Leanna

Chapter 66 - [Disappointed] [Revenge]

Chapter 66 – [Disappointed] [Revenge]

[Disappointed]

It was already eight in daylight when I went out of my room, fresh from the bath, wearing a long sleeve shirt and fitted trousers.

In the dining table, Cain was drinking tea entirely at home, dressed in his three-piece suit. In the glass vase on the table, there was a new yellow rose together with the other roses he gave me.

His wet hair, after shower face and smell, was like an aphrodisiac to me. I wrinkled my nose and ignored him. I unpacked the shopping bags in the living area, placing them in their proper places.

"You're angry."

I snubbed him and continued what I was doing.

"Leanna . . ."

I pretended I didn't hear him.

"Leanna . . ."

I sensed him stood from his chair, and though I didn't hear the sounds of his steps, I knew he was approaching me.

I treated him like air and walked past him into the dining area. He followed me around, not uttering a word much to my irritation.

When I finally unpacked and placed all the things in its proper places, I grabbed the remaining shopping bags and went straight to my room –– slamming the door shut.

I knew I was a brat, but I couldn't help it! My temper is at its worst when I'm angry. I didn't want to speak to him. Afraid I would only shout and say hurtful words at his face.

It's best if I let my temper cool down first.

But unfortunately for me, Cain didn't want to leave me and my temper alone.

"Leanna . . ."

He embraced me from behind and nibbled my ear. My body gave its usual response that only this man could induce.

"Let go!" I hissed.

"I know you're disappointed. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have led you on like that," he whispered into my ear, trying to appease my anger.

But instead, it made me even angrier!

I bit my lip, didn't want to say something that I would surely regret. But he was adamant in forcing me to shout at him.

"Leanna . . . , talk to me . . ."

"Let go!" I struggled from his embrace, but his hands only tightened –– not letting me go.

"Leanna . . . don't be angry anymore . . ."

He gave me that raspy pleading voice which I was weak at, and my limbs turned to jelly against my will. Good thing he was holding me or my embarrassed face would meet the hard cold floor.

*sigh . . . My resolve, can you please be more determined?

I puffed a wry sigh, "From this day forth, don't lead me on if you're not going to follow through."

"En . . ."

"Don't grab me and rip my clothes if you're just going to leave me hanging."

"En . . ."

"Don't touch my breasts nor poke me if you're not going to make love to me."

"En . . ."

Alright, I'd admit, I was like a frustrated old unmarried woman starving for sex.

But I couldn't help it!

I was so disappointed and angry at him for bringing me near heaven only to drop me on the ground without warning.

"From now on, I won't do all those things until we're married," he said, kissing my hair.

. . .

. . .

Wait . . . What?!

He turned me to face him.

"I will only hug and kiss you and won't do anything beyond that until you're of legal age," he continued with a serious face, ignoring my shock expression.

Wait! Wait! Didn't you understand the meaning behind my words?!

"I will treasure your body even after we are married," he smiled, embracing me gently in his arms.

. . .

. . .

I don't want you to freakin' treasure my body! I want you to make love to me right now! RIGHT NOW! YA' HEAR ME?!

[Revenge]

. . .

. . .

"Why are you still angry?"

"I'm not," I snapped.

"Then why are you glaring at me?"

"This is how I usually look at you."

". . ."

". . ."

He sighed and tightened his arms around me without saying a word.

We stayed like that for who knew how long until my anger and disappointment dissipated.

It's not his fault, alright?! You should be happy that he's treating you so well.

I released a big breath and hugged him back. Sensing I was no longer angry at him, he threw me an affectionate look.

We stared into each other's eyes, our forehead pressing, our nose hovering, smiling like idiots.

I watched Cain in a trance as he got ready for his work inside one of the empty bedrooms in my unit.

This man is so perfect it makes me annoyed sometimes.

It's not fair that I'm the only one who's flustered all the time!

A sly smile stretched my lips.

I went out and grabbed the shopping bags in my bedroom and zoomed back to his room.

"Cain . . . ," I purred. "I have something for you." I gave him the coat and neckties.

Cain stared at me, face full of happiness and love that I almost feel guilty about what I was going to do next.

"Thank you . . . ," he said. The ice in his eyes was melting. "Can you put it on for me?"

I nodded and tiptoed my way and removed his necktie, replacing it with the one I bought. I then helped him put on the coat.

I gasped and clasped my hands in delight. "It looks so good on you!"

He smiled. "Anything you get me will look good on me."

The corner of my lips kicked up a grin. "Then, you'll wear anything I give you?"

"Of course," he answered without a second thought.

I jumped on my toes in excitement. "It so happens that I bought a bag that matches your coat!"

I pulled out a Rodeo Randoseru backpack that elementary children in Japan used for school.

"I have one too! See!" I pulled out another Rodeo Randoseru backpack and showed it to him.

"This'll be my school bag going to university. We'll have a matching pair!" I told him.

"Or we can alternate between these colors!" I flashed two more Rodeo Randoseru backpack. One deep brown and the other deep blue.

My eyes traveled to his, expectation on my face. My phone on my hand, ready to take a picture of his flustered expression.

Cain closed the distance between us and grabbed the backpack. "Thank you. I love it."

He kissed my cheek, and his eyes stared at me with so much affection than before. He then removed his things from his bag and put it inside the backpack, slow and careful. Afraid to damage the leather.

". . ."

Well, that didn't work.

I frowned and licked my lips as I came over to his side.

"Cain . . ."

"Mmmm . . . ?"

I tilted my head, and tap a finger on my chin, pretending to think about something.

"You know, isn't your face a bit . . . pale?"

"Yes, it is."

I grinned.
