Chapter 184 Goin All Out
“The Lightning Dweller faction must think highly of me to have sent someone like you,” Alex said as he made his sword blazed with saber intent.
“You are right about the Lightning Dweller faction thinking highly of you, but they didn’t send me.”
“I came here to test your strength personally because I wanted to unravel the secrets of the person who can defeat two lieutenants and Heinz without proper skills and clear the trail with such excellent performance.”
“You didn’t disappoint me, and now I know why Lady Telyssa spoke so highly of you and even went as far as claiming you to have the potential to become one of the chosen,” Hurobak said, keeping his menacing smile.
‘What is he talking about, and what is a chosen.’ Alex thought, confused by the new information.
Alex didn’t believe Hurobak was lying because he had no reason to feed him false information, which made him even more confused.
‘I will eventually find out what he is talking about.’ Alex dropped all unnecessary thoughts and focused on his current situation.
“I will tell you all the details of what is happening in the shadows, but you must stay alive for the next 91 seconds to learn about it.”
“Now, if you want to use any other strength boost skills, you should do it now because I am not going to hold back,” Hurobak said as he placed his great sword into his space ring.
‘I don’t know if using Rage Embodiment would be overkill, but I am not going to underestimate him and regret it after getting killed and forced to stay logged out for seven days.’ Alex thought, activating the skill.
Alex heard the system notifications and felt his strength pushed to the limit, and with a calm mind yet excited heart, he opened his eyes, locking them with the grinning predator.
“You better not get traumatized after I decapitate your head,” Alex replied emotionlessly, eager to push his limits again at the peak of his strength.
“GRARARA”
Hurobak laughed at the remark while his hands got covered in tendrils of lighting that took the shape of massive claws, his arms got covered in veins, and his aura reached a new height crashing on Alex like a giant boulder.
‘The Rage Embodiment definitely wouldn’t be an overkill.’ Alex thought, feeling the sheer mana pressure and killing intent getting released by the wolf, but he still had a grin.
“BOOOMM”
After a moment of silence, Hurobak swung his claw, and Alex met it with a darkness slash, and with the clash, both of them got pushed back, with Alex winning in the contest of strength but not by a dominant margin.
‘Phantom Walk’
Alex stabilized his footing covered his blade with saber intent, boosted his attack with mana, and vanished from his place.
Alex appeared before the towering wolf charging toward his mirage and swung his saber targeting the Hurobak’s neck, to which he retaliated by swinging both his claws oozing with red lightning.
‘Four Fold Death Point’
Alex appeared behind the Hurobak and instantly thrust his saber forward four times at a lightning-quick pace to target the heart area, sending four-pitch dark beams of energy.
The dark beams pierced the muscular back of the creature without facing any resistance and ripped their way to the other side, leaving behind four holes.
‘The combination skill worked, but my aim was way off.’ Alex thought as he jumped back, avoiding a giant burst of lightning.
Hurobak turned around, still having a broad grin even though the four holes on his body were bleeding profusely, drenching his white fur in blood Red.
Alex’s attack did the damage he wanted, but his aim was a mess, and out of the four energy beams, only one landed near the heart, while two landed near the spine and last on the shoulder.
The injuries Hurobak received were bad, but they were not crippling or posed any serious threat to his life or his ability to battle at his peak.
“You missed your chance,” Hurobak said, slamming his foot on the ground, making a giant magic circle appear.
“Lightning Cage”
Alex used the phantom step to leave the area covered by the magic, but he was stopped by the wall of lightning that threw him back while giving him a numbing shock.
Alex watched as the magic circle quickly disappeared, leaving behind a giant dome of lightning, and knowing he was trapped, he swiftly turned around to look for his opponent.
Alex located Hurobak standing high in the air with two giant fists made from red lightning behind him, and without an ounce of delay, he started throwing empty punches. ππ²ππ§πΌπ―ππ₯οΌππ¨πΊ
“Lighting Fist Demolition.”
