Miss Cousin is Always Busy

Chapter 228.1

Chapter 228.1

Tang Qianqiu originally thought that the girl before her would be scared or surprised by her words. However, that did not happen. Instead, Jun Zishu smiled, looking like she was very happy.

“Do you hate him?”

Tang Qianqiu could think of no other possibility. Otherwise, why would Jun Zishu smile so happily when she heard that her husband might get disowned.

“Not really. I just want some people to get what they deserve,” Jun Zishu said as she looked down at her abdomen. She would not and could not keep the child between Jian Qing and Qiu Ziqian. If she chose to keep the child, not only would she have to take a completely different approach to complete her mission, but she would also be plagued by endless problems.

Tang Qianqiu didn’t know what was going on in Jun Zishu’s mind. When she saw Jun Zishu’s actions, she thought her daughter-in-law was trying to get revenge on Qiu Ziqian for her child.

“You can consider divorce,” Tang Qianqiu suggested.

“Do you not want me to be your daughter-in-law anymore, Mom?” Jun Zishu asked as she looked at Tang Qianqiu, her expression looking a little pitiful.

Tang Qianqiu felt her heart cramp in pain when she heard Jun Zishu’s words. To hell with this mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship.

Meanwhile, Jun Zishu was having a lot of fun teasing Tang Qianqiu. She was taking full advantage of the fact that her lover did not remember their past.

Jun Zishu never had such an evil hobby in the past. However, after putting it into practice, she found that it was quite appealing in its own way.

“We can still be a family. We don’t necessarily have to be in-laws.”

Tang Qianqiu stared at Jun Zishu’s face, scrutinizing the girl’s reaction.

“Mom, do you mean to say that…you want me to become your daughter?” Jun Zishu asked in surprise, her words giving Tang Qianqiu another blow to the heart.

Tang Qianqiu took deep breaths to calm herself. She couldn’t blame her daughter-in-law for thinking so. No normal woman would ever think that her mother-in-law was trying to become her wife. No normal person would be able to accept such a situation, either.

Tang Qianqiu understood how problematic her current relationship with Jun Zishu was. Even so, she did not wish to give up. She simply couldn’t hold back the desires within her. These emotions had appeared suddenly and violently, and there was nothing she could do to suppress them. These emotions were so overwhelming that they had warped her mind. Now, rather than question why she was having such unethical thoughts, she was thinking of how she could get around to accomplishing these thoughts.

I must be going crazy…

“No need to be nervous, Mom. I was just joking with you. I get what you’re trying to say. I will definitely divorce Qiu Ziqian, but not right now,” Jun Zishu said as she placed her hand on top of Tang Qianqiu’s. their skin transferring their warmth to each other. “How can I grant their wish of being together so easily?”

“I will help you take care of this matter,” Tang Qianqiu said. She doubted her son would go against her orders.

“No, I want to do it myself,” Jun Zishu said, shaking her head. “If you forcibly separate them, even if Qiu Ziqian separates with Bai Yuwan on the surface, his heart will still be thinking about her. I do not wish to see such a situation. If they so desperately want to be together, so be it. However, once they get together, I will make them realize each other’s true faces. Then, with your help, Mom, I will make it so that they can’t separate even if they want to. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they are forced to see each other’s faces even if they hate each other?”

Jun Zishu wore a warm smile as she spoke. Yet, the words that came out of her mouth were anything but warm.

Jun Zishu’s plan was simple. Since Bai Yuwan liked stealing other people’s husbands so much, Jun Zishu would let her rise to the position of wife successfully. However, once Bai Yuwan got into that position, whether she could leave that position would no longer be up to her to decide.

“Do you think I’m a bad girl for having such thoughts, Mom?” Jun Zishu asked as she looked at Tang Qianqiu. However, while her words might sound like they were filled with worry, her expression showed otherwise. It was as if she was certain Tang Qianqiu wouldn’t be surprised or appalled by her words.

“I won’t. No matter what you want to do, I will help you with everything,” Tang Qianqiu said as she held Jun Zishu’s hand. She could feel that her heart was pumping actively because of the person in front of her.

After staying like this for a moment, Tang Qianqiu reached for the congee Qiu Ziqian placed at the bedside table, opened the lid, and scooped up some warm congee with the disposable spoon provided. Then, after blowing at the congee a few times, she moved the spoon to Jun Zishu’s mouth and said, “Here, eat your congee.”

