Legacy Of The Betelgeuse

Chapter 298 - Episode 298: Deja Vu.

Chapter 298 – Episode 298: Deja Vu.

We log into the game and we are in the castle of the Ophiuchus' Empire, everyone is looking at us in silence but then Kingstar raises his hand to greet us while the rest of them are welcoming us back. I look at the date and we have at least 24 days now to get the [Heugron's Necklace], Ivonna and I immediately leave the hall and they are wishing us good luck. We are outside of the castle and Ivonna is looking at me so seriously while crossing her hands.

"What's our first move?"

I look at her and point at the north.

"We are going to the Temple of Gloom and go to the Land of Sigrid."

Ivonna furrows her forehead.

"Are you sure we are able to enter the Land of Sigrid? We just checked it recently and we were still unable to enter the Land of Sigrid though."

I nod with understanding.

"I know, but did you receive an updated quest from Eveth during our battle against Alucard?"

Ivonna nods in agreement and so I look at the sky.

"I think they're done with whatever they're dealing with, so I think we can enter the Land of Sigrid since I also received an update from Ezira. They were watching over us and that means they're free now, right? We should check it out first because you will need Eveth's knowledge to translate the ancient language that you copied in that note to her."

Ivonna is holding her chin while humming with understanding and then she agrees to check the Temple of Gloom with me. We teleport to the Temple of Gloom and wait until the moonlight illuminates the invincible building. While we are waiting for the moonlight, Ivonna checks the second quest she received after the ritual when she offered [Thera's Heart] in the Loslan Village. She reminds herself by speaking it loudly about the [Heugron Last Stopover], she then realizes that the description matched with what she experienced during her prayer.

"Wait, his soul essence guided me during my prayer, does that mean it was trying to tell me that the place that I met him was the place where he died?"

I look at her while smiling, laughing, and nodding.

"You just realized it now?"

Ivonna is covering her face while shaking her head.

"I guess my mind was too occupied to think about other things and my focus was on how to defeat Alucard."

I look at the sky and the moonlight is up, I stand up and look at her.

"Now that you got the biggest hint, we just need to get something else from the message you got from Heugron. Let's enter the Land of Sigrid now and don't waste more time since we are running out of time and our journey is still far from over."

Ivonna gets up and nods with understanding and then we enter the building while offering our blood then we are being teleported to the Land of Sigrid. We walk past the guardian and the huge door is opening, we both look at each other and we now know that we are able to enter the Land of Sigrid again. We walk into the forest and hurriedly summon Azrael and Aegis and mount them then go to where the tower is at.

The moment we get out of the forest, we both are looking at the tower with our eyes and mouth wide open. The sturdy-looking tower is now in ruins, and it's not surprising compared to the giant hole on the wall, we look at how big the hole is and I can tell that it's enough to fit Shazjae into the hole. We look at each other and nod then decide to enter the Land of Sigrid, and when we are inside the tower, we see heroes are so busy fixing the tower. We keep on walking since our purpose here to meet Eveth, but then we see a portal is opening in front of us, we see the Legendary Heroes are coming out from the portal but I don't see Ezira.

Ivonna gets down from Aegis' back and she walks toward Eveth while I'm still on Azrael's back looking for Ezira. Eveth approaches Ivonna and immediately grabs Ivonna's arms gently with a big smile on her face, Ivonna smiles back at her. Eveth turns her head toward me and I look at her while raising my eyebrows, she's slowly shaking her head and I have no idea what that means. I get down from Azael's back and walk toward her, the other heroes are looking at me with a concerned expression.

"Where's Ezira?"

Eveth looks at me and sighs.

"She's in her palace, you should see her and I can take you there."

I shake my head.

"No need, there's something more important for you to do, Lady Eveth. Ivonna received a message from Heugron, and we both don't understand the ancient language, so we are here to ask for your help. I will go there on my own while you should help Ivonna translate the message because right now we are running out of time since we can't kill Alucard. Even your divine power isn't enough to kill him, Lady Eveth."

Eveth is raising her eyebrows with disbelief and then she looks at Ivonna to convince herself if what I said is true, Ivonna nods in agreement and tells her what happened. All the legendary heroes are shocked when they hear that Ivonna got possessed by Heugron, they all want to know the details and so they all decide to join her and help her translate the message she got from Heugron. Loslathan opens up the portal and they're getting inside the portal but when Eveth is about to enter, she stops and turns around to look at me.

"You don't have to worry about her, she can handle herself."

I'm so confused but before I can ask her what happened, she enters the portal with Ivonna. Artas is opening a portal for me since I can't go to the highest floor without one of their help, he looks at me and nods then enters the portal that Loslathan opened for them. I enter Artas' portal and I immediately at the outside of Ezira's palace, I see so many heroes are taking care of the garden and her palace, I'm so confused and at the same time so curious about it.

I walk up the stairs into her palace, and when I enter the palace, I see dozens of heroes are doing the same thing, they're here cleaning and taking care of the palace. One of the heroes looks at me and he decides to approach me, I ask him what's going on here since it's so weird to see so many of them here, he just shakes his head while smiling and then points his finger up the stairs. I look at him and then he just walks away to continue what he was doing. I go up the stairs and keep going up until I'm standing in front of a white with gold frame huge door. I knock on the door and I hear footsteps from the inside are coming toward the door, a woman is opening the door and I see Ezira is laying on her massive bed with her whole body covered with a blanket, I'm not sure if she's asleep or not but her eyes are closed.

Before I can ask the woman if Ezira is asleep or not, Ezira's mouth is moving.

"You all can leave, let me have a private conversation with my disciple."

All of the women are bowing and then leave the room so quietly as if they don't want to make loud noises that can disturb her resting time. I'm slowly walking toward her and I see a chair next to her so I decide to sit on the chair while looking at her with her eyes are still closed. She slowly opens her eyes and turns her head toward me, she lifts her left arm and waves her hand at me.

"It's been a while, my disciple…"

I furrow my forehead while staring at her with confusion.

"Why are you sounding like you're dying?"

Ezira looks at me while chuckling then she starts laughing quietly, she groans in pain while trying to stand up but she can't. Why do I feel like I'm having a deja vu right now? But I ignore that thought and immediately stand up to help her sit down. The moment I grab her back and lift her body a bit so she can sit down, the blanket that covers her body is slowly falling down and I'm shocked the moment I see that her right arm is gone. My eyes are wide open and gulp with disbelief, I look at her and shake my head asking what happened to her but Ezira looks at me while chuckling and grabbing my hand with her left hand.

"Because I am."
