We are watching a movie in my room before we decide to go to sleep, it's so quiet and somehow it feels so different without Francesca ranting about the characters and their stupid or dumb personalities or Michael making a joke every minute from the dialog in the movies or Grisell telling us about the weapons and armors that the actors and actresses used in the medieval movies. Without them, it somehow feels a bit peaceful and yet it feels so empty.
Ivonna has been taking a glimpse at Chelsea and she's been trying to gather the courage to tell her about her staying here with me. Ivonna takes a deep breath and then she finally has the courage to call Chelsea, Chelsea turns her head and looks at Ivonna while raising her eyebrows.
"Yes?"
Ivonna is scratching her eyebrow while putting both of her knees in front of her.
"If I stay here, are you okay with that?"
Emma and William immediately turn their heads to look at Ivonna, Chelsea is staring at Ivonna for quite a while and trying to process what's the meaning of Ivonna's word, then she tilts her head while furrowing her forehead.
"You want to stay here, Ivy? For how long?"
Ivonna shrugs and shakes her head.
"I'm not sure, but I want to stay here with Trevor for as long as I can."
Chelsea is furrowing her forehead and she's confused.
"What's that mean? You're saying that you won't go back to France?"
Ivonna is pausing before she can reply to Chelsea's questions, but then she shakes her head and smiles.
"No, I will go back but maybe only a few times a year just to check on you. But, I'm still not sure if I want to do this because I don't want you to be alone or worse to feel lonely without me, Chessi. At the same time, if I'm leaving Trevor, I don't think I can do it."
Chelsea keeps staring at Ivonna and then she just shrugs and tilts her head while nodding with understanding. Ivonna immediately feels bad about it, and not to mention that Chelsea isn't saying anything about her reason to stay. Ivonna slowly approaches Chelsea and faces her body at Chelsea while keeps staring at her.
"Are you angry?"
Chelsea just shakes her head while keep watching the movie, Emma and William are looking at Ivonna and then they both are looking at me. Ivonna doesn't know what else to say and she just goes quiet and sits next to Chelsea while watching the movie, I don't think Chelsea is mad at her, it's just that she's still thinking about it. I look at Emma and William then give them a signal to leave the room with me, they both nod with understanding, we pretend to grab some snacks downstairs and leave them both on their own in the room.
We leave the room then Emma and I immediately hug the wall and try to listen to their conversation while William keeps on walking and go downstairs, he has no idea that we are not following him downstairs while he keeps walking down the stairs to grab the snacks in the fridge in the kitchen.
Chelsea sighs and lowers her shoulders, then she looks at Ivonna.
"You love him that much, Ivy?"
Ivonna without hesitation nods and hums in agreement.
"Yeah, I love him very much. I think I have found the right person for me, Chessi. I don't want to lose him and I'm old enough to think about taking this relationship seriously, if I go back to France, I can't hold this feeling if I can't see him for weeks or months. I really want this relationship to work but at the same time I don't want to see you on your own back home, you're precious to me and I always thought that I would let myself stay by your side until you find someone that's precious to you, so I'm in a dilemma and I don't know what to do."
Chelsea is chuckling and shaking her head.
"Is it because you don't want me to be lonely or is it because you still need me, Ivy?"
Ivonna is shyly nodding and smiling at her.
"Both, yeah, both of them."
Chelsea is chuckling happily and then she hugs Ivonna so tightly while leaning her head on Ivonna's shoulder.
"Then I will stay here with you."
Ivonna is confused and looks at Chelsea.
"You're going to stay? But what about your friends back in France? What about your work? You can't leave them behind."
Chelsea scoffs and shakes her head.
"Those ladies can keep on living without me, it's not like I'm the center of their attention or something like that, we can keep staying in touch by doing video calls or something like that so it's not a problem. If you're asking about my job then I don't think it will be a problem at all, Miss Andrea already introduced my dresses into her circle, and not just that but I already got an email from three of the biggest brands in the world is wanting me to send my designs and they want to buy them if it matches with their taste. It's all thanks to Miss Andrea of course, so it doesn't matter if I work here or in France since I spend most of my day in the house."
Ivonna is surprised and looks at Chelsea with disbelief.
"What?! Why didn't you tell me about it? I'm so happy and so proud of you, Chessi."
Chelsea shrugs and smiles.
"Well, I haven't made up my decision yet since I thought that I would go back to France and it would be hard to stay in contact with them and Miss Andrea, so now knowing that you want to stay here I think I'm ready to make the decision now. Let's stay here for as long as we want, but we need to make a different visa for this because I don't want to become an illegal immigrant."
Ivonna is laughing quietly and nods in agreement.
"Yes, let's do that."
I smile and then look at Emma, I nod and we both are about to go back inside but then William comes back with a handful of snacks in his hands. We both approach him and grab one snack each for ourselves then we both enter the room again while William is pointing his finger at both of us.
"That's mine…"
Ivonna and Chelsea are looking at us with snacks in our hands, then we all sit back to watch the movie. Ivonna is staring at me for quite a while and I look at her while smiling innocently, she then approaches me and leans on my shoulder while grabbing the chips from the bag in my hand. I lean toward her ear and whisper into her ear.
"So? How does it go? She's fine with you staying here?"
Ivonna lifts her head and stares into my eyes with a big smile on her face while nodding.
"Yes, and it's better than I thought. She will stay with us because she got some work thanks to Miss Andrea and now she feels like she can do the thing she loves here as well and I really happy for her."
I'm pretending to be surprised and I look at her with my eyes and mouth wide open happily.
"Really? I'm happy to hear that. I guess everything is going better than we both expected."
Ivonna pulls my arm and puts it and wraps it around her neck, she slightly nods and smiles.
"Yeah…"
I look at her and raise my eyebrows.
"Even though you both are going to stay here, I would love to visit France and see how beautiful the country is since I have never gone abroad, so the first country I want to visit is France because I want you to show me around over there."
Ivonna looks at me and she looks so excited.
"Yeah? That sounds like a good plan, I would love to show you around and introduce you to my friends."
I kiss her head and then lean my head on her head while we both watch the movie. Emma and Chelsea are looking at both of us and they show their envious expression, Ivonna and I are just looking at them and raising our eyebrows. Emma and Chelsea are leaning their heads like us to show that they both can do it as well, on the other hand, William is looking at the four of us eating his chocolate stick and sighs.
"I'm on my own, I guess… I miss Mike, Hans, and Leo already…"
The four of us are laughing at him while we are enjoying the movie.
After we are done watching the movie, everyone goes back to their own room. I turn off all the lamps in the room and then lay down on my bed while staring at the balcony door. I slightly smile and close my eyes while sighing.
"Everything is well."