Jun Zishu ate the congee one mouthful after another with a smile on her face, obediently letting Tang Qianqiu feed her.

Tang Qianqiu was a busy person. She had a lot of work waiting for her, so she couldn’t remain by Jun Zishu’s side all day. Thus, despite her reluctance, she had no choice but to leave with her assistant after she was done feeding Jun Zishu. Before leaving, Tang Qianqiu told Jun Zishu that she would come back once she was done with her work and to call her should anything come up.

Jun Zishu nodded and watched as Tang Qianqiu left the ward.

“I’ve already rearranged your schedule, Boss. For today, you’ll first have to attend a meeting. Then, you’ll have a contract to negotiate with Danan Corporation. However, since you aren’t free to leave the country right now, I have already contacted the other party, and they’ve agreed to our request to hold an online meeting with us.”

Jerry meticulously reported Tang Qianqiu’s updated schedule as they walked out of the hospital. Meanwhile, for the first time in her life, Tang Qianqiu started to loathe her busy schedule.

“Put together the documents that need my perusal and signature and send them to Jian Qing’s ward.”

“Are you going to process the documents there, Boss?”

“Yes.”

Jerry was honestly a little surprised when he heard Tang Qianqiu’s instructions. This was unlike Tang Qianqiu’s normal behavior. His employer rarely paid attention to her son, let alone her daughter-in-law. During these past two years, the only times she had ever returned home was to celebrate New Year. When it came time for her son’s and daughter-in-law’s birthdays, she would only have him send some gifts back home.

At one point, Jerry had even suspected that Tang Qianqiu did not know what her daughter-in-law looked like, so he was very surprised to see his boss going out of her way to visit her daughter-in-law and showing her daughter-in-law so much care.

However, when Jerry saw the indifferent expression Tang Qianqiu currently wore, he was certain that his boss was still the same person underneath. She hadn’t been abducted and replaced by aliens or anything of the sort.

“Alright.’

Jerry nodded. Since his employer had instructed him as such, all he needed to do was get it done. His boss disliked others meddling in her private life, even if she had little to no private to speak of.

Jun Zishu fell asleep after Tang Qianqiu left. Her body remained injured and exhausted, so she needed to rest to recover.

Fortunately, her injuries weren’t particularly severe. Aside from a mild concussion and a sprained foot, she didn’t suffer any other injuries. And while the miscarriage was an unfortunate incident, it wasn’t a huge problem for Jun Zishu.

Shortly after Jun Zishu woke up, a visitor arrived in her ward.

When the smell of perfume flowed into her nose, Jun Zishu didn’t even need to open her eyes to know who had visited. It was the original owner’s best friend, Xu Qinglin.

Xu Qinglin was Jian Qing’s childhood friend, and the two held no secrets from each other. Xu Qinglin was three years older than Jian Qing, and she had always taken care of Jian Qing like an elder sister. When Jian Qing’s family met with tragedy, Xu Qinglin had helped out a lot.

Xu Qinglin and Jian Qing could be considered birds of the same feather in the past. Both of them had gentle personalities, though Xu Qinglin had a more competitive personality.

Xu Qinglin got married earlier than Jian Qing. Her fate was also slightly more miserable than Jian Qing’s. At the very least, Jian Qing had thought she had married into happiness, and this dream had lasted for two years. Xu Qinglin, on the other hand, had her dream shattered just half a year into her marriage.

The man Xu Qinglin married came from a family wealthier than hers. The man was ten years older than her, and their marriage had started as a business marriage. Hence, when Xu Qinglin initially married her husband, she did so with a carefree attitude. However, no girl could refuse an older man’s loving care. Shortly after their marriage, Xu Qianlin fell under the man’s gentle assault.

Unfortunately, half a year into their marriage, Xu Qinglin discovered that her husband had cheated on her. Xu Qinglin had made a huge deal out of it, and she cried a lot when she visited Jian Qing to vent her emotions. Even her usual pride couldn’t keep her from shedding tears.

However, Xu Qinglin did not divorce her husband. She couldn’t do so, and neither would her parents allow it. They had even told her that since she had already sat in the position of wife, she needed to have a more generous attitude. They told her that she didn’t need to care about the mistresses her husband had outside and that she’d be lowering her status if she tried to deal with them.

Meanwhile, on the third time Xu Qingling caught her husband cheating, she had started to change as well.

She stopped dressing like a gentle and generous lady, opting to dress like a little demoness instead. Black and red became her new favorite colors, and perfume and high heels became her new weapons.
