249 [Bonus chapter] The Truth (Part-2)

“Why have we become husband and wife just because I hatched her out of the egg, and why do I feel an irresistible urge to possess her?”

Roy’s eyes remained dead set on Yulran.

He wanted answers, and Yulran had to give them to him even if he spent the last moment of this life of his answering him.

“What do you mean by that? Have the Baldwin clan fallen so much that they didn’t teach you about the matter between a pure-blooded and a formless siren before throwing you in here?” Yulran widened his eyes at Roy in disbelief, questioning him in return.

He didn’t admit that he had trolled Roy into marrying her. Why should he when he can part with this descendant of his on good terms just by lying a little? Crimson Dragons were mischievous by nature, but they were not idiots.

His intense reaction was enough to make Roy believe that he didn’t know that he was ignorant about “that.”

Roy replied to him, “Yes, it’s as you think. They never said a word about this to me. I am ignorant to it.”

“I guess I have no choice but to do it myself. Hatching a formless siren is the same as marrying her. You are officially married to her!”

The ancestor broke the happy news to Roy and then told him about the relationship between Crimson Dragons and Water Celestial.

Long ago, when the Thousand Great Worlds were one and Gods lived amongst humans, the Dragon race helped the Water God deal with the Prince of Chaos.

In return, the Water God eternally connected the red threads of fates of the members of his clans with the Dragons, allowing the latter to marry his descendants if they succeeded in hatching the egg containing them.

The Formless Siren finds out whether a dragon was connected with them by the red threads of fate or not after they come in contact with their blood.

The eggs containing them would hatch, they would gain a physical body, and they would step out if they were “Fated.”

For example, Roy was fated with this Formless Siren. Thus, they ended up as a married couple.

If a Formless Siren were not fated with any Dragon, they would wait for 500-1000 years. That’s the amount of time needed for a Formless Siren to fully condense a body. The time taken depended on their aptitude for magic and talent. When their body was fully formed, they would let the egg, which acted as their protective cover, hatch and step out of it without the help of others.

Although Roy still felt like he had been scammed into a marriage with her, he no longer distrusted her. He was her fated as otherwise, she wouldn’t have stepped out of her protective cover no matter how much he smeared it with blood. They were meant to be.

Not to mention, Formless Sirens inherit the memory in their blood while still inside the egg. According to her memories, Crimson Dragons were lustful creatures. Meanwhile, Formless Sirens like her could use their nature to her advantage and mate with her mate. Mating with Roy would bring her extreme joy and also push her toward the next Stage, which was the Water Celestial Stage.

If she became pregnant with his seeds, that would be even great. Giving birth to children for one’s mate was the greatest joy for formless sirens.

Usually, they would mate with Crimson Dragon right after popping out of the egg.

The world of dragons and Gods was weird to Roy.

He wasn’t going to mate with her just because they were destined to be.

First of all, even though she was his mate on the paper, she was a stranger to him.

Secondly, this hellhole was not a place to mate like dogs!

“If there’s nothing else, do excuse us.”

Roy grabbed the Formless Siren’s hand, intending to take her away from this demon-infested ancestral land, but he was stopped by Yulran.

“Wait, there are a few things that I need to make clear to you.”

“You have become eternally responsible for her now that you are married to her. You will have to provide and look after her. You will be punished by the Upholders of Fate if you let her down in any way. And know this, even though Death is sealing the way in and out of Far West, it might be unable to stop them from descending on your head.”

Roy waved his hand at him. “Don’t worry. I am not a stingy guy. I will give her whatever she needs. That’s the least I can do for my companion.”

All of a sudden, he was married to a Semi-Deity, a descendant of the Water God. This was weird to him. But he didn’t hate her, nor were they hostile to each other. Furthermore, she fit his taste. In the future, when she understands what it means to be married and they develop actual feelings for each other, he will sleep with her. And until then, he will treat her like his wife. He was a man. Gaining a wife out of the blue actually didn’t anger him much. It just shocked him thoroughly.

Yulran cleared his throat and continued speaking to Roy.

“The second thing I want to tell you is this. Voss is a paranoid guy. He had set up a spell in this chamber. If you bring her out of here, he will know. And then, he will send his sons your way. It will take around ten to thirty minutes for them to get to you.”

“These sons of Voss, are they dangerous?” Roy raised his eyebrows at him in question.

“I have seen my fair share of grotesque creatures, but they take the number fourth spot,” Yulran replied to him.

Then Roy’s new wife spoke to him.

“Voss is immobilized. Pissing off Ninam happened to be the worst mistake of his life, and it cost him his mobility. But he is one cunning fox. He created these sons using his cunningness. They are absolutely loyal to him. It’s better to say that they are a part of him!”

Roy turned to her in interest. “Oh, tell me more.”
