171 Dwarf's Mine
Hiro had arrived at the town square of Vul Faldur, which he had marked as the spawn point. Vul Faldur City was very crowded with visitors as usual. Players and NPCs blend together into one to come as buyers or travelling merchants.
After making a confession on the live broadcast last night, Hiro suddenly became very famous. Every player who passed him greeted him respectfully. He felt a little awkward when other players bent down their heads just to greet him. He felt it was a bit too much. That was not what he wanted after his confession.
To avoid that, Hiro decided to buy a new robe that had a hoodie and a mask to cover his face. He also bought a new scabbard to hide the Blood-Eater Vampire, which had become his signature weapon.
Based on the map that appeared on the pages of Lucifer’s diary, Hiro had to move to a place where there was a mine at that point. There was no clear clue as to what he would find at that point because there was no detailed explanation in the diary.
If the instructions were very clear, everything would feel too easy to upgrade the stage 1 legendary weapon, and the price was also relatively cheap because he had 15 Lucifer’s memory shards .
That afternoon, the weather was hot and Hiro ran in the scorching sun, while Spyro flew after him. Until this moment, Alice still hadn’t controlled his pet’s body again and left it in automatic mode. At least, after Alice managed to add cheats to Spyro, the dragon would always be full and its mood was always great. Hiro didn’t have to bother to feed it and paid attention to its mood.
After walking for more than a kilometre, Hiro finally arrived at a point marked on the map. At that point, there was no visible building above the ground. Just a hut that seemed to be used as a resting place for the dwarf miners.
Hiro saw a train track that must have functioned to move the mining products out of the dug hole. By following the end of the train tracks, Hiro also found a mine passage that was still used by the Dwarves. It had oil lamps in it.
He could enter the passage without asking the Dwarves’ permission who were passing by with the mining tools.
Hiro arrived at the end of the train tracks. He saw a wooden carriage that was already full of cargo parked there. But, his objective was not in the wooden carriage.
In front of him, there was a three-way junction which Hiro had to choose whether he would go to the left or right. And he really didn’t know which path to take.
In times like these, there was no other choice but to try both at random.
Hiro chose the path to the left and entered it. A similar passage, but not as many oil lamps as the previous one.
And as he walked deeper and deeper, suddenly dozens of monsters resembling rattlesnakes appeared, surrounding him from all directions. Even some of them were hanging from the ceiling of the cave.
“Well, wrong way.” Hiro muttered, then drew out the Blood-Eater Vampire to finish off the monsters.
Ding!
[New Monster Information has been unlocked]
[Rattlevenom Level 70]
[Race: Beast]
Hiro smiled. After working hard enough to increase his progressive stats, Hiro felt that this time he became obsessed with taking down the enemies. And this rattlesnake monster would be his first hunt today. He would use them as a light warm-up.
[Concentration (passive)]
[In order to use a great sword properly, you must first concentrate on your mind. Once you are focused, there is nothing that cannot be cut by your sword. With this skill, your XP will increase faster during battle.]
[Hurricane Slash]
[Attack skill using a great sword. When used, you will be swinging your great sword in a circular motion to create a hurricane. This powerful hurricane will slash through your opponent and will damage even those who are behind them.]
Hiro combined his new skills in the right order.
Whoosh!
With the speed of a rogue and barbarian, Hiro twisted his body until the air pressure surrounding him changed according to the direction of his rotation. At the same time, the vampire Blood-Eater spun around to form a powerful hurricane that could slash down the nearby monsters and pull them into the vortex.
Splat!
Splat!
Splat!
[-15000] [-15000] [-15000]
The rattlesnake monsters that were being pulled into the vortex of sword slashes instantly died with their bodies tear limb from limb before being able to shoot their poison at Hiro.
Splat! Splat! Splat!
Hiro didn’t stop until his energy ran out. The reduced energy count wasn’t that great compared to the Awakening sword combo skill, so Hiro didn’t hesitate at all when using it.
Splat!
[-15000] [-15000 [-15000]
Those rattlesnake monsters had been slain in a matter of minutes.
Ding!
[You have obtained Rattlesnakes Venom Drops 55x]
[You have obtained Snake glasses (Acc) – Fame +500 (Tradeable)]
Hiro immediately put all the drops he got from killing the monster to the Marketplace for sale. Venom Drops were highly sought after by low-level rogues for extra stack damage.
While Snake glasses, what kind of people were interested in wearing glasses with a dark brown snake-shaped frame? Yet, Hiro hoped that it would sell well in the market.
After finding a dead end that only contained dozens of deadly poisonous monsters, Hiro ran back to the previous three-way junction, and this time, he chose to take the path to the right.
To the right, he saw the Dwarves taking their lunch break again while leaning against the wall. Some of them offered Hiro to join in with them, but Hiro ignored it.
At the end of the passage, there was a hole dug downwards that looked as deep as a well, but the diameter was so wide, like a chasm. There was a wooden staircase against the wall leading down.
And Hiro had no other choice but to go down the stairs to the bottom.
It took more than five minutes without a break for Hiro to go down the stairs to the bottom. And below, he saw many Dwarves working in unison, digging the ground in other parts.
Hiro continued to walk through the main passage, which was quite narrow and congested with a bit of difficulty. He was the only person who had a normal body size. Without knowing what he was looking for in there, Hiro continued and didn’t give up.
Until suddenly, an NPC greeted him with a sentence that made his ears stiff.
“What an excellent sword, Man.”