Hurobak roared, and the giant fist of lightning descended on Alex, who started dodging by maneuvering throw them, but each impact generated a shock wave and sent tendrils of lightning around, which thinned the places he could escape to.
‘At this rate, I will get either hammered into the ground or the ground will break, and the boiling lava will claim my life.’ Alex thought, seeing the solid ground having minor cracks.
Alex knew that Hurobak wouldn’t be stopping anytime soon because he had him in a perfect situation, and he also didn’t need to worry about saving his mana.
‘Let’s first get rid of this barrier.’ Alex thought
‘Dark Flame Meteor’
Alex sprinted into action, summoning giant dark flame meteors outside the barrier, and in mere moments, the meteors were completed and started their free fall toward the barrier.
Alex watched in anticipation for the meteor to tear through the barrier, and from the corner of his eye, he saw Hurobak stop throwing lightning fists and turn toward the barrier and falling meteors.
Alex’s grin vanished, seeing Hurobak release a bolt of lightning toward the barrier, creating a giant opening just in time for the meteors to pass through.
‘Phantom Walk’
“Lightning Burst”
‘Air Jump’
Alex used the phantom walk skill aiming to leave the barrier, but the exit got blocked with giant tendrils of lightning ready to burn through him, and at the last moment, he used created mana footing to change his trajectory and land safely.
“BOOOOMMMMM”x5
The meteors crashed, making the floor crack from multiple locations, spewing boiling lava while the dark flame from the meteor spread in all directions.
“Now, Let’s fight to the death,” Hurobak said, landing at the other edge of the barrier.
Alex understood that Hurobak wasn’t aiming for him with his lightning fists, but his target was the floor to break it enough to hinder Alex’s phantom walk skill, and the meteors just helped him achieve that faster.
“AWOOOOOO”
‘Minor Null Energy’
Hurobak roared and sprinted toward Alex swinging his lightning-covered claws, which Alex met with his energy-coated saber, and in mere moments, they exchanged tens of blows.
“You are full of surprises,” Hurobak said, looking at his bloody claws.
‘This is bad.’ Alex thought, seeing Hurobak’s wounds recovering at a visible pace while the floor was being flooded with lava.
‘Let’s hope this works.’ Alex thought, brainstorming an idea to end the battle.
‘Miasma Field’
‘Doppelganger’
Alex used the miasma field to create a forty feet circle of pitch darkness and then used Doppelganger skill behind a protruding rock to his right side, away from Hurobak’s sight.
“The same trick will not work on me twice, even if you use a smoke screen,” Hurobak said as he sprinted forward, swinging his claws that had recovered to their peak.
Alex moved forward and started exchanging blows with Hurobak while counting the ten seconds his Doppelganger needed to complete.
The seconds slowly ticked down, and the instant Alex felt the mana link with his Doppelganger, he jumped back, creating distance from Hurobak before vanishing into thin air.
‘Phantom Walk’
Alex appeared behind Hurobak, swinging his blade, and was met with a burst of lightning, and using the phantom walk once again, he vanished and appeared above Hurobak, swinging his saber covered in pitch darkness.
“I told you this won’t work twice,” Hurobak said as he stepped back, opened his jaw wide, and released a breath of dark red lightning.
Alex tried to evade the breath, but his left side was devoured in its entirety, completely incinerating it, leaving behind half his body with wide-open eye filled with horror.
Hurobak smiled, seeing his countermeasure work as planned with his enemy body crashing in front of him, but he was not able to enjoy the moment of victory as he felt the extreme danger to his life, his bestial instinct screaming at him.
“Congratulations, You completed your goal,” Alex said, as his blade covered in mana, null energy, and saber instant sliced through Hurobak’s neck, decapitating him instantly.
‘HAA HAA HAA,’
‘I didn’t know my Doppelganger’s death would sting so badly.’ Alex thought as he landed on the ground panting with a somewhat twisted expression.
Alex looked at the decapitated head of the wolf, which had its eyes open wide, still in disbelief at what just occurred while his mountain of a body slammed to the ground.
