed.
The other Adventurers had surrounded Hope and his grandfather, since the dragons themselves had landed on the ground. It was a rest for Pommel too. He could now fight with them instead of focusing his power on making them float.
When the dragons started to gather their energy beams again, a large dome made of sand arose from the ground and covered everyone. The sand dome hardened, making it feel like rock. An egg-like sand formation also arose in the middle of the dome.
"I'm not late after all," Johnson said. He was carrying a heavily wounded Lilith in his arms, with two more children in his back. "I feel like I have a family now."
"There they are!" Eve yelled and dragged her brother towards Hope. She looked at Libetator who was channeling his energy towards the gem. "Sir, is this dragon the Dracon Eternal?"
"Shut the f*ck up, kid. Can't you see I'm doing something here?" Liberator cursed and ignored the children.
"Rude," Eve scoffed and walked back to where Johnson was.
"Healer!" Johnson yelled. "This dome can last against an Alpha Strike for at least a day, so hang on. Get me a healer for now."
"All the healers are outside," an Adventurer said. "We're just the strike team who had been picked by Pommel to fight the dragons."
"Are you kidding me?" Johnson groaned. "This is terrible."
"Here!" A short boy with a flask filled with dark purple contents inside raised his hand. "I have a healing potion."
Elliot walked over and handed Johnson the flask.
"Are you sure you're not underaged?" Johnson narrowed his eyes as he suspiciously looked at the container. "What's in this?"
"Green Beet Lemon, Pixie Bee Honey, and err, a secret ingredient that I can't say," Elliot replied, afraid that the man might reject the potion if he said the last ingredient was a kidney from a river alligator.
"Is it safe?" Johnson doubted, slowly offering his hand.
"He's my friend," Lance said, walking close to them. "Trust me."
"The Vice Guild Master of Azure Scorch," Johnson gasped and slightly bowed his head. "Of course."
The Adventurers started whispering to themselves about why a Guardian like Johnson would take an order from anyone. After all, Azure Scorch Guild wasn't as famous in Nefantine like it was in Alorde.
Johson took the potion from Elliot and made Lilith drink it. The latter's body glowed with a bright green color. There was a purple mist coming from her wounds that made Johnson tsk.
"Miasma?" Johnson sighed worriedly. "I didn't even sense it."
"It was so thin and miniscule that it goes under everyone's perception," Elliot said. "But since it has been a while since Lilith got these wounds, it had saved up and now it's taking effect."
"Thank you," Johnson said.
Adam and Eve walked over with Eve crying, "He's coming!"
"Don't worry, it would at least take him more than half an hour to get through," Johnson said confidently. "By that time, the other Guardian should reach here."
The children shook their heads, pointing at the top of the dome.
"He's there, gaining momentum," Adam said.
"He's at the top of the dome?" Johnson asked.
Eve shook her head, "No. He's at the sky!"
Just as the little girl finished her sentence, a huge boom echoed from outside. A hole appeared at the top of the dome with a figure dashing through it.
"He's here!" Adam and Eve gasped at the same time. "The Dracon Eternal!"
