Chapter 720 Selection
The final section that Max visited within the universal warehouse was an absurd one.
It was titled ‘ Fated Objects ‘ and was pretty much a collection of items, spells, books and weapons.
The reason why it was labelled as ‘ Fated Objects ‘ was because the item selection within this section was not unidirectional.
If one wanted to pick an item from this section, the item needed to pick the user and vice versa. π·β―πΉππΈπΏβ―π.πΈβ΄πΆ
Only and only if there was fate between the user and the item, would the item reveal its identity for the user to inspect, otherwise it would only be an empty grey slot upon inspection.
Max had no idea if he had fate with any objects within this section so he just arbitrarily strolled through the section while his mind was occupied with thoughts of what he needed to pick for his final selection.
But as he passed a particular book that he had not even glanced over, he felt an unseen connection to the object as his footsteps halted by themselves and he felt like he had to read the book.
The book was titled [ The Primal God Of War ] and as Max touched its cover he inadvertently buckled to his knees and began sweating profusely.
Max felt scenes flash by in his own brain about a guy who shared the same red eyes as him who wrote this book a long time ago-
He had no idea what was written inside the book, but his instincts were screaming at him to choose this particular book as his final choice.
Through much difficulty, Max flipped the book over to view its backside and on there was written a short synopsis in golden ink.
‘ Only great wars bring great peace. Only through sacrifice does society understand the virtue of Order ‘
It seemed to be some deep philosophical quote, but it wasn’t far from the truth either.
Max through his experiences in the universe understood that these words written by the author were apt even in modern times and somehow he made a snap decision to make this book his final choice.
It wasn’t a thoughtless decision per-se, as he was somehow sure about the worth of the object, but if he tried to do a cost-benefit analysis of it against everything he had seen yet then he knew he would be indecisive and would dally around for hours more within the universal warehouse without making a choice.
[ System Notification – Are you sure you wish to choose the book of the Primal God Of War as your final choice? ]
[ Yes
No ]
Max clicked yes and immediately the book was transferred to his inventory as his consciousness was returned to his body in the small underground prison cell.

(Meanwhile In the Dimensional Battlefield)
Without the opposition of monarchs and with enemy tier7 and 6 god’s fleeing like flies, the disc raids became a piece of cake for the light faction raiding parties.
The morale of the dark faction troops hit a rock bottom when they lost two discs within a span of four days and the war seemed all but over.
Without their strongest fighters from the upper echelon, they were pretty much cannon fodder for exp grinding at this point as they had no answer for their light faction counterparts who wielded divine strength.
Judging the situation, Micheal had put up an ultimatum to give an opportunity to the opposition to surrender and if over 90% of the remaining dark faction troops agreed to surrender, effectively ending the war, he had promised that they would not be executed or sold as slaves in the new reformed universe, but rather given a fair opportunity for a new start.
The ball was in the court of the dark faction now and they had 6 hours to decide whether they wanted annihilation or peace.

( Meanwhile Severus )
Addressing a small crowd of not more than 500 people, Severus stood on the walls of the Aurelius fort within the dimensional battlefield and addressed a crowd of soldiers that belonged to various different clans and had the duty of manning the walls.
” Honourable fighters, brothers and sisters who have fought shoulder to shoulder in this great war, heed my voice today for the topic of my discussion is of grave importance.
We are all told by our elders since childhood the story of the blood manipulators, the evil primordial vampires who had no control over their bloodlust and would kill even their own wives to fulfil their desire to drink blood.
I, Severus Saint Maximus, an underling of Ravan Bloodfall or now Max Rajput, by no means support the primordial vampires.
No-
If Max is a primordial vampire, I’d also be one of the people who would wish for him to be on a pike.
But I just like all of you have seen him fight for the vampire society and have not seen him ferociously drinking the blood of others.
He is an honourable lord and a hero of the vampire society, yet upon the dirty allegations of demons.
Mind you, the same demons who wanted to destroy our disc and he fought against outnumbered, killing 100’s of them alone!
Those same demons alleged him of being one and ON the allegation of dark faction demons, our Lord was imprisoned without a trial and it’s been 2 days since that incident and not even a primary investigation has been scheduled.
Brothers.
We all love and respect the King, but thisβ¦.. this is not fair β¦..
If we can’t even protect the honour of our heroes, people who have bravely given their lives for the Vampire society, what have we even fought this war for? ” Severus said as he activated his special voice manipulation skill, controlling the emotions of the crowd on the palm of his hands.
” If you agree with me, please I request all of you to join me in the chant to free Max Rajput, so that the king may hear it inside his quarter and realise that his subjects are demanding answers.
On 3β¦.
3β¦2β¦..1β¦
‘ JUSTICE FOR MAX! FREE THE INNOCENT ‘ ”
Severus kept counting down from 3 to 1 and slowly but surely more and more people joined him in the chant until all 500 were screaming the same.
It wasn’t just Regus who heard this chant, it was everyone within the Aurelius fort who did.
Soon, the Aurelius clan officials were all over the area and forcefully dispersed the crowd, but Severus had already achieved what he was instructed to do.
The pushback had started.
