291 Realm Lord
Arlo’s fists were ferocious and packed with intense power, the likes of which Voss had never seen. They ripped apart the fabric of reality as they went towards him continuously like bullets from a machine gun, and every single one of them landed on him despite his best effort to escape their reach.
‘No matter what I do, I am unable to avoid them! Why?!’
When he tried to move out of their way, he was pushed closer to them by an inexplicable force, and when he created a shield to block them, his shield shattered. Every single time, he was left defenseless against them.
‘It’s as if I am in a world where the act of dodging his attacks can’t be registered. Just what… is this?!!!’ Voss screamed in his mind pathetically.
What he was experiencing was ridiculous and left him completely baffled, and he couldn’t make head and tail of this situation.
‘Maybe it’s that powerful. No… that can’t be real. If he has it, this person is really unbeatable!’
A glint flashed in his eyes suddenly as he speculated something. But it was too horrifying. He didn’t want to believe it. He didn’t want to believe that on top of being a divine soul herder, Arlo was also an entire stage above an aura grandmaster and had “that” power.
“Just how are you doing this? Why does every single one of your attacks have a 100% hit rate? Why am I unable to dodge them?!” Voss screamed in frustration.
By now, Arlo had destroyed more than half of his body and exploded countless of his tentacles with his fists. He had one big hole in the middle where his eye should have been and countless small holes all over his eyes. They were all see-through.
He looked rather miserable, but no one looked at him with sympathy or pitied him. He wasn’t someone deserving to be pitied as he was cruel and would have succeeded in killing them and destroying the warm lands if not for Arlo and Damien.
Everyone wanted him dead. The faster he dies, the sooner they will be able to breathe in peace.
“You can’t tell?”
Arlo’s reply was to launch another barrage of fists towards Voss. Hundreds of them advanced towards him. Out of them, only two were physically his, while the rest were made out of his Fist Force. They couldn’t be seen, but Voss could feel them because of his sixth sense, and his soul trembled. It wasn’t hard to learn Fist Force but to create so many Gigantic Fists in a split second required immense mastery over Force.
‘Even his mastery over Force is better than the current me. Is he the empire’s strongest?!’
Seeing them close in on him from all sides, Voss teleported away. He did it incredibly fast to give Arlo no chance to activate his soul herding ability, Power Defy. But the place he teleported to was right where he stood a moment ago. This scared the shit out of him.
‘I am certain he didn’t activate it. My teleportation skill wasn’t canceled. He didn’t nullify it. So why am I back here?’
While fighting him, Voss realized that to activate his ability, Arlo needed to cross his finger. His eyes were on him, and he saw that Arlo didn’t do it this time, and he also felt his teleportation skill activating. So how come he ended up in the center of a deadly trap that he tried so hard to escape?
‘Is my skill working against me?’
If a soul could cry, Voss would have been shedding buckets.
All the punches struck him. From a big fatty, he was compressed into a pancake.
“Arlo is really a jack of all trades.” Roy suddenly said.
“Why do you think so?” Damien questioned, raising his eyebrow.
Roy’s lips stretched into a smile as he joked, “Because he even knows how to slim someone down instantly.”
Upstairs, Voss sucked in a lot of air and fattened up.
“It’s quite tricky to kill him,” Arlo muttered under his breath.
“This can’t be possible without the power of the world.” Voss’s many eyes were on him, and each was filled with disbelief. “You are a realm lord?!”
Technically, Realm Lords were stronger than aura Grandmasters. The power level of an aura grandmaster couldn’t be compared to a Realm Lord. They were comparable to the Lord of the West. This stage was further divided into many stages. From low to high, they were Lord, Count, Marquis, Duke, and Emporer stage.
Each Realm Lord had a miniature world. That was the first and only requirement to ascend to such a rank. The size and strength of one’s miniature world decided what stage they were in, and it meant a lot.
For example, the miniature world of a Count couldn’t be compared to an emperor’s.
Every miniature world was unique, having different properties and laws.
The law of Arlo’s miniature world was that his attacks couldn’t be avoided.
The power roaring out of him was too similar to a Realm Lord. That’s why Voss was able to realize his truth. A realm lord was a being who possessed a miniature world and was someone he couldn’t afford to offend. After all, even when he was at the peak of his power, he was only a Realm Lord, albeit an emperor. But now that he no longer had a physical body and was only a soul, he couldn’t exhibit the power of a Realm Lord. At best, he could bully Grandmasters. That also meant that a Realm Lord could bully him.
“You realized that too late.”
Arlo nodded.
And… just like a pussy, Voss ran away from Arlo.
Whoosh!
Arlo hurtled through the clouds, chasing after him.
“How can you use its power without manifesting your miniature world?” Voss cried out in a voice full of disbelief.
Arlo grinned, “Who said I haven’t?”
“Don’t tell me…”
Voss felt awfully shocked, hearing his words.
“You are looking at it.”
Arlo caught up to him in no time and struck him again.
This time, a gigantic fist with countless archaic words rotating around it fell on Voss.
“This is infused with my third soul herding ability. What it does is quite simple. It nullifies. Once someone is struck by it, they will be eradicated. Your true soul might be able to survive. But what will happen to this avatar of yours?”
Arlo laughed uncontrollably.
“Shit…”
Because of the law of his miniature world, Voss couldn’t evade it.
That turned out to be his last word.
His avatar disintegrated into specks after the gigantic fist connected with him.
