I Love Destroying Worlds’ Plot

Chapter 342: 8.67 First Blue Star - Lin Yven's Past

Chapter 342: 8.67 First Blue Star – Lin Yven’s Past

Lin Yven obviously doesn’t feel like he could become someone like Xue Ying’s future partner. Their standing is different and they don’t have much interaction like what other couples have before they become a pair. He only secretly admired Lieutenant General Xue Ying as someone who had saved him before.

A long time ago, the Clan of the White Tiger had been one of the few noble clans. They are well known for their strength which could almost rival the power of the dragon race during a full moon. Most beasts were strong under the guidance of the full moon like werewolves. But a White tiger is another mythical creature like the dragons and phoenixes. Though they weren’t as high class as the first two races, the White Tiger and Black Turtle were quite well-known for being demigods.

As more time passes only the four great mythical beings had all died and only their bloodline was passed through time. When Oberion Empire is made, these four great bloodlines become the pillar of the whole Empire. They each possess bloodline skills which are unique to their race. The white tiger’s special skill is berserk transformation.

They can change a part of their body with the characteristics of a white tiger and use it to fight the others. The White Tiger is a mythical creature well-known for its speed and strength. Those descendants who are able to awaken their bloodline can use this kind of potential.

When Lin Tian and Lin Yven were born, as few of the direct descendants of the White Tiger race, they were supposed to be born with the ability to transform. The elders of the Clan were all looking at these two boys with hope glittering their eyes. There had been lesser descendants of the White Tiger Clan after the main branch had all died in the last Human vs. Zerg Battle to protect the Empire. Lin Tang was the only remaining one from the main branch and because of this, his descendants were treated as the leader of their clan.

Major General Lin’s son, Lin Velvet is a famous fighter in the Federation. His strength is beyond what a normal S-ranked Sentinels should have. But unfortunately, the White Tiger Clan to lessen the number of their enemies chose to stand at the sidelines and never once again took the step to be the one in the spotlight.

Lin Velvet had declined his promotion to the General position multiple times. The White Tiger Clan is afraid that the other clans might target their small clan for having a lesser number of descendants than the rest of the Big Clans. Even after merging the main and branch families the White Tiger Clan’s number is still lesser than other clans. If not for their special bloodline, their White Tiger Clan would definitely be removed from the list of the Four great clans of the Oberion Empire.

Lin Tian and Lin Yven were brought up with all attention and hope on their shoulders but as soon as they’ve reached the age coming ceremony only Lin Tian was able to awaken as a Sentinel. He was also born as someone with the purest bloodline of a white tiger in his veins. As the eldest descendant of the main branch, Lin Tian was already seen as the future heir of the Lin Clan.

On the other hand, Lin Yven is the opposite. He had never awakened like his brother. Instead, like his mother, he is born an ordinary person. He lost the attention he used to have after the day of his age ceremony. After learning that he is just an ordinary person, the elders of his clan had totally lost interest in him and were treated like he didn’t exist as someone from the main family.

His Grandfather, father, mother, and elder brother protected him from harm that came from the other. Their hurtful words, those disgusting gazes, everything was hidden from him. Until that day when his Grandfather and father had left for a mission and his Elder brother was out for training.

With only his mother on his side, those who held back their dislike on the two of them had all lashed out hurtful words and bullied them. With no one protecting them, there were even some that tried to assassinate Lin Yven.

Lin Yven was only in middle school at that time. He was only 13 years old when that happened. He was on his way back from home when suddenly a group of hooligans had pulled him over to an alley and pressed him on the ground. He was beaten until he couldn’t even breathe properly. His face was swollen and bruised and his voice was hoarse from screaming for help.

Lin Yven screamed while being punched and kicked, “Save me! S—Save… Me!!!”

Just when he thought he would finally be stabbed to death, a looming shadow had fallen over Lin Yven. Followed by a cold and irritated voice shouting towards them.

An angered yell was heard coming over someone, “You motherfuckers! What the hell are you doing!? Don’t hinder this Laozi’s mission!!?”

“Ouch! S-Stop… Do you not know who we are…”

“Fuck you! Laozi doesn’t care about you mutts. You made me lose sight of the boss!”

“URgh! Bastard! I will end you!”

“End your ass! You are just gangsters! Daring to molest someone in public! You are beasts!”

“S-Shut up! Mind your own business.”

“I’m minding it on my own! Since I already lost my boss, I will beat you guys up from pissing this Laozi~”

In the corner of his eyes, Lin Yven saw that person’s silver hair glittering under the sunlight. With a chill aura surrounding this person, he saw him beat up the hooligans who tried to rape and kill him afterward. Lin Yven saw how that man fights, he is trained and most likely a soldier. With half of his face covered, only those silver hair and eyes can be seen. This person is cadet Xue Ying.

He was on a mission with Altair Sirius to catch some escapees from the prison as their first mission. They were working as a pair but Altair Sirius at this time only does his mission alone. He will leave anyone who couldn’t follow his lead and sadly Xue Ying becomes that dead weight that was left alone.

