Chapter 101: Seeking Trouble (2)
Chapter 101: Seeking Trouble (2)
Before Caren could pull the trigger of his assault weapon; Jin—who wore a strange mask—had already disappeared. Caren veered his Gun to the left. Then to the right. Where did the kid suddenly go? Then, something told him to turn around and look behind. He spun around; and a fist came colliding with his face.
Caren’s eyes were closed. He staggered. Before he could steady; he placed his finger on the trigger. Bullets fired constantly from the gun. When Caren had opened his eyes; Jin was gone. All he saw was his friends flinching in corners from his firing. Bullet shells clattering on the floor.
“Damn it, boss! You could have shot one of us!” snapped Zack.
The Mexican hobgoblin was on high alert. His eyes widened, and he pointed. “There, boss! Behind you again!” he raised his hand gun, paranoid.
Caren quickly rolled forward. After doing so; he kept low to a crouching position, pivoting around on his feet. There—in front of him—stood the teenage bastard. Before he could pull the trigger again, Jin was gone. Caren partially lowered his gun, about to turn around to secure his back from ambush. However, before he had done so; Jin appeared in the exact spot in front of him again.
Caren fumbled to raise his weapon again. He jammed the butt against his shoulder, and was about to light Jin up. Suddenly, Jin hurtled a dagger at Caren. The dagger spun in the air; and stuck right in Caren’s cheek; his head was missed by a few inches. Caren groaned in pain, but he quickly started firing again.
Jin dashed into the air. The dagger that remained in Caren’s face had suddenly appeared in Jin’s hand. Jin hurtled the dagger at Caren again. Caren raised his gun higher up at the figure in the air. His finger inched closer to the trigger. When out of nowhere, a dagger penetrated his neck. His aim was thrown off. Caren fired perpetually nonetheless, screaming atop his lungs.
Jin kept dashing right and left. Caren couldn’t hit him. What appeared to be another dagger came flipping toward him. Caren stopped firing, and raised his forearm. The dagger had impaled his forearm. He then took aim at Jin again. “I need fucking help, you arseholes! Cover me!”
The three other gang members stood behind Caren. They raised their guns, and started firing at the distorted figure who kept teleporting. Zack remained the furthest behind the rest of men. He feared people with abilities. The police have already done enough harm to him.
Zack clenched his teeth. He fired relentlessly at the figure. He couldn’t have his boss, and his partners killed. Zack felt a presence behind him. A blade ran accross Zack’s neck. The blade remained in his neck. His eyes bulged. He spun around. An elbow hit him to the face. He stumbled. A foot kicked him to his stomach. He doubled over. The dagger had suddenly disappeared from his neck. He quickly raised his head. The dagger suddenly bolted toward his head. It penetrated his brain. He collapsed. Quietus.
The Mexican hobgoblin heard something tud from behind. He quickly turned around. Jin dashed toward him. He hesitated. He quickly opened fire. Jin dashed left. He redirected his gun. Jin suddenly teleported to him; and thrust the dagger into his heart. He gasped. His eyes widened.
Jin smirked. He yanked the dagger out of the hobgoblin’s body. The hobgoblin collapsed. From the time he had collapsed; Jin received two shots to his body from ahead. He groaned. More shots came his way. He dashed left. Bullets spreaded to his right. A single bullet came darting toward him. He quickly dashed left again, slamming into an alley wall. The bullet grazed his cheek. He knotted his brows.
He dashed forward. More shots came his way. He dashed thrice to his left. He quickly strode across the wall. Running upon the wall; he dashed. He kicked off the wall. He spin-kicked the other hobgoblin to his face. The hobgoblin had collapsed. He dashed to the right thrice. His body slammed into the wall. Shots were bursting to his right. He quickly teleported to the fallen hobgoblin.
The hobgoblin raised from the ground. From the time he had got on his feet, a dagger slashed him to his stomach. Then to his chest. To his neck. And finally, it punctured his head. He collapsed.
The figure with the expensive watch shouted, “Miguel!” He trembled; raising his gun.
Jin had suddenly vanished. He had then reappeared in a random place in the street. He clenched his teeth. He had received shots to his mid body. It was hard for the passers-by to recognize; given that he had been wearing a black hoodie jacket.
He looked at his system screen. Why hadn’t he finished the first pestering task yet? He had already dealt the ten damage.

“This is new,” Jin said.
[HP: 22/38]
[Effect: Bleeding]
Jin’s mask had disappeared. He forced a smirk. “Bullets do a lot more damage than I thought. Oh well,” he shrugged, “I’ll hurry up and finish them off before I bleed out.”
He reappeared where Caren and his final gang member remained. Jin was surprised they hadn’t ran away. Their backs were against each other, and they kept their guns raised. Jin scoffed.
“There he is, boss! At my twelve!”
“You fire! I’ve got your back in case he tries to ambush you, Johnathan!”
Johnathon started firing. “And I’ve got yours!”
Jin dodged relentlessly. He was too fast. And while easily evading; his body began to distort. Another identical figure—with Jin’s physique—emerged from Jin’s body. Johnathan hadn’t seen this before!
“What happened!? There are two of him now!”
“Continue firing!”
The two Jins lunged toward Caren and Johnathan. One in the front; one at the back. Caren opened fire on the clone; hitting it only twice, given that it was constantly dodging.
Suddenly; the clone disappeared. Jin teleported min front of Caren, and slashed at his mid body. Before Caren could open fire; Jin had long vanished. Jin appeared in front of Johnathan, slashing at his mid body. Johnathan doubled over. Jin had vanished. Jin then reappeared in front of Caren; knocking his assault rifle out of his hand with a powerful kick. Jin then slashed Caren to his stomach. Caren’s entire body tinged green; and he became paralyzed. Jin—eyes glowing—vanished again. He reappeared in front of Johnathan; thrusting his dagger into his brain. He released the dagger and reappeared in front of Caren. He closed his hand. The dagger manifested. He raised the dagger, and stabbed Caren to his brain. Then he vanished again.
Jin had reappeared quite near a wall of the same alley. He slumped against the wall, folding his arms; as the two human bodies collapsed. His mask disappeared. Smirking, he shifted focus to his system screen.

[HP: 18/38]
Jin smirked. “That should patch me up for the next fight. I am going to need all the health I can get.”
Suddenly, a strange mist appeared in front of Jin. And out of this mist, stepped a four legged creature with fierce, green glowing eyes. Benji. He stared at Jin, unblinkingly.
Jin grinned. “I saw your requests to be beckoned while fighting them. I’m sorry I had to reject. I was a little rusty after those three days of solitary, and needed a thrill. However,” Jin raised his index finger, “Shots were fired. Some dangerous cops will arrive any second now—and we’re,” he smirked, “not going anywhere. So you’ll get to help me out.”
Coincidentally, loud police sirens sounded in the streets. Jin’s eyes began to glow. “Well,” he said, “speak of the devils.”
