In S City, the government officers arrested the rioting refugees in the villa district and detained them in a detention center.
Jin Yang sat in the interrogation room and flipped through their statements. He also learned that there was a gang of hooligans in the neighboring city.
He deployed his skilled personal guards to the neighboring city to suppress and clean up the hooligans.
Jin Yang threw the statements on the table and was about to leave the detention center when he suddenly heard a commotion outside. The police officers in the detention center hurriedly ran out with their batons and guns.
The police captain kept urging, “Hurry up, don’t let them escape!”
Jin Yang frowned and gestured for the guards beside him to stop a few police officers for questioning.
“What happened?”
When the police officer saw Jin Yang, he was so frightened that he immediately stood firmly in his military stance. He raised his hand and saluted as he replied, “Mr. President, there were too many refugees arrested just now and not enough guards in the prison. I don’t know how the prisoners knew of this but they actually instigated a riot in an attempt to escape!”
“A few prisoners have already started climbing over the barbed wire fence. We were ordered by the warden to go as reinforcements!”
Jin Yang did not expect that the refugee problem would result in so much additional trouble. They exposed the negligence of the prison management!
He wanted to arrange for his guards to help deal with it, but he suddenly recalled the report about Qiu Tong. Her father Qiu Rong seemed to be imprisoned in S City!
Jin Yang frowned worriedly. “Let’s go take a look.”
His guards were worried about his safety and wanted to stop him, but he realized that Jin Yang’s expression was serious. “Yes, Mr. President.”
Outside the prison, many prisoners had already climbed out of the outer wall. The police officers were engaged in a melee with them.
Jin Yang waved his hand, indicating for the guards to step in and help. He pushed open the prison door and asked for Qiu Rong’s prison number. He then strode over to check on the situation.
“Cough cough…cough cough!”
A weak cry for help came from the end of the gloomy and dark corridor. Qiu Rong was being strangled by one of his cellmates. His face had turned purple and his pupils were dilated. “Help, help!”
When Jin Yang saw the two entangled figures, he suddenly lifted his leg and kicked open the metal door, knocking over the criminal who had tried to kill Qiu Rong.
Qiu Rong lay on the ground panting heavily. The police officers who had rushed over immediately arrested the perpetrator and brought him out of the prison cell.
Jin Yang saw that Qiu Rong’s expression had eased a little. He reached out to help him up and asked in a low voice, “Are you alright?”
Qiu Rong held his hand and stood up with difficulty. He originally wanted to thank his benefactor for saving his life, but when he saw that it was Jin Yang, his expression became slightly conflicted. He swallowed the words of gratitude he was about to say.
“How…how’s my daughter?”
Qiu Rong asked in a hoarse voice. Jin Yang didn’t notice the change in his attitude and arranged for the warden to transfer him to a relatively safe cell.
The warden acutely sensed Jin Yang’s care for Qiu Rong and naturally did not dare to object.
Jin Yang looked at Qiu Rong’s aged face and replied indifferently, “Qiu Tong is very safe. So are the children.”
“I won’t tell them what happened to you in prison. Don’t worry.”
Qiu Rong looked at Jin Yang gratefully and heaved a sigh of relief. He smiled weakly and nodded. “That’s good.. It’s good that they’re alright!”
