Chapter 344 Fighting A God
The fear of death kicked in as Max felt his senses heightened to the extreme.
If he did not do anything, within seconds him and Mira were going to become toasted meat.
There was a tier 6 dragon chasing them and he needed to think of something and fast to save their lives.
The gears in Max’s head started to turn in full speed as he used the only move he could think of to slow down the massive Dragon.
[ Giant Summoning ]
Max summoned his 3 giants and asked them to leap onto the dragon as one of them grabbed the white dragon god’s tail, another one tackled its body while the third hung onto its neck.
*Kaboom*
[ Dragons Breath ]
[ Tail swipe ]
The tier6 dragon killed the three dragon’s brutally.
The one hanging by its neck was shot by Dragons Breath, burning away it’s lower body half to oblivion.
The one hanging by its tail was flung away into the distance as the one hanging by its body was pierced by the same tail and killed on the spot.
All of this took the tier6 dragon about 3 seconds to accomplish as he focused right back on Max and Mira after that.
Within those three seconds, Max had ordered Mira to keep running as he himself turned to face the dragon as he began to leap from branch to branch, trying to climb to the peak of the nearest tree.
[ Fireblast ]
Max used Fireblast from an angle that the dragon wasn’t looking at to pull off a trick he had learnt in the mirror world.
His perfect clone would often shoot a fireblast from an angle that would deliberately miss Max’s body as the purpose of that attack was not to injure the enemy but to create a distraction.
It was just like a magician’s diversion of attention to pull off a magic trick, as while the audience was focused on the object he was trying to hide, the magician was using sleight of hands to get the desired result.
Max was taking a big gamble with this, as the response time of a godly dragon was sure to be beyond the realm of common sense, however, having no other option it was a gamble he had to make. 𝙗𝒆𝙙𝒏𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡.𝙣𝙚𝒕
The fireblast narrowly missed the dragon’s legs, as the white dragon bent it’s head for a second to look at the passing attack at which moment Max leapt from the top of the tree in an attempt to land on the dragon’s head.
[ Fake Out ]
Max activated Fake Out, as just as he had expected, within a split second the dragon was once again In focus as it stared straight into Max’s eyes.
Max saw its big mouth open as he could see an orange fire brewing inside.
‘ I hope this fucking works ‘ Max thought as he could feel his heart jumping out of his chest.
[ Dragon’s Breath ]
The dragon used a terrifying Dragons Breath on Max at point blank range as it was sure to obliterate even a tier 5 warrior to ashes.
However, Max was no ordinary warrior.
He had the Agni-Astra which provided him with unprecedented fire resistance as despite the terrifying blast he while he received exceptional damage, he was able to persist through the heat.
-250,000 CRITICAL HIT!
Max plunged his sword inside the open inner jaw of the godly dragon, as it abruptly cut off its dragon breath to make sense of what was going on.
At this instance, Using the sword as a lever Max launched himself in a forward spin as he used all his body’s elasticity and athleticism to land on the head of the tier6 dragon.
*RAWRRRRRRR*
The dragon roared in pain, about 10% of his HP bar had been reduced by Max in a single attack as it could not comprehend how anyone could resist the effects of such a powerful dragon fire from point blank range.
Had Max only had a single piece of the Agni Astra, he would have died from this attack, but since he had two pieces he was able to come out of this blast with only second degree burns and a 40% HP bar.
Although he took the attack for only 2 seconds, he lost 30% of his HP every second until he plunged his sword into the enemy’s jaw, forcing it to stop.
If Max had only been two more seconds slower, he would have been charred meat by now.
Max felt his connection with his sword from early days die out, as [ Raveslasher ] was melted to scrap metal by the heat of the dragon’s breath, however, Max had no time to grieve for the loss of his weapon.
Pulling out BloodSucker, his other sword, Max plunged it as hard as he could against the dragon’s skull, trying to penetrate through his hard scales that were as strong as 3 inch thick stainless steel plates.
Max was only able to make a minor insertion before his plunge was stopped by the hard dragon plate, as the dragon began to try and hit Max with its tail, but soon realised that it was about 3 feet too short.
In his time at the university for nourishment of young talents, Max had read a book called ‘ How to slay a dragon ‘ in which the author had explained the anatomy of a dragon and said that if one was able to stay on top of its skull, he would be safe from the dragon’s claws, breath and tail.
The top of the skull was an unreachable spot for dragon’s, as they could not directly attack someone on top.
Realising that he could not touch Max, the dragon began to roll in the sky violently, trying to shake Max off, however, the slightly plunged sword provided Max with enough grip to not be thrown off, as Max knew that this was his one chance to deal maximum damage.
[ Fire Compression ]
[ Inferno ]
Max began compressing his inferno spell to its maximum possible level, as the original tier2 spell was enhanced to the peak of tier4 using the Agni-Astra’s power multiplier and became a tier 5 spell with fire compression times maximum.
If this attack failed, Max had no other plans.
If it did not do the job, he was as good as dead.