In his rage, Xue Ying could only beat up these bastards that made him remove his sight from his boss and instantly lose him. If not because he heard Lin Yven’s shout for help he definitely wouldn’t be left alone. After letting off steam as he beat up these bastards to half death, Xue Ying finally remembered he was supposed to be the victim.

When he turned around he saw a child with bruises all over his arms and face and glaring at him with frightened eyes. What caught Xue Ying’s attention is the slender figure of the child and made him look a bit malnourished. He had even mistaken the child for a little lady.

“Girl, are you alright?” asked Xue Ying as he kept his distance.

The young child didn’t reply but Xue Ying noticed the cut on the corner of her lips which she got from being punched on the face.

“Shit! What the hell are these bastards?! Beating up a girl. There is a problem with their heads!” exclaimed Xue Ying to himself as he looked all over his pockets at the healing concoction the Federation distributes to all soldiers. As a cadet, he was only given a 3 low leveled and 1 mid-level Healing potion. He found one of the low leveled potions and rolled it towards the terrified child.

“Drink. It will heal your injuries. Moreover, go home straight. The alleys during the night are dangerous,” warned Xue Ying before taking his leave to look for his boss who heartlessly left him. Before he left, he heard a soft yet low voice telling him, ‘Thank you for saving me, Big brother’. A smile appeared on Xue Ying’s face which is totally opposite of his freezing aura. He took his leave and disappeared in the corner like how he had suddenly appeared.

Not long after, a shuttle stops at the other end of the alley and the figures of Lin Velvet and Lin Tian come out of the car. They run over to where the locator says the youngest is. They were astonished by the fact that when they got home, they saw a group of men beating up the lady of the house. Just before they killed her, the main members of the Lin Clan had returned home.

Lady Lin had begged her husband to look for their youngest child. She heard from those men who tried to kill her that they had also sent men to assassinate her youngest son.

“Yve!!” Yelled worriedly when he saw his youngest brother’s current appearance. He couldn’t stop himself from hugging his brother as he felt guilty leaving his mother and brother alone in that cruel clan. He should have stayed with them. Thinking of this, tears couldn’t help but fall from Lin Tian’s eyes.

With a hoarse voice, Lin Yven whispered, “Don’t… cry. I’m… fine, gege…”

With trembling arms, Lin Yven hugs his big brother. Though he knew that they weren’t at fault, the sufferings he and his mother had suffered for a whole month left him a bit traumatized. Because of this, the main branch of the Lin Clan had to once again separate the branch family and ask them to live on their own. There were some angered voices from the crowd but they were all put down once General Lin was enraged and almost killed the rest of them.

The Lin Family tried to ask Lin Yven who saved him but the child said he didn’t say who it was. All the child said that the person who saved him feels like the snow. Cold yet beautiful.

Back to reality, Lin Yven told Feng Jing some details about his past. The details were a bit vivid but it is enough for someone else to imagine how a younger version of his elder cousin, Xue Ying, saved a 13-year-old Lin Yven.

“At the time, I didn’t know that he was Lord Xue Ying until I saw him on the Star Network standing beside Marshal Altair smiling as he had always been,” said Lin Yven. “At that time he keeps calling me, little lady that I wish to beat him up with but my body is too weak to fight back.”

Feng Jing felt into some thoughts as a certain recollection from the original Feng Jing flashes through his mind.

“Is it the hidden alley near the All-girl middle school?” asked Feng Jing.

Lin Yven said, “Yes, I need to walk past that middle school for girls on my way home. I didn’t expect I would get ambushed in that place as well. Normally, there would be patrolling guards in that place but only afterward, I learned that the middle school was closed for two days because of the serial murderer who had escaped from prison. I was lucky myself not to bump into the murderer itself.”

“At that time the officials were hiding the news about the escaped murderer to avoid pain from the masses. But it seems that someone from your Clan had taken that as a chance to kill you and blame the murderer for your death. Ying-gege and Sisi were on that mission, to capture them back and… If I remember it right, Sisi seems to want to beat up Ying-gege for suddenly separating from him during the mission and having to come back to get him. They were both penalized,” said Feng Jing.

Lin Yven said, “Then he must have really heard my yells for him to ignore his own mission.” When saying this there is a small smile on his face as if he is extremely happy that the person he likes indeed is a good person.

“By the way, Yven I also heard…” Feng Jing whispered the rest of his words to Lin Yven’s ears and the contents had made the latter blush uncontrollably.

Lin Yven couldn’t help but cover his crimson face with both hands as he could hear Feng Jing laughing beside him. This was the scene that Solaris Vega had witnessed after he got out of the bath and left him bewildered.

Hahahaha~

“Did I miss something fun?” asked Solaris Vega.

Feng Jing responded, “Well~ you should ask little miss fairy here about it~”

“My lord!~” called Lin Yven as he knew that his lord was teasing him.

Lin Yven ran into the bathroom as soon as he saw Solaris Vega get out.

Solaris Vega murmured, “Can’t you just tell me what happened?~”
