Leveling Endlessly with the Strongest System!

251 The Way to Kill Voss (Part-2)

Roy was horrified to discover that the ancient myth was true and the God of Creation really existed in this universe.

However, he didn’t let the turbulence in his heart show on his face.

“What is a true being?” Roy asked Yulran.

“True beings are beings like me or the Water Celestial, beings who can breathe life into objects, turn their breaths into a living being, or make life prosper or end equally easily,” Yulran answered him.

Then, he signaled him to hear him out.

“It’s true that the current state of Voss’s soul is too strong, but he is no True Being.”

Roy’s ears perked up.

He listened attentively to his ancestors.

Yulran gave him a grave look.

“He is the opposite of that. He can’t breathe life into others, only corrupt them. The path he is on is similar to Chaos. The title of evil God suits him. He destroys and corrupts. That’s all he knows and does. His soul won’t run out of energy for thousands of years to come, and he can replenish it by absorbing the energy present in the soul of the dwellers, but he can be killed! And I know how.”

Roy’s lips hooked up into a smile.

“How?!”

“Didn’t I tell you that everything’s destined to die one day?”

“Yes, you did.”

“But you probably don’t know why. So I will tell you.”

The records of Ancient Myths weren’t easy to come by, but Yulran was willing to share them with this descendant of his. He wanted Voss dead more than anyone here, and Roy could very well become the blades he needs to kill Voss from worlds away.

Yulran shared the second part of the Ancient Myths with Roy and Roy’s wife.

“In ancient times, there were plenty of bastards with a mindset similar to Voss. They devoured the energy present in the soul of others to outlive their fate and overcome Death. It’s recorded that their souls eventually became bigger and hotter than a thousand suns after they devoured the souls of hundreds of galaxies, killing all lifeforms and destroying all celestial bodies within them.

“And then, they aimed to replace their creator and take over his throne. What they didn’t know was that before God created this universe, he created a massive fire. It was red. After burning for a thousand years, it changed color, becoming hotter than before. Every thousand years, it changed color. After burning for God knows how many years, it turned completely black.

“This fire goes by many names, but you may know it as Hell’s Fire.

“Touched by it, all the greater life forms that charged up to him died, instantly evaporating. Not even a hint of their soul could be felt after they were dealt with.”

“After that day, God tied everyone’s fate with Death and ordered the Upholders of Fate to make sure that everyone experience Death at least once in their lifetime. This is a tribulation that everyone needs to face before they become a True being.”

“You overcame death.” Roy gawked at him.

Yulran gave him a head nod. “Mm-hmm.”

“Anyway, you, of course, can’t create a fire the God of creation created and gave to Hell. And you do not need it to deal with Voss. Just the Samadhi Fire will die.”

No one in their wildest dreams could have thought that the way to kill Voss was related to a Myth. It’s just that this Myth wasn’t a mere Myth but actual events that took place long, long ago when humans and dinosaurs didn’t exist. Only True beings could sense his existence and verify that the Myths were true.

“Samadhi fire? I have heard of it.” Roy blurted out.

His main hobby was reading novels.

When he was not busy with his classes and part-time jobs, he would either rest or read a novel or two on a pirated site.

He was too poor to afford one.

Every other main character of a Xianxia novel would gain Samadhi fire or something similar in the middle or end of their journey and use it to slay their greatest enemies yet.

It was a fire that could destroy the souls of immortals.

Yulran was shocked to discover that his descendant knew of it.

He looked at Roy in interest. “Oh, where?”

Roy ruffled the back of his head, chuckling out, “In novels, haha!”

“Was there such a novel in Far West?” Yulran muttered to himself. “Humans can imagine ridiculous things. They can cook up a spicy story from nothing. So maybe someone wrote a novel with a fire like that, a fire that can kill eternal souls.”

‘He’s successfully fooled.’

Roy cheered in his heart, seeing him believing his lie.

Suddenly, his ancestor stared at him.

“It’s like this; you need Samadhi fire to deal with him. It’s a rank-14 fire. I am certain you don’t know to create it. So let me be the one who tells it to you. It can be obtained by keeping a level-13 fire burning for a month whilst infusing it with a unit of Mana every second. It’s a closely guarded secret. Consider it my wedding gift to the two of you. It’s inextinguishable and grows by devouring souls. If such a fire is used to set his soul on fire, he will die, no doubt.”

After realizing what was needed to burn away Voss’s eternal soul, Roy was certain that he could slay an evil god.

‘I can definitely kill him.’

As long as he gets skill points, he would be able to upgrade his fire-control skill.

Currently, it gave him full control over level-2 fire and also allowed him to create level-2 fire. More specifically, it allowed him to upgrade his level-1 fire to level-2!

However, if he upgrades it to level 13, then what?

It would allow him to create level-13 fire!

Then, he just needed to keep it burning for a month, and it will transform into the level-14 Samadhi fire, which is needed to deal with Voss!
