Chapter 361 Putting on a Show

Chapter 361 Putting on a Show

It took moments before the live stream started to attract attention because it was shared on the official forum, so everyone knew it had to be the real organization.

Tens of thousands of viewers joined in every passing moment, and even with the screen being pitch dark, they were sharing it across every available platform.

In just three minutes, the viewer count skyrocketed to a hundred million, and with Alex having set the comment section to just faction leaders, the comment sections were not a complete mess.

The second most repeated line in the comments was asking about the purpose of the live stream, with the first being, in one way or another, asking if or when the organization was going to open the domain to every player.

After three minutes of silence, happy with the viewer count, Alex took out tens of orbs a few millimeters in diameter before covering them with mana and throwing them into the air.

In an instant, tiny wings barely visible to the eyes sprung open and moved, and like having a life of theirs, the tiny orbs moved rapidly, creating a circle with Alex as the center.

The small orbs were the best cameras sold by Zero, capable of capturing everything in three-sixty for hundreds of meters to the tiniest of details, while the streaming web could adjust the feed to give the best live stream to the viewers.

After the cameras were up and operating, Alex started the stream, and the previously pitch-black screen transitioned to reveal him from the torso up, wearing a confident smile. A hush fell over the chat, creating a brief moment of silence.

“Greetings, everyone. I appreciate each and every one of you being here with me today.”

“I am Aeon, the chapter master of the Eclipse Vanquishers chapter of the Shadow Oblivion organization,” Alex said, staying silent for a few moments to let his words settle.

“As the representative of my organization, I have several announcements that will likely answer many of your questions and also be well-received by most of you.”

“But before we get into that, I need to make a statement,” Alex said, his words deliberate and measured, accompanied by a calm smile before the camera panned out, showing two towering giants standing behind him.

The cameras did their job as, in an instant, two smaller windows were visible on the live stream showing the status window of the two puppets, and the chat that had come to life for a moment turned dead silent.

“I am a few hundred meters away from the city of Valhalla, and after I raise it to the ground, I will be visiting the city of Olympus and then the city of Heliopolis to do the same to them,”

“My organization is taking this step to send a message to those in power that we are not weak and annoy us anymore and cross the line again, and it won’t be just three cities that we destroy, but it would be those powers that we will erase from the face of the Ancient world,” Alex said, as chaos energy sprouts from his back, cloaking him in an aura of ever-shifting shades of the dark.

The energy Condensed to take the form of giant wings that had uneven engages like serrated blades cloaked in dense energy, and the moment they fully formed, Alex took off toward the city in the valley below. π‘™π‘–π˜£π“‡π‘’π’Άπ˜₯.π‘β„΄π‘š

Alex stopped above the barrier protecting the city with the small orbe swiftly following him, with two battle pipettes appearing beside him like two ghosts.

Tens of thousands of players were already looking toward him, with more rushing out from the tens of buildings with clear shock visible on their faces.

The guild leaders, having recovered from the initial shock of the wild statement, started to comment on their views while the viewer numbers were skyrocketing, already reaching one hundred forty million.

Alex didn’t need to wait for long as a handsome man adorned in blue and white armor with long flowing blue hair and a sword strapped to his waist zoomed toward him like a flash of light and stopped before him.

“You are making a mistake,” The man said, his aura going wild, his expression hardened, and seething with anger.

“Baldur, the third elder of the Asgardian guild, Your higher ups should have considered the consequences when they crossed the line with us,”

“Your guild has three minutes to pick an individual to battle me, and if he can stay alive for sixty seconds, I will leave your city unscathed, and if he can’t, then only rubble would be left when I leave this place,”

“Olympian guild and Egyptian guild, you should also prepare the person you want to defend your city because I am not going to wait when I come to visit your cities,” Alex said with a smile while Baldur stood rooted in place with a lost look in eyes not knowing what he should do.

Baldur was one of the strongest rankers, and as the elder of the top-ranked guild, he had mountain-like pride, and rightfully so.

However, now he was in a pickle because he stood before a man threatening to destroy the place he called second home, but he couldn’t do anything besides controlling his emotions to not lash out.

Baldur snapped back to reality when he received a call from the person he held in the highest regard, second only to his parents. After listening to what his guild master had to say, a warm smile graced his face, and his heartbeat gradually returned to a more serene pace.

“Guild Master Odin Will be here in a few seconds,” Baldur said out loud to send a message to everyone who was watching and also to his guild members.

Alex watched as cheers erupted in the city like they knew that they were saved, and the same was the reaction from guild leaders in the stream chat.

The guild leaders commented that the organization was strong, but they knew better than to go to war with the top three guilds, so this was all pre-planned, and they were just putting on a show.

All manner of theories were flooding the chat and the forums, and by now, even news in the real world was covering his Livestream, but Alex knew that the only way the cities were not going down was if someone capable of standing against his guardians showed up to stop him.

After forty seconds passed, Alex shifted his eyes toward the palace in the center of the city as he sensed a strong aura coming from that place, and moments later, a figure appeared before him.

The man stood 6.4ft in height, his physique resembling a carved statue, with a mature, handsome face, light golden beard, and shoulder-length hair. His eyes, misty golden, shimmered like stars, and covering his body was golden light armor with a spear strapped to his back.

Alex’s eyes turned pitch dark, and his aura surged like a roaring ocean, meeting the mana pressure placed on him as he stared at the man proclaimed to be the strongest in the eyes.

“Is this your organization’s way of saying that you are ready to make a deal?” Odin said, his deep voice echoing through the surroundings only to be drowned by the cheers of his guild’s enthusiastic fangirls.

“By taking your home, we are giving you a message that next time you take the home of an innocent man away, you won’t be just losing a city,”

“Now, when you are ready, we can start your sixty seconds,” Alex said, making Odin break into laughter.

“You are serious?” Odin asked, his hearty laughter abruptly shifting to a cold expression in an instant.

“It’s best if we don’t start this war because it won’t end well for any of us, especially for your organization,” Odin warned, his tangible aura emanating a suffocating, killing intent.

“It was your individuals who started it, and we are just repaying it, so starting a war or not would be your choice to make,”

“But for now, you have a minute and thirty-seven seconds left before your sixty seconds start,” Alex said as he prepared to face the man he had only admired and seen in the videos.

“Odin, What the fuck are chatering on about? Kill this fuck face and be done with it,” A voice echoed, and Alex peered and saw it was Thor, the figure second in command of the guild.

“After I pummel you to the brink of death, we can discuss once again,” Odin declared, his aura surging beyond the capabilities of a peak fourth Rank.

Runes began to envelop his entire body, concealed beneath the armor, with only his neck and face showing the hundreds of runes crawling like ants on his body.

Alex knew Odin was using ‘Yggdrasil’s Embrace,’ his trump card skill that granted him a boost in every aspect of his strength, elemental mastery, attacks, and even accelerated healing.

The public knew very little about Odin’s legacy, but they knew it was a type of battlemage legacy, yet it was not fixed to one element, as he was seen using space, light, lightning, and various other elements and did so to great mastery.

Odin was seen as the strongest on the same Rank, but Alex knew it was only because of his broken skill set, wild stats, and genius in battle.

But the current Alex dominated Odin in all fields, and to counter the boost from his skill, he just needed to use the Dragon Might to win the battle.

However, he decided to use the Ruler Pride to end the battle in sixty seconds and do so with complete dominance, sacrificing a hundred points for using it and ten for keeping it active for one minute.
