Chapter 1874: Ship Party ①
Now then, the time for the party to start is finally approaching. Though I say that, Caraway is the one in charge of the general progress, Illness-san and Anima are in charge of overseeing the staff, and Eta and Theta are in charge of other minor situations. There are also the many excellent maids dispatched by the World Maid Association so…… to be honest, there’s almost nothing for me to do.
I only have to say a few words at the beginning and make a toast, and then I go around and greet people I know and talk to them.
Incidentally, this time I decided to add a note to the invitations beforehand, saying that greetings to me are unnecessary…… or basically, for it not to be made.
The people invited to this party are mostly acquaintances of mine, and Anima thought it would be tough if they gathered around me, so I wrote in a very roundabout way that they should basically wait until I arrived at where they are, as I’ll be going around. So, in essence, people shouldn’t gather around me all of a sudden.
Incidentally, the reason I said “mostly” was because some of the guests had brought their escorts or assistants with them, so some of them had never met me before.
Also, the order in which I go around is also fixed to some extent. Anima has reminded me to definitely go to Shiro-san first.
After all, when the participants are ranked, Shiro-san and Makina-san are the highest-ranked beings here…… well, both are World Creators, so the most remarkable in this assembly hall.
Shiro-san and Makina-san are basically to be treated the same way, but since this is Shiro-san’s world, she has slightly more priority than the other, so I go to her first.
Basically, the order of priority is Shiro-san, Makina-san, the Six Kings, the Supreme Gods, and the Three Rulers…… and after that, I’m free to go to anyone I see, so let’s just do that.
Since they’ve taken the trouble to attend, I do want to have a conversation with each and every one of the guests at least once. However, considering that I don’t have a lot of time to spend with each person, I’ll need to be mindful of time as I move around.
[Master, the venue is ready and everything is all set. We will open the entrance in 5 minutes and make it possible for entry.]
[Unnn. I can just go in after them, right?]
[Yes, Master will enter through the backstage door after the invited guests have entered the hall. There’s no problem if you go in first, but please wait until all the guests have arrived before you go onstage.]
[Alright.]
The venue where the party is held has a stage, some sort of platform, and the first greetings and Alice’s sideshows will be held there.
Since it’s just people I know, that should be okay to some extent…… but still, having to greet people on a stage is quite nerve-wracking……
The participants began to gather one after another in the hall where the magic ship party would be held, and looking at the people gathering there, Lilia, who had arrived at the venue early, let out a sigh.
[……How should I say this…… Looking at them again like this, it reaffirms how tremendous of a connection Kaito-san has.]
[God of Creation-sama and all of the Supreme Gods, the Six Kings and most of the Executives…… Even at Festivals of Heroes, people of such status wouldn’t have gathered this much.]
[What’s terrifying is that Miyama-sama got to know them in just 1-2 years and has gotten along so well that they happily attend his party. Good gracious, this unknown Lunamaria can’t help but shudder.]
Sieglinde and Lunamaria, who were accompanying Lilia’s muttering, also agreed. When it comes to gatherings similar to this, the first thing that comes to mind is the Festival of Heroes, but at the Festival of Heroes, the participation of the Six Kings’ Executives is limited to one or two representatives per camp, accompanying each King. As for the Supreme Gods, Chronois was the only one attending to assist Shallow Vernal, and Fate and Life rarely appeared at the venue.
[Well, that still has nothing to do with me, so I could feel at ease.]
[……Lili, as your good friend, I’ll give you this advice. You really shouldn’t be too optimistic……]
[Eh? Sieg? No, in his party, as expected, people would gather towards Kaito-san…… With few nobles in attendance, there’s not much for me to do……]
[I agree with Sieg here. When Lili gets optimistic like that, something usually happens. Since we’re also here, I hope we won’t get dragged into it.]
[You too Luna!?]
Indeed, Lilia’s argument makes sense. She’s merely here as one of the invited guests, and while she’s a Duchess with a relatively high status, it’s low when compared to the others gathered here, so the likelihood of attention being focused on her is rather low…… is what the person herself had predicted.
Of course, as Sieglinde and Lunamaria feared, Lilia’s relaxed expression would crumble within minutes of the party starting.
<Afterword>
Serious-senpai : [……Seems like Lilia would be struck with a body blow right away.]
