Kiss Me Not

Chapter 161 - The New Owner Of The Company

Brione was surprised beyond belief when Gavin told her about owning the Cooper Entertainment and Network company.

At first, she thought she just misheard it. But later on... after they finished taking a bath, Gavin showed her the signed documents as proof that he already bought the company from Xander.

She was overwhelmed by this surprise. She didn't expect that Gavin would do that just for her. Buying a company was no joke. He already had a lot of things to do and now, he got a company to manage.

She was worried that it would be troublesome for Gavin but he reassured him that he would be able to manage everything with the help of his team.

"Sweetheart, don't worry too much. I did this for you. I want to make sure that you will have a safe working environment by acquiring this company. I don't want the incident with Derek Cyrus to happen again."

Brione could only give him a grateful look as she hugged him.

"Thank you, Darling. I will make sure to compensate you well for this."

"Hmm, I like that. I will look forward to that, Sweetheart. Let's go now. I will drop you off at your workplace. There is something I need to do in the company as well."

After twenty minutes, Gavin and Brione arrived at Cooper Entertainment and Network Building. After sending her to her office, Gavin said goodbye to her in the meantime as he would meet his team who would help him in managing the company.

Berry and Mitch were already inside when Brione came in. It looked like the two women were so busy doing something on their laptops that they failed to notice Brione's arrival.

Berry and Mitch were busy replying to the netizens who were asking about Brione's whereabouts. Some of them got worried for Brione upon watching the viral video. Some started praising Brione for her bravery.

They admired her for being a strong-willed woman who never let an abusive CEO bully her. She got lots of good feedback from the netizens, commending her for fighting back and beating Derek Cyrus.

"Hello, Ladies, good morning!" Brione greeted Mitch and Berry with a wide smile on her face.

"Brione, you are here. Sorry, we didn't notice. Good morning!" Mitch stood up, pulling Brione to the vacant chair.

"Boss! Have you seen the news? You went trending again. The online world is talking about you and your bravery! You are such a role model to all the women out there! Everyone is praising you!" Berry spoke spontaneously, her eyes filled with admiration for Brione.

Brione gave her a faint smile before checking her laptop. She wanted to see the news and the feedback from the citizens. It would certainly lift her mood.

"Sigh, why do I feel like you don't need me anymore? I am your manager but Gavin was the one who took care of everything," Mitch said, pretending to be sad.

Brione let out a soft giggle. She patted Mitch's shoulder, consoling her. "Don't say that. Of course, I need you, Mitch. We can't let Gavin take care of everything whenever something like this happens again. He has more important things to do."

"Haha! Boss, you are so lucky to have an overprotective man like Gavin. He moves so fast when it comes to you. Imagine! In just one day, Derek Cyrus was totally ruined! Gavin is so clever for installing spying cameras on your things. It helped you a lot in times of crisis!"

Mitch nodded her head in agreement. "That's true. The crisis brought by Derek Cyrus is now over. Thanks to your very capable man, Gavin!"

Both Mitch and Berry continued teasing Brione, telling her how lucky she was for having Gavin.

"Argh! I'm jealous. I hope I will meet a guy who will do anything just to protect me and pamper me with love," Berry uttered with her dreamy eyes.

Mitch rolled her eyes skyward. "Berry, for you to experience that, you have to stop playing around with men. You should take relationships seriously." Mitch lectured Berry.

But Berry just laughed at her words and teased Mitch.

"Wow, big words from our NBSB friend. Haha, I think Kevin is influencing you so much. You sound like an expert in a relationship now." Berry stuck her tongue out, teasing Mitch.

Mitch's face reddened at the mention of Kevin's name. She just glared at Berry. She started teasing her again. She had the urge to seal Berry's blabbering mouth.

Brione giggled seeing the funny interaction between Berry and Mitch.

"Another good thing happened. I heard that Derek Cyrus had been summoned by the court. A restraining order was also issued to prevent him from approaching Brione. Gavin fixed everything so fast. I am in awe! Gavin deserves a standing ovation!" Mitch said, diverting the topic away from Kevin and her.

Berry clapped her hands as she remembered something.

"Oh, speaking of that, do you know that Derek Cyrus is no longer our CEO? I heard that the former owner, Mr. Xander of Yang Globals Group bought the company back from Derek right after the video went viral. But Xander sold the company to someone on the same day. Now I am very curious who will be our new CEO. They said the new owner of the company is visiting us today and called for a meeting."

If Gavin moved fast when it came to Brione's concern, nothing beats Berry's radar in picking up news and gossip. She was as fast as the lightning bolt.

Meanwhile, Brione was already smiling from ear to ear as she listened to Berry's last remarks. Mitch and Berry watched her confusedly.

"Why are you smiling like that Brione? Are you that happy to hear this piece of good news?" Mitch asked her with a faint smile.

"Hey! Why do I feel like you already knew something, Boss? You were not surprised when I said it. Do you know who is the new owner of this company?" Berry also asked her, eyeing her suspiciously.

Brione bobbed her head with a wide grin.

"Yes, I knew him very well. The new owner of this company is... none other than my husband, Gavin!"

Mitch: 0_0

Berry: 0_0
